There’s ways around most of these gripes, you can always get an exterior door handle that doesn’t have the keypad in it, same with upgrading the steering wheel & replacing the interior door handles with the chipping chrome.
You should get seat covers or atleast a blanket to cover the seats. My buddy had a black lightning, same generation, and those seats had holes in them and fuzzies built up
My 01 has the regular black plastic door handle. Maybe they went to chrome in the 03-04? Main complaint about the ⚡ is finding new reproduction parts. LMR has been great but they don't have everything. Would like a new steering wheel for a couple hundred bucks instead of paying 500-1000 for it. My truck needs a lot and everything is expensive now.

Yes, they changed them to chrome in 2003 just like they changed the taillights in 2001.
Can't blame ford for the door handles. Truck might only have 30 thousand miles but it's 20 years old. Plastics age bad.
