An interesting fact to know is that Deadlock (used to be known as project citadel in its developmental days) was at one point to be set in the half life universe as a mp only game, rebels vs the combine, and most likely wouldve resembled this

Yknow, I don't understand why halflife fans don't come together and just do stuff like this, the most we've gotten is custom campaigns/ mod overhauls and... hunt down the freeman, a multiplayer game like this is something I know valve would support 100% and I bet tons of fans would be willing to help. One can only dream

Cool Concept. Problem is it that it suffers from the Star Wars Battlefront Problem. I.E One faction looks cooler than the other. Who would want to play as boring ass Rebels when you can play as the Technologically Diverse Combine?
I would like to see the author make a rebel version in the future. It'd be fascinating to see what kind of cool designs and ideas the rebels would be imagined to have.

The problem is that there were no humans in the combine army during the 7 hour war, it was only after breen stepped up that humans were let in​@@thecoder7817

All of these are fan animations. While HL3 is in the works, they haven't released anything about it (at least not the latest attempt), and probably won't until it's ready.

I'm glad this isn't real because the last thing we need is Half Life turning into yet another live service multiplayer game. Single player only please with a possible co op mode like decay as an option. I don't want to grind out leader boards or buy battle passes.
