You're headline says 2025 but the video was made a year ago. Were you able to verify for current status? Just curious what you had found out for current guidelines. I will look other places too. Great video, thanks!
Have fun paying the high property taxes every year. Not to mention the land could be infertile or toxic land spills or in tornado country.
@@travelooo yes I'd relocate definitely
How about making a museum
Number 10 nicodemus lmao 😂 that’s the name for the Devil 👿 omg 😆 that’s funny 😆
A small lot isn’t really incentive enough to up root everything and settle when such little is offered. If u do a video on five acres for really cheap I’d def be interested in that
Thanks for the feedback Joshua, I'll look into it!
Same
Definitely following
All I need is a small lot. I have drawn my own floor plan and would be delighted to sell it to a builder. So far, Kansas makes my heart sing.
Yep, agreed. 😃 Personally, I need 50 ac or more. 😉 Not worth moving otherwise. 🤷♀️
When you see, "free land", one thinks LAND, not a "lot". You know, like during homesteading days/times? 10 ac or more. 😉😐👍✌️🖖🙌🕊🕊🕊
Git rid of property taxes and I might consider it. The fact that banks and attorneys can take your home from you is sick if you fall on hard times after paying it off!
Let me guess! They "give" you the land and then tax you on it's "value" which they assess! The land was on their books at one assessment, but as soon as it's transferred to another, it gets reassessed. Then you invest money to improve the land and the assessing continues.
These "give aways" are for increasing the tax base.
That is the way it works buddy, you have to contribute to your community by paying your dues. Being given a chunk of land is a hell of a hand up to anybody willing to get off their ass and put in the sweat equity to help build this country back to the proud, stoic, non-whinny bitch country of the past.
Yeah, Kansas is the first state I think of when it comes to tax shenanigans.
@bradjohnson6322 That's hilarious! What about the people that the "community" and public servants evicted from the "free" property?! The "community" and public servants assessed them at a higher rate than they could pay in order to seize their property and gift it to a better tax payer.
The mindset of public servants is what has brought western society to the brink of ruin. Your willingness to ignore the long train of abuses and usurpations has allowed this to happen and reveals much about your character as well.
Do BETTER!
@@bradjohnson6322 We weren't taxed to death in the past.
if were just to boost taxes in the area that would be fine, but they always want to control how you are pumping money into the community while you are trying to build a new life there. take a look at the restrictions and requirements that are attached to these offers, it's pretty absurd.
Don't think for a second that anything is free
In CO water is an issue...had to MOVE due to aquifer about to go dry and the moratorium on drilling deeper. Don't think for a second that a prime piece of land would be free. RESEARCH WHY ...and don't believe for a second what any gov tells you...go to the people and find out the truth on stuff. Realtors are a lousy resource as well.
For damn sure
For hard-working individuals only. 👍
Nothing is free n neither are we
For people with money and the means to have a house built immediately
Free Land! count me in, I dont care if it's remote. Sometimes I wonder what it would be like to not be around so many people
Alright Jennifer, well sounds like you have your choice of land options!
It's nice. The only issue i have by being so far out, town is a drive and a day trip just to get groceries and the such. If you need a bolt you have to drive 60 miles to get it.
I live 20 min away from town, in Iowa. It's nice, but it gets lonely sometimes.
If you believe that then I have all kinds of land to sell you genius
I wouldn't care I would get a horse. Back to the natural things. Relief@@maddawgnoll
San Leon TX has lots of properties that are zoned for RVs. Always check the zoning laws, find out what the taxes are per sqft and always read the fine print. When in doubt, consult a real estate lawyer. Be smart and do your homework.
Great advice! It's always wise to be prepared
I wouldn't visit Texas let alone live there. Those creeps hate wome, are bigots and entitled Abusers. No
I wouldn't visit Texas let alone live there. Those creeps hate wome, are bigots and entitled Abusers. No
I wouldn't mind Elwood Nebraska, looks quaint
Nebraska has alot to offer!
We want a free country
Too many restrictions. Things have to change and probably will.
You have to wait till they nuke it
@@JudithHennessy-t5j You mean get worse? I'll agree with that. Once you give up freedom, you never get it back.
What is a “free” country?
@peteaulit Where free speech uIs not censored our money is not pissed away by unelected thieves on things we never see, and we want a govt .who represents us not somebody else.
Didn't we go through that sht a couple hundred years ago ? We have an opportunity. THE DEMOCRATS WANT TO GO SCORCHED EARTH KICKING AND SCREAMING ON THEIR WAY OUT FOR SURE.
But they're going and that's the start. FjoeBAMA INC.
Towns, yes, but not at U$A level.
The passage of the Federal Land Policy and Management Act of 1976 repealed the Homestead Act in the 48 contiguous states, but it did grant a ten-year extension on claims in Alaska.
Also look up Sagebrush rebellion.
Trump has been floating a reenstatement of the Homestead Act & selling off a LOT of federal land is being "over protected" & facing issues like CA is experiencing.
Be sure to research taxes on these states. Kansas requires state income tax, auto registration is roughly 10% of vehicle appraisal every year, and they require parents to pay fees (book rental, gym towel usage, etc) for kids to attend public schools
But it’s great if you’re a retired disabled vet… no taxes, a lot of free or discounted items all over USA!!🙏💕
At least my vehicle will have low taxes if I moved there I have a 2004 f150 but it's going to be my last vehicle .
@@LadyPositiveThinker I don't think any of these states have 100%property tax exemption even for 100% service connected vets.
Too bad that I’m so poor I can’t even afford to build a house, I’ve always wanted to have my own home but at 71 I don’t see that happening anymore.
This world isn't our permanent home. We're all passing through. Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and ALL these things shall be added unto you.🎉❤
I can't afford to build either
Go find like minded people a d do it with them.
I can't afford to live period
@@CitizenofthenewJerusalem Seems like I found a fellow pilgrim here.
It's not Free if your told how long you've got to build your home and what size home you are to build on your lot...
There is no homestead act lands open anywhere in the United States. Alaska was the last place that had homesteading and that was ended in 1984
The free land gained up to market value!
It’s not free land if you have to build on it. If it was truly free I could live in a tent or trailer if I wanted to.
Try San Leon TX
My thoughts exactly. Or what if I just want a tiny home on wheels or a house smaller than their parameters? What if I just want to hunt on the land? Agreed, not free if there are stipulations.
Yep
Right
If you have to pay taxes, on anything, it's not yours.
Sounds great, except for one destructive reason.... TORNADOES 😮
I love the concept of free land. gimme now!
YOU get free land...YOU get free land! Haha, thanks for checking it out Aiden
What you telling me they are giving land away I’ve been sleeping in the ditch and park bench or anything dry for three years now I hear people are getting free land what a beautiful country I live in
I'm from Minnesota and yes we get above 82 degrees in the summer. Maybe not as many days as in the south but yes we get hot days.
Try 120°+ in Phoenix, AZ.
I spent a summer in Mankato, MN, and it was such beautiful weather!
Is there anything *Not in tornado alley?
Think underground living is not for you?!
Minnesota isn’t tornado alley
@@M-O-Mweird. they get hit every season. So does Wisconsin. Anything considered "midwest" is tornado country
I don't go to Montana to do that because when you get old and you die they will take that land from your spouse the state will unless you're living spouse chooses to buy out your half.
I would absolutely move to any of these places for some free land. NYC is so expensive
I hear you Scott!
Well, off you go then!😂🎉
these schemes by small towns often turn out to be borderline graft scams. the restrictions and requirement they place on what you build, how you build it, who you use to build it, what materials you use to build it, how you use the land after it's built, etc... are usually pretty absurd. basically they are luring you in with half-truth offers so they milk you for as much money as they can. If the offers were genuine they'd just say "welcome to the community, thank your for choosing to build a life here" and hand you the ownership of the property.
a boring life in a dead ocean less town!!!!!! With tornados, hurricanes, droughts , and there goes my house!😢😢😢
Would like to know more on which states allow Earthship homes and they're requirements.
If you live outside the city anywhere. No one cares what you build
@@dianakidd4219 that's definitely not how it works, unfortunately. At least not in the majority of the US in the year 2024.
@@dianakidd4219 SO untrue, there are covenants in open land and restrictions.
And what kind of property taxes should we expect from these places
America and it's ridiculous tax on land is just pure insanity.
Well then, it's a good thing that trump got rid of land taxes yay.
"FREE" "land" in the middle of a neighborhood is not "land" and in no way appealing to someone actually wanting land.
How much are taxes once you build , what is there for income.
THERES GOTTA BE A CATCH
WHERE IS THE MINI FINE LINE READING THAT EVERYONE IS TOO BLIND TO READ !!!!
Looked up the taxes in New Richland Minnesota boy are they high!
Yup, blue state.
Yup. Our house value went down and our tax still went up.
Try not paying taxes on it and see how free it is
One percent of 707 is not one. One percent of 100 is one.
Nothing is ever going to be free in this country especially when it comes to the US govt and the IRS, even if they say that it's being offered up to people for free you can all just bet anything that there is a big ol hook in there somewhere guaranteed... because someone would still have to pay for property taxes and insurance not to mention any type of house or other building that they built on that property in the form of taxes permits and other services or additional fees...
Free land but some never received their 40 acres and a mule….
There are a list of rules and building requirements. For example, "Must" build at least a 1500 square foot home plus double garage etc built within a year, according to their list of requirements.
Each state is different
Way too many "Van Lifer's" are wealthy people treating homelessness like a theme park attraction which makes life for the destitute 10× harder when traditionally safe spaces to sleep either now charge a fee or consider overnight stays as trespassing.
Don’t blame the Van Lifers for this situation. Living in a van doesn’t make you wealthy but they have a roof over their head. Everyone can choose to change their life. MOVE and be prepared to change your occupation. Buy a older van and turn it into a living space and work your way up. Many are homeless often because they are not prepared to leave an area or make changes to their lives.
Many in our country actually choose that lifestyle for an area that is desirable rather than working.
a lot is not land it is city limits and it limits your life
I would love to live in Kansas again. I stayed with some friends in McPherson while traveling. Love the state.
The word "free" has lost all meaning. To be truly free means to have ZERO obligation to do or spend anything in order to obtain it. A gift without strings attached is FREE. Everything else is BS.
I have to look into each place but I’d definitely be interested
I would love to have around 100 acres to build a house and start a homestead
Free land in Kansas? I'm all about it
Kansas is waiting on you!
How tall is alpaca
Dang do they have any place where it’s warm
I wish my state in maine would give me some 49 years of being paying taxes
New Richland is about 20 miles from us. It is a nice town. Idk why they showed all those rustic cabins though. That is not what New Richland looks like.
Claremont is about an hour from us and also a nice town.
Thumbs upp'd but how 'bout a link or 3?
In today’s corporate greed, building a house even a small one will bankrupt the new owner with all the costs that come along with the new build.
How do they vote? That's important.
Look up state
Title this "Towns in the middle of nowhere you will be bored of in one afternoon."
I am ready let's go
I need this for my family too. See you all there, I pray!😊
I would want at least 5acres or more .Forget Minnesota .I want .somewhere with rolling hills somewhere in Arkansas .is there free land around vereyville Arkansas
Arkansas is one of the most beautiful states in the country. Shh don't tell anyone
Not looking for a lot….looking for 20-30 acres, maybe more so I have ample privacy even if there isn’t anyone else around.
Where can I sign up and where do I go
The Federal Government is the #1 land owner in America which is ridiculous in a so called Free Society. There needs to be a renewed push to increase a viable tax base by encouraging home/land ownership. Home steading was very successful in the past and would be again now.
Better the feds than nobility, or ultra rich. It's for the future.
@ That is a false choice on your part, home steading wasn’t for the rich in the past and will not be for the rich in the future.
There is a catch to it, You can't sell it for a certain amount of time and you have to improve on it
just remember one thing. If it's free You are the product!
Welp...you're not wrong!
You’re the product everywhere. Why not get something in return for a change?
Who is Kansas didn’t have tornadoes or i’d totally take advantage of all the free land opportunities
Everything piece of land has a hidden price tag, buy now pay later
So many possibilities!!
You have to have money, that's the catch!😅
FREE LAND!.....but you have to have money to build a house
Free land, hmm well it might be a haunted town lol or you won't truly own it and they will Tax the hell out of it or something and there should never be restrictions or time limits if you truly own your land with no POA or HOA
I watched and saw no free land? Free lots in towns I don't consider "land"
If you want to live on a postage stamp in tornado alley and where you cannot get a job, then you have some options. You may soon wish to join Dorothy in Oz.
I was wondering when someone was going to mention that😂 I currently live where we don’t tornadoes, hurricanes, tsunamis, or earthquakes… so no thanks to Kansas or Nebraska 😂
Free land if you build a 300k house in tornado alley
Aren’t all these states in tornado alley except maybe Minnesota
Why does it have to be a 1400 SF house? Where do you get the construction loan? I guess you have to qualify for the loan first to get the free land/lot.
Find out how much the taxes are per sqft. That's why they make that the minimum. There's always a catch. Read the fine print.
USA is the only country that you never really own your home even if you buy it cash. The city town hall owns your home that you worked hard for. If you’re late on your water or taxes, the city will auction your home. I don’t as late one quarter on my sewer, they never notified me that they have not received payment. Instead I got a letter with time and date which my house would be auctioned for none payment of sewer. For $421.00 they was going to auction my $500.000.00 home.
When a population of 1752 requires 7 churches the only thing you have to do is run from there lol
Were da I sign up?
Kansas home of tornadoes, no homes in Kansas due to getting wiped out constantly 😂
i would live in any of these places. Except minnesota… it’s a blue hell hole.
especially Nebraska or Iowa or Kansas.
Plainville looks good small town small problems.
I'm definitely interested. How do I begin and what forms do I need to fill out?
You have to build a house about 1,500 square feet. Very expensive with today's rates.
I surely would love peice of that land
Heck yes, I'll take some Freeland, and build it up.
Lmfao Italy, here's a house for $1 in a already built in town home. America here is free land but you need to have enough money to build all these things on it in this amount of time and your surrounded by nothing for miles and if you leave anyone can just take it from you.
All too cold for me!😮
Why was Liz Cheney on the board to approve you in Flagler CO.......what does she have to do with it???
Usually in tornado alley!❤
Naw, ill pass.
Thats is cool for country boy
Free Land! 🍍
This is B.S. Mountains in Iowa? Give me a break.
Interesting, but please turn off the annoying music. Way too loud to understand what you're saying.
Thanks for the feedback, I'll make sure to check the volume next time!
Free land, catch is that you either freeze to death or die by tornadoes... hmmm...
We've never heard of this town in Iowa, interesting
Thanks for checking out the video! Free land for everyone!
I am moving out of Massachusetts to get away from the arctic blasts and Democrats. I cannot stand a Communist loving Democrat. I do not appreciate their failed Marxist policies. I also want a state who does not tax pensions and SSI. I would love 1-2 acres. I am tired of the cold. I am tired of Democrats. Happy new Year! GOD Bless America! Trump 2025
Is this also possible for people from Europe?
I would love to have free land. I love fresh grown foods. I've seen this before but didn't believe it
Can you find some for Canada too??
You forgot to state the "catch" in Marne Iowa.
I saw a clip of the castle ruins at Ha Ha Tonka state park, at Lake of the Ozark's Mo. where I live. I don't think you'll find any free land there!
I would relocate in a heartbeat.
Free-NO, you build, you lose. Read the fine print
Do any of these allow tiny homes?
Mankato is a college town definitely some parties going on and not quiet if in the right areas
Are you thinking of Mankato, Minnesota?
Why was there 1/6 committee footage in this video starting around 8:25?
Committees as a bad thing, mob rule...
Been out there...... literally, nothing out there....like nothing. If you have an accident, ambulance will take 2 solid hours to get to you ..... Not near population centers
