CHAUNCY COMMUNITY DAY 2024 V2

A huge thank you to everyone involved in our annual Community Day today. We worked with over thirty schools and organisations running 87 activities at Chauncy, in Ware and its villages. We welcomed hundreds of primary children into Chauncy for lessons taught by our students, and we visited many local schools to run sessions too. We did gardening, painting and odd jobs at churches, schools and nurseries. We did litter picks around the town and several river clean-up walks throughout the day. Our Year Sevens had talks by the Police, learned about self-defence and water safety and participated in a workshop on Internet Safety by Future Hope.
Fortunately the weather was kind, despite forecasts earlier in the week and the eleven mini-buses required to transport students around the town behaved themselves this year.
Another amazing effort.
