But how to motivate a person to be creative with a blank slate of tools is also desperately tricky to design for... Hope you get your money's worth! Thanks for stopping by
Very helpful, thanks. I shall be watching small parts of your video and then trying to reproduce what you have done until I understand it, then move on to the next tip ... going to be a lot of dipping in and out.
Go and have a blast, hope you enjoy your time! Plenty of fun to be had before worrying about "build tech" Come back if you find yourself at an impasse!
I’ve started experimenting with editing save game files and there are some pretty useful things you can do, like oversized hills/cliffs, larger (or smaller) trees, unlimited structure width/length (not height though, unfortunately) and, perhaps best of all, setting the randomized clutter to a specific seed to get exactly what you want without having to click a thousand times.
I few things I hope they add Ability to add citizens. I feel like this would be optional, in case you don’t want them to be visible too. More freedom with the clutter/props. Right now we are sort of at the mercy of windows and doors, so if they worked like the flags and lights do where we can choose where they go, that would be awesome!!
The E and Q making you run faster may be related to a similar exploit in the game Meadow - the eagle is slow when gliding, but once it starts zigzagging up and down...
Cool, need to see a floating castle build taking that glitch and running with it. Btw requesting any way to make boats if at all possible for the water areas
Holy moly, I just got the game and am only a few hours in. I am proud to have two story buildings in a tiny village .... LOOK AT THAT! Wow, the patience you got to build in those narrow spaces and guiding the camera. This is very inspiring! *.*
You sound like you have a slight german accent but you are so well spoken and articulate. It really confuses the heck out of me. Seeing that there are some people commenting in german, I can't be the only one, haha. Anyhow, fantastic video! I've deliberately not looked at any building tips and tricks to find out some of these things for myself and only now allowed myself this video as an introduction on what the game has to offer. Almost done watching and can't wait to implement stuff like the flying buttresses. Can I just say, you should really consider streaming your progress on twitch.
I do stream sometimes! Generally haven't streamed Tiny Glade so far though. What with the playtests not always being public yada yada. I might see about doing so in the future! No promises though! Good luck with flying buttresses, they can be a cruel mistress! And thanks for stopping by
Great tips, thanks! By using the floating platform trick I managed to delete one of the pillars of a square building, I messed it up and had it reapper later though. I wonder if it can be used to delete more pillars perhaps...
One thing to keep in mind is that even though many of these techniques look great, Many involve a HUGE number of pieces, which can incur quite a performance hit. I have used some of these techniques myself but I would consider most of these not really the intended way to play the game. It's cool that the game supports it, but it doesn't necessarily show flair as far as playing as intended goes.
Absolutely true and completely accurate observation. The game wasn't built for this stuff and the devs didn't anticipate us doing this stuff. That said, I sell people these videos partially because I want to make the case that limited toolset doesn't necessarily mean limited options - certainly not as limited as some of the negative Steam reviews make it out to be. But yeah, some people in the community - especially me - have definitely taken the game in a strange direction from what it originally wanted to be. Thanks for taking the time!
Now the painting tool has an option to remove the merlons and change to flat top. In my opinion it is the second best addition ever, best was when we got trap doors.
Been watching ton of Tiny Glade videos and impressed with people's smaller builds. Had no idea it was capable of this kind of scale. Really hoping they continue to expand the game, bring other architectural styles, etc.
Omg all these tips and ideas are absolutely AMAZING Question for the tree pot/ railing around it: how do you keep the tree? I tried making one but as soon as I bring the “pot” onto it, the tree disappears, even if I raised it a little 😭
Aye, it's pot first, tree second! It should clip into the flowerpot just fine and stays stable as long as you don't wiggle the pot. Ironically the opposite way around from adding lanterns to roads. Where it's lantern first, road second.
Dieses Spiel ist ganz nach meinem gusto. Übrigens hört nur ein geübtes Ohr deine Deutsche Herkunft heraus. Dein Englisch ist Einwandfrei. Sehr guter Video
Your video is amazing ! But I have a question : how do you do to plant a très in the city ? You talk about the tree pot but i’ll want how do you plant this tree :) (sorry, my english is very bad 😅)

Go and have a blast, hope you enjoy your time! Plenty of fun to be had before worrying about "build tech" Come back if you find yourself at an impasse!
Love the drawbridge
OMG thank you!!! You had to put in so much work... Amazing video! Thank you 💚
taking tiny glade to the next lvl!!!!!!
Majestic build!!!!!!
OMG I hope someone builds the whole Bloodborne map in this if the map size allows it (or if modding allows it) 👀 Amazing work on this city!
Wow. It's so beautiful ❤
Jesus christ this game is barely out and people are bouta build Paris from the bottom up 😭😭😭
I built one village and felt pretty good about myself…. Then I saw this
I few things I hope they add
Ability to add citizens.
What I can offer you is

And
2:43:30 (It's just fence arches again)
This is incredible
Vraiment incroyable 🙂
I love getting creative with all the limitations but I still truly dread building stairs and wish there was a simple triangle shape stair builder.
Better stair builder has seen some experimental implementations before I'm told but so far nothing made it to release. Fingers crossed for the future!
Thank you for the very informative video !
+1 sub
Omg all these tips and ideas are absolutely AMAZING
Question for the tree pot/ railing around it: how do you keep the tree? I tried making one but as soon as I bring the “pot” onto it, the tree disappears, even if I raised it a little 😭
Aye, it's pot first, tree second! It should clip into the flowerpot just fine and stays stable as long as you don't wiggle the pot. Ironically the opposite way around from adding lanterns to roads. Where it's lantern first, road second.
Can you PLEASE dedicate an entire video on how you made those catwalks?
“Last tip- that’s a lie” should be the title of this video 😂
would love an online mode for tiny glade that let you wlak around other people's creations!
excited for this little masterpiece
Dieses Spiel ist ganz nach meinem gusto. Übrigens hört nur ein geübtes Ohr deine Deutsche Herkunft heraus. Dein Englisch ist Einwandfrei. Sehr guter Video
Your video is amazing ! But I have a question : how do you do to plant a très in the city ? You talk about the tree pot but i’ll want how do you plant this tree :) (sorry, my english is very bad 😅)
