I was introduced to Pink Floyd in 1974 with Dark Side - my best friend's brother had it and we had to sneak into his room to get it and listen to it over and over when his brother was gone. got Wish You Were Here as a Christmas present in 1975 and rushed out to buy Animals as soon as it hit the music store near my house... The 70's was the absolute best decade for music, wasn't it?

The instrumental timbre is sophisticated, it seems softened, the harmonic replenishments are meticulous, and they are everywhere and a little predictable. Ultimately it doesn't seem like an advantage to me. This version lacks a bit of rawness, the sense of agony and twilight desolation is lost.
