Filmonik Melbourne Kabaret 2022 Trailer

The Filmonik Kabaret is our yearly all-you-can-film buffet of spontaneous creativity where everyone collaborate on as many short films as they can in a shared production space called the Kinolab at Siteworks in Brunswick. 2 sessions of filmmaking are immediately followed by gala screenings. It's fun, it's epic, you meet heaps of new people and get attached to many productions spontaneously just by hanging out in the hub.
10 days sounds massive but if you have only one day or one weekend to give it's all good because some amazing work will be done in under 48-hour while others will have the opportunity to spread their work over more days for more projects. It's a celebration of film, not a competition. No real creative restrictions, no set teams in advance. Writers and directors can come with a script ready to go but overall it's with the cast and crew present in the hub that the magic happens; short films can get written, shot and edited all in and around the hub. It's not a requirement but it's how it's done best and how you can get help immediately when you need it or how you can get busy when you want it.

There's a ticket for Directors and another for all other participants; cast, crew or any other type of film artisan. Ticket includes:
- Access to our collaborative space at Siteworks from the evening of Friday April 1 to Sunday April 10.
- Entry to the Tuesday April 5 screening and the Sunday April 10 screening
