That was one of the best trouble shooting videos I've watched on here. I was getting deja vu watching it for everything I was going through and led me to the exact same probably. Thanks so much it saved me a ton of headaches
Thank you so much for sharing this. My Lancer drained the battery in few days if it havent been in use. Ripped that module out and not going to replace it. Havent ever used it.
@Anna Hackman Glad to be of help! This is a pretty common problem for these vehicles but if a shop isn't aware of it then it's super easy to eat up a lot of diagnosing time and probably a radio replacement too! The module is pretty unpleasant to unplug. I just unbolt them so I drop it a bit and get slightly better access to the connector.
Great video, I'm having the same problem with battery drain we've confirmed the drain is coming from the radio, we've even taking out the blue tooth adapter on the passenger side since everyone says that's the culprit, just went through my second battery so I know it's not a battery problem, took the 15amp out the radio fuse and it's been fine for 2 weeks 0 problems. Would changing the radio be worth it or will this car no longer have an infotainment/radio anymore. Help is much appreciated.
Hey man, do you live in BC? I saw the Valley Mitsubishi owners manual, same place I got my Lancer ralliart. Currently dealing with a draw on my radio hoping I can figure it out today
@Johnrobert6 Haha, ya! I'm in the Okanagan. I'd check the bluetooth/hands free module as in: ruclips.net/video/pfIEcmoMzN4/видео.htmlsi=avMoaCFhIkA5g--2&t=1247 Super common on Mitsubishis. It does involve removing the glove box but that's pretty easy to do. If you reach up and touch the box it'll feel quite warm to the touch even if the vehicle's been off for a long time.
@stevenkish Poke your head underneath the dash on the end of the driver's side closet to the door and you should see it. It's a bit annoying to get to. The link below shows it at the 3:14 mark. ruclips.net/video/pfIEcmoMzN4/видео.htmlsi=Avo_gt97N1wc8DdU&t=194

Thank you for your knowledge and content on this video, solved my problem.
@Kevin Huynh Glad to hear it! That's why I wanted to make videos. When I see and learn new things I want to be able to pass it along!
Thank you for this! All I am lacking is getting that module unplugged and it is fighting me.

I have a 2010 lancer GTS 2.4L
Do you have a factory amp? I have a draw also. When I disconnected the factory amp under the seat it quit draining my battery.
Good video , thanks 👍
