Hello Sky Anderson ! Nightwish fans here, your musical quest summoned us. Welcome to the world of symphonic metal! And thank you for checking this legendary band, performing here at Wacken Open Air in 2013, together with Floor Jansen, the 3rd and present female singer of the band, in front of a 82k+ audience. About the instrumental and vocal added parts - it's good to know they recorded their orchestral and vocal back tracks with prestigious institutions as London Philharmonic Orchestra. London's The Metro Voices choir group and London's Young Musicians Children's Choir as their regular partners. As I saw, you enjoyed the powerful performance of the band, together with the stellar vocals of our Dutch metal queen, Floor Jansen. Hope you'll continue on this path. Since this is your first Nightwish reaction, it is my duty to give you the [updated] short history of the band concentrated by Ann Waychoff, one of the biggest Nightwish fan who has since passed away (and I am doing this in her memory): " Nightwish was started in 1996.They are considered a Symphonic Metal band, with a female main singer. They are from Finland. Tuomas Holopainen, the keyboard player, composes and writes the lyrics for 95% of their music. [The 1st Bassist of the band was Sami Vanska, he was with them until 2001. The 2nd one was Marco Hietala, as Bassist and vocals, since 2001 to 2020. He recently announced his retirement both from the band and the public life for the next year at least - we'll see what the future brings to us. Then very recently (May 2021) Jukka Koskinen became the 3nd Bassist of the band, for at least the Human :II: Nature tour] And there is the guitarist Emppu Vuorinen . Then there is Troy Donockley from UK who is a multi-instrumentalist and vocals. Jukka Nevalainen is the drummer. In 2015 due to Jukka's health issues Kai Hahto became the drummer and as of now is a permanent addition. Nightwish has had three singers. 1st one was Tarja Turunen (Operatic vocals). She was with them until 2005. The 2nd one was Anette Olzon from Sweden (Poppy, strong vocals). She was with them until 2012.The 3rd and current singer is Floor Jansen, from Netherlands (power, operatic, soprano.....most versatile) - you just heard her. There are live concerts that you should use depending on what era. From Wishes to Eternity and End of an Era (Tarja), Montreux Festival live 2012 and Exit Festival (Anette), Live at Wacken 2013, Live at Wembley, Live at Tampere, Vehicle of Spirit, Decades live (Floor). I hope this helps. I want to welcome you to the Nightwish community. I hope you like them enough to continue the journey. Believe me Nightwish will surprise you with their songs. You will never know what to expect. They are unbelievable live. I want to warn you that Nightwish fans are hard core. So be prepared. lol " Hoping you'll continue this journey with us, I'll drop here a list of songs (with links) with the current lineup of the band you may like (please consider this list of links only as "a tip of the iceberg", an indication that they have a vast and very diverse repertoire, and not as something mandatory): "Storytime" live at Wacken 2013 (uplifting vocals) ruclips.net/video/pvkYwOJZONU/видео.html "Romanticide" live at Wacken 2013 (metal) ruclips.net/video/zz_7OCCQlXs/видео.html "Ever Dream" live at Wacken 2013 (uplifting vocals) ruclips.net/video/1Xi4n8dJcF8/видео.html "Song Of Myself" live at Wacken 2013 (dark/metal) ruclips.net/video/lQu5QjidHWg/видео.html "Dead Boy's Poem" - live Buenos Aires 2018 (soulful ballad) ruclips.net/video/S8E3L7ggLMM/видео.html "Ghost River" live at Wacken 2013 (metal) ruclips.net/video/05eitd-EA6I/видео.html "Dark Chest Of Wonders" live at Wacken 2013 (metal, the greatest show opener ever) ruclips.net/video/OvOD6xecph4/видео.html "My Walden" live at Wembley 2015 (celtic / folk) ruclips.net/video/knqeI807ZlY/видео.html "Sleeping Sun" live at Vizovice Masters of Rock festival 2016 (ballad) ruclips.net/video/pVPTUEW1PEM/видео.html "The Islander" live at Tampere 2015 (Marco in charge..) ruclips.net/video/Zo8ncK_5kzc/видео.html "Stargazer" live at Tampere 2015 (operatic vocals / metal) ruclips.net/video/NhEuAPYm_Ug/видео.html "Alpenglow" live at Wembley 2015 (uplifting / metal) ruclips.net/video/FrJvKZNEh7g/видео.html "Sahara" live at Tampa 2016 (middle eastern vibe) ruclips.net/video/lTvYfLa4Wlk/видео.html "Slaying The Dreamer" live at Buenos Aires 2018 (metal) ruclips.net/video/wA44tjaP5n0/видео.html "I Want My Tears Back" live at Buenos Aires 2018 (celtic / folk vibe) ruclips.net/video/TBOdgxjb0kM/видео.html "Devil & The Deep Dark Ocean" live In Buenos Aires 2018 (metal) ruclips.net/video/t26r_vAYQ0Q/видео.html "Weak Fantasy" live at Tampere 2015 (dark metal) ruclips.net/video/AN239Pbqbjo/видео.html "7 Days To The Wolves" live at Wembley 2015 (dark metal) ruclips.net/video/XvsfwAPbWXc/видео.html And if you want to hear Floor growling :) then try "Yours Is An Empty Hope" live at Mexico City in 2015 ruclips.net/video/DuwY1d-KIss/видео.html Last but not the least - they just released their 9th studio album on April 10th 2020 named "Human :||: Nature" - just take a peek to their official playlist: ruclips.net/p/PLihZ3gi5Yvzc0pfH2cbNKUUX8o3pb8eVg (for example: "Shoemaker", the 3rd track from this album, tells the story of Eugene Shoemaker, one of the founders of planetary science, whose ash was sent on the Moon after his death, as a tribute from the scientific community ..) The links presented above are with the current singer of the band, Floor Jansen, since I'm a fan of the recent era of the band, with Floor as the singer. I have nothing against previous singers, but I do not consider myself the most suitable person to give specific recommendations from their repertoires. That being said, I will add here the message left the other days by some old fans of the band, @Fabrizio Gorla: " To be fair to the old fanbase, you may want to include also some of these songs. * The Tarja era *: Nightwish - Wishmaster [Live] ruclips.net/video/eJTlH521E6w/видео.html Nightwish - End Of All Hope [Live at the Summer Breeze festival 2002] ruclips.net/video/ESlyjQl90p0/видео.html NIGHTWISH - The Phantom Of The Opera ruclips.net/video/tL25rbnvM4o/видео.html Nightwish - Dark Chest Of Wonder [Live End Of An Era 2005] ruclips.net/video/ROdKrGVVuI8/видео.html Nightwish - The Siren [Live End Of An Era 2005] ruclips.net/video/LUy8T_3kieI/видео.html @DeeDee80: Gabriel, would be good to add in the Tarja list "Pharaoh Sails To Orion" ruclips.net/video/ZpkH187t5Mk/видео.html . Nightwish Army reporting from the Netherlands. Welcome to the wonderful world of Nightwish. They are from Finland. What you've heard here is just the tip of what this band can do. Nightwish really hits you in your heart. And that's what makes this band so unique. Her name is Floor Jansen and she is Dutch. There were 82,000 people there. Watch out because the Army will come.
@@SkyAndersonReacts hey Sky just a cpl pro reactor tips : try to go back a bit after a pause to keep song continuity and so none of the many transitions NW is known for will be missed, your viewers will appreciate it :) also best to avoid pauses mid vocals ,cheers
I didn't even know that...He should be rather referred to as the "Metal Sibelius", more accordingly to his fellow countryman composer, and his style.. 🙂
For Floor singing solos check out the Dutch singing show "Beste Zangers". She appeared in the 2019 season together with several famous European performers. Example Shallow: ruclips.net/video/M68pe4a_9zk/видео.html
2 minutes in and she utters the familiar phrase “ she has a beautiful voice “. NW fans: “You just wait…,” 🤗😊 And she’s not a “girl”, she’s Floor Jansen our Goddess
To be fair, Floor looked young for being 32 years old when she was on stage at Wacken 2013. This was before motherhood. I think she still looks young for her age but now of course she is no longer a girl. Goddess of Vocals and the Stage (and humility).
@@jerseybultaoreune6107 I know! She looks like maybe mid-twenties here, right? Floor was born in February 1981. This performance was filmed in August 2013. She turned 40 this year (2021) and is a mother now, but really still does not look her age.
Floor´s voice is so incredibly beautiful it can heal the most broken person. I have been listening to her daily for 6 months and she makes me feel again after going through many years of chronic illness and burnout. Floor is a beautiful gift to this world and I will always be grateful for that. Nightwish has literally changed my life and it sounds hyperbole but it couldn´t be more true :) btw- if you really want to hear her voice react to How´s the heart? live (Planet Rock) It is Floor and an acoustic guitar. Truly spectacular!
Not quite a cappella, but Floor has covered Heart's "Alone" accompanied just by piano, and it's quite phenomenal: ruclips.net/video/1fu-yP6q6Gk/видео.html Ghost Love Score is about a love that never happened (the ghost of a love). The lyricist wants this love to strip him of the scars that life has inflicted on him and return him to childlike innocence.
If you want hear Floor little more purely with only acoustic guitar there is how's the heart acoustic version just troy and Floor... ruclips.net/video/yYtkPpFYzOo/видео.html
Her name is Floor Jansen ……and her version of Lady gaga’s Shallow is absolutely stunning, it is the best song to appreciated her versatile and stunning voice…….. she sings like an angel allright
this girl..if you hear her once you will never forget her name, Floor Jansen or as we call her the vocal Godess, the Valkyrie Queen. you have been floored Sky, a case of multiple Floorgasms 😂💥💥💥 to hear her voice try the acoustic version of "How's the Heart" from Planet Rock any other song of this Wacken Concert Live 2013 is on the same level, pure masterpieces. hope to see more NW reactions, only the Sky is the limit 😂😇🤘🤘🤘
"You guys said she was a good vocalist".. That, my friend, is a humungous understatement :). Nice reaction, welcome to the wonderful world of Nightwish.
A big welcome to the Nightwish Universe from Nightwish Army Denmark 🇩🇰 👍. You are on to something when you are talking about a roller-coaster of sound. This is Symphonic Metal - the merge of symphony and metal music, often written in chapters like symphonies. The goal is to tell stories in a way that the audience gets the ultimate experience of each song. Not an easy task!! - but the composer Tuomas (keyboard) is a genuine genius. He writes complexed music and writes deep derp poetic and very complexed lyrics, that are meant to interpretated individual by the listener. He is well-known as Metal Mozart!! All the musicians and pro - really pro and tight. Never does any kind of show-off stuff - only what is necessary to enhance the experience. And Floor... Floor graduate on the dutch Rock Academy (4 years) - and then added 1 year of Classical plus 1 year of musical - plus individual vocal training with coaches. She is also giving Master classes herself - but what is really making Floor exceptional, are her ability to mix the different genres fluently. She can do opera techniques in her belting, and simultaneously add vibrator, distortion or whatever she want. That is incredibly rare, and techniques she has developed herself. She masters emotions, passions and all kinds of colors with her voice. Imagine being a composer and songwriter of Tuomas's caliber, suddenly having no limits at all - Floor can literally do anything!!! That's Nightwish - in short. You asked for an a capella - and everybody suggested the acoustic "How is the Heart" - completely understandable - but you must do it as a double then: 1. "How is the Heart" - from Human Nature. 2. "How is the Heart" - Planet Rock Radio. Otherwise you will not see the real difference - and the tecnically issues in this song are significant!! But personally I would suggest that you start with a Nightwish ballad, where Floor spellbinds 24.000 people: Sleeping Sun, Tampere 2015. Her voice here, and how she uses classical techniques here and there, to create the experience people gets - this gives you a picture of Tuomas's writing, performed by the ultimate storyteller - Floor. ruclips.net/video/rsotlzr9wNw/видео.html Greetings from Nightwish Army Denmark 🇩🇰 👍 💪 🤘 🤘 🤘
I believe i had goosebumps and some tears after my first listen to this version of the song with Floor behind the vocals. Yeah, there not much you can say after that kind of ride. Now your channel is complete with your first female fronted band (more female singers to come). Now its time to fill in the gaps. Your top views are Tool and Rammstein. Floor and her vocals will creep on those other views and take no prisoners. AWESOME REACTION!
A" good vocalist "... yeah right. You mean the best female singer on the planet She is the real deal. She is better than all the female singers .why? Her voice, her versatility, stamina, high notes, low notes, stage presence, you name it. 🤩😎😁🤩😎😁 The Valkyrie Goddess of Metal and Empathy can do it all.
The Army is coming...Nightwish is a band with a flood of talent. Floor Jansen, the vocalist, is out of this world, Tuomas the keyboardist and composer of the majority of the songs, Emppu with the guitar, Marko with the bass, Kai (here was Jukka) drums, troy (vocals/ instruments). This show at Wacken at 2013 was incredible. Sugestion for the next react "Storytime". Ty for the react Sky. Subscribed ;)
Thank you Steve! I'm currently working on a second channel asmr talking reading type videos. I've had alot of ppl say they love my voice and that it helps them relax. If you're interested be on the look out. I will announce it!
Hi Sky. Watch her sing on the Dutch show "Beste Zangers" (2019), she does songs like Shallow, but you will like her doing Phantom of the Opera and Vilja Lied. Her name is Floor Jansen. If you like her doing Opera, then watch her performance of "O Mio Babbino Caro." For her Nightwish performances, check out "Storytime", "Everdream", and "Nemo" from the same performance (Wacken 2013). Also check out "The Poet and the Pendulum" from Wembley Stadium, and "The Greatest Show on Earth" from Tampere (Finland). The band, Nightwish, is crazy good. Floor is the 3rd vocalist for the band (taking over, fulltime, in 2013). The first vocalist, Tarja Turunen, was crazy good too. The middle vocalist, Anette Olzon, was more of a pop singer. I could explain more, but I think Gabriel gave a pretty good detailed account of the band. Hope you enjoy the other performances. 🤘🤘🤘
I haven't read all the comments, so I will just leave my part here.. It's a long read, but you asked to be informed.. I will do my best.. Nightwish has formed in 1996 by Tuomas Holopainen (Keys and songwriting, but also composes most of the songs) and Emppu Vuorinen (Guitarist) and former lead singer Tarja Turunen. The former drummer Jukka Nevalainen and former bass player Sami Vänskä soon joined the band. In 1997 they released there first album called Angels Fall First. After this release they were having succes in Finland, where they are from, but it didn't take off before releasing Oceanborn in 1998. After that the Wishmaster album dropped in 2000 and in 2002 Century Child saw the light. Fans of the first hour would probably still tell you those three albums are still the most loved. At this point Nightwish is doing great in Europe, but still haven't made it to the American market. That changed all in 2004 when they released the album called Once. The single Wish I had an Angel was showed on MTV. They produced three more singles and two music videos for the Once album, as well as a re-recording of the song Sleeping Sun for the compilation album, Highest Hopes: The Best of Nightwish, before Turunen's dismissal in October 2005. Wait what?! Dismissal? Yes. If you ask any fan before 2005 you will get a different break down on how this all went. I will give you the "official" statement. In short came down to the fact Tarja was already speaking of leaving the band the next year (2006) for a solo career, also there were talks she and the band were not on the same page of the direction they would go to. On top off that there were supposed to be some problems between her manager and also husband. So the band fired her, with an open letter, (you see the link in Romanticide) after the show recorded for the live album/DVD End of an Era. Since Tarja and Tuomas were growing up together, as you can imagine, there was much to lose emotionally. The thing was he had the feeling that he was most to blame for letting her go. After this things went bad. There were fans throwing Tuomas under the bus. He destroyed Nightwish according to them, even though the music and lyrics mostly came from him. Fans were saying that Tarja didn't deserve to be treated this way, etc. This made him very depressed and he was having suicidal thoughts. He wrote a song about it called Poet and the Pendulum (if you want to react to this song, please do some others first, make sure you do do the Wembley 2016 version of it.). In this song he describes the impact this part of his life had on him. 2 years went by without very little news. You would read somewhere Tuomas was writing music but that was about it. Then in May of 2007 the word dropped Anette Olzon joined the band to replace Tarja. That September, the band released their sixth album, Dark Passion Play. The album's lead single, Amaranth, became one of their most successful in songs Europe. The supporting tour, one of their largest, started on October 6, 2007 and ended on September 19, 2009. They released an EP/live album, Made in Hong Kong (And in Various Other Places), in March of 2009 as a CD/DVD, and their seventh studio album, Imaginaerum, was released in late 2011. Anette was not much liked by the early fans. Of course she did bring some new ones too but that seemed not to cover the fans lost. Reason for this was mostly because of her sound. Tarja is a soprano with a very own sound. This is what made Nightwish so great and stand apart from other female fronted metalbands. SInce Anette sounded way more pop and could not deliver the same kind of notes as Tarja did, she was not accepted by those old fans. On October 1, 2012, the announcement was made that they had parted ways with Olzon for what I understand she wants to be more with her family and start her own. Nightwish would be finishing the tour with, at that time, ReVamp vocalist (ex-After Forever) Floor Jansen. In October 2013 (You see how short she was with the band at that Wacken show) they made Jansen, and longtime session uilleann pipes player Troy Donockley, permanent members of the band. They were featured in the acclaimed album Endless Forms Most Beautiful, released on March 27, 2015. On July 15, 2019, it was announced on the band's Facebook page that Kai Hahto would be permanently taking over from Jukka Nevalainen as the band's drummer; in a statement, Nevalainen explained that whilst he was managing his insomnia very well and having few issues, he did not want to 'push his luck' by returning to the band as a full-time member. He did confirm, however, that he would continue in his role taking care of band-related business behind the scenes. I discovered them late 2002 I would say. Saw them live with Tarja in 2004 and 2005. Saw them live at Wacken 2005, still with Tarja. In 2008 at Wacken with Anette and 2009 as well. With Floor I saw them in 2013 at Alcatraz Festival. My recommendations to songs you need to react to first? Well, this is all with Floor, so you can get to know the current Nightwish first. - Romanticide at Wacken 2013 - Song of Myself at Wacken 2013 - Ghost River at Wacken 2013 - Ever Dream at Wacken 2013 - She's My Sin at Wacken 2013 - Dark Chest of Wonders at Wacken 2013 - I Want My Tears Back at Wacken 2013 - Last Ride of the Day at Wacken 2013 - Poet and the Pendulum at Wembley 2016 (Do some research about this song first please) - The Greatest Show on Earth at Tampere 2015 (this one.. hold back for as long as you can.. kind of a masterpiece..) When you did all the above it is really time you should check out the (2 hour) documentary "Please learn the set list in 48 hours". It's a documentary about the joining of Floor (and Troy) becoming part of the band. It really helps to understand how this all take place. After this all you are kinda set to explore the past and the future Nightwish, they realeased a new album early 2020 and live DVD (in december 2019). If you want some do some reactions with Tarja you should check "The Phantom of the Opera" live, also check "Sleeping Sun". Floor also was in a Dutch TV show called "Beste Zangers" back in 2019. You can find the songs on youtube. Very cool to check out if you like the voice of Floor. In this program she did a few different songs, also non metal, so if you want to see what she is capable of you have something to go off. So, this is my part of information about Nightwish. If you've read it, a like would be kinda nice.. not that you need to, but hey.. Have a nice day!
"How's the Heart"...... you will definitely want to hear that one! There are two versions, but listen to the acoustic version first! Her voice is sooooooooooooooo amazing!!!
Welcome to the wonderful world of NIGHTWISH!!!!! Keep on this journey, pretty lady!!! And whatever Gabriel says, read every word, and listen! He will never steer you wrong!!! I’m sure he gave you some amazing links!!! Good luck on your journey!!! You’ll be a completely different person when you get into Nightwish, and Floor’s solo work! Tuomas also has some solo work as well, worthy of checking out! Especially the Scrooge McDuck stuff with Johanna (his wife). The bass player (Marko, has stepped away from the band), Emppu is the guitar 🎸 player. Jukka is no longer on the drum kit, but he is still behind the scenes. Kai is the drummer that took his spot. If you think Floor is amazing, just wait till you watch “Learn the setlist in 48 hours” it’ll make you more aware of how amazing she actually is. The Nightwish Army has arrived!!! We got you! ❤️ best wishes on your journey! Nightwish is more than just a band!!! You’ll see how capable they are of HEALING ❤️🩹 YOU!!!

Floor is a Siren, a Valkyrie, a Goddess in leather, she will steal your soul, crush your heart, and leave you wishing for more. Succubus. And i love her.
"Her voice is so pretty"... When she wants it to be. Her voice is whatever she wants it to be. There's a saying that goes around on these Nightwish reaction videos.... other singers sing what they can. Floor sings whatever she wants! Loved the reaction. You have another new sub!
@@SkyAndersonReacts hey Sky ,just an FYI ,I read your comment to Gabriels list, actually there is not agreement that any reactor should only follow Gabs list at the exclusion of all other viewer comments for recommendations ,as his list is good it is not complete or with the best versions, when reactors choose to follow only one persons song recommendations then many other fans/viewers will tend to ask themselves why bother to comment or even watch and they tend to go elsewhere,so keep in mind there is no "official" designated person that ANY reactor should exclusively only be directed by for song recommendations .
Floor's training includes 3 years of rock and 1 year of opera/classical/musical theater. Her versatility, power and pitch perfect voice puts her a cut above other female singers. Floor does live what most singers can't even do in a studio. She could be a Diva, but she's not. She lives deep in the forest in Sweden with her husband (drummer of Sabaton), Daughter and a bunch of animals. Floor sings "How's the Heart" written by Tuomas/keyboards accompanied only by Troy on an acoustic guitar. Wonderful song for a wonderful voice. 😀🤘 ruclips.net/video/yYtkPpFYzOo/видео.html
Hi Skye...I am almost embarrassed to say this but three days ago I had not heard of them, let alone one of their songs. And now I call them one of my favourite bands. I have listened to nothing else for 3 days. Ghost, Love, Score....Greatest Show on Earth, and Everdream. Love it all. I can't believe I had never heard of them and how much time I missed out on not having this music in my life.
This was the same for me up until 12 months ago having not heard of Nightwish or Floor before. A friend pestered me in to listening to Nightwish but the symphonic metal genre has never appealed to me but I relented and listened and watched to "The Poet and the Pendulum" live from Wacken 2013 and OMG I was blown away and have been ever since. Phenomenal band.
Lyrically, the song is about reflecting on a lost love which, metaphorically speaking, is now a "ghost" (in the sense of a memory that is haunting us). Her name is Floor Jansen (pronounced "Yansen"). She is a Dutch singer who is classically trained. I would recommend you check out the song "Ever Dream" next. There are several version on RUclips, but you'd want the one from this same concert, filmed in 2013 at the Wacken Open Air Festival in Germany.
I discovered Nightwish from a reaction channel of a classically trained classical music composer. Then I stumbled across them again on a channel of an internationally famous opera singer. I have been in awe of their music. I've always been into hard rock and metal, but to discover a symphonic metal band like this was sheer joy. It seems as though you have the exact same impression. You need to go on a Nightwish journey.
The song...it's a score, like a movie score. Each section is kind of a movement. The song is about a love that never happened. A Ghost Love. It's rather romantic and very poetic. And Floor Jensen....she's the singer. A Valkyrie come to Midgard. That stammering, goosebumpy, teary feeling? That's called a Floorgasm. Congrats on your first, may it not be your last! Follow Gabriel's suggestions and you will do very well. As for their songs, my favorite is the one to which I am currently listening. The bassist also has a fantastic voice. As for a capella, I believe somewhere she does a Bello Mio. Pure opera. Floor has her own channel, and she does do some solo covers. Worth checking out! Welcome!
15 song set, this is song13. Floor Jansen is Dutch, band is Finnish but one more member from the UK not playing in this song. 82,000 people at Wacken in 2013 who had not heard her sing with band before as only joined ten months ago to finish their tour for them. Needless to say she was invited to join on a permanent basis and is still there
Its a pretty typical to be lost for words after seeing this video. You have just listened to the finest female singer of our time and maybe of all time . Remember the moment you heard of her singing with Nightwish. Your life is most probably never going to be the same. Listen to Gabriel. He is the one who knows.
It's amazing isn't it? How crazy it is to see and hear a band be so tight and talented and to have that Godess on the vocals...and to be this amazing live🔥🔥
The song is about unrequitted love. Welcome to Nightwish, pure magic and the deepest rabbit hole you can imagine. And yes, you have seen NOTHING yet. 😊 The vocalist Floor Jansen is unbelievable, not from this world. So much to discover. If you cannot wait for an accoustic song - "How's the Heart". But if you like to take a long run, trust Gabriel's list. 😉
Just came across your reaction welcome you've just witnessed our Queen (Floor Jansen) one of the best female artists in the world you haven't seen nothing yet enjoy your in for a long ride 👍🤘🤘
How's the heart accoustic planet rock session would be a good one for you to check out. Not Acapella but very stripped down and just two vocals (her with Troy backing her) and an accoustic guitar
Nightwish Shadow Unit from Estonia reporting in ! Valkyrie Queen spotted ! Gabriel Bardac entered ! Nightwish Army is here !!! Excellent reaction Sky Anderson 🤘😎🤘 Floor Jansen is a soprano, with a range of more than three octaves D3 to F6 she has a range beyond belief, she's also a voice coach and teacher to boot. Floor her name is derived from the Roman Goddess of Spring, Flora. Floor Jansen is called the Valkyrie Goddess of Metal and Empathy!!! Take Gabriel's list as a guide to your journey... We hope, that there will be more Nightwish
Omg.... OK, I'm gonna start off by saying this.... You have probably the most hypnotic and sweetest voice I have ever heard in my life.... Wow... That out of the way, absolutely loving the background lighting 😍
Great reaction. You just discovered one of my favorite bands with one of my favorite singers. Gabriel explained everything about Nightwish. Hope you will react on more songs of them. Thank you for this reaction. Subscribed.
Floor Jansen is a classically trained and a professional voice coach with at least 20 years experience, awesome the Queen of metal,❤️Floor Jansen can do anything from death metal growling to high opera notes, awesome thanks 😀
Welcome to the rabbit hole (: There’s a lot to this band. You’ll see it’s quite a dedicated fan base. My favorite songs are this one, Storytime, Poet and the Pendulum (the masterpiece), Romanticide, Dead Boy’s Poem, and Yours is an Empty Hope. I love that you referenced Lacuna Coil! Very underrated! Great reaction!
Floor Jansen is a vocal athlete with incredible range, versatility, vocal stamina, and stage presence. She is a soprano with a range of more than three octaves (D3 to F6). When listening to her sing, it is apparent that she has spent the better part of her life fine-tuning her instrument with help from several vocal coaches. Floor can sing in multiple languages and genres and is a vocal coach herself. It is incredible how she is able to take any song and make it her own. This woman is a true gift to her craft and an incredible addition to a band that has always been great until 2013 when they officially hired the undisputed Queen of Metal, Floor Jansen, making Nightwish the greatest band on the planet. Welcome to the Nightwish rabbit hole. Nightwish Army U.S. ( Urban Operators ) in the house.
Liked and subscribed.... I loved your reaction, its always good to see the confused, happy, wonderstruck but happy expressions go across a new reactors face....this song is but the tip of the iceberg as far as nightwish goes... I hope you enjoy the rabbit hole you have just entered. BTW, I'm not a young metal drenched head-banging twenty something, I'm a 60 year old guy from middle England and have recently found this amazing band and loving every song I hear, I hope you do to..... Be well, be happy and rock on with Nightwish 🤘🤘🤘
From what I heard this song is the most reacted to song on RUclips. Welcome to the club. Yes, Floor Jansen is classically trained. For a song that has more of an intimate sound check out her cover of "Shallow" on the show Best Zangers.
welcome to the fantastic musical universe of Nightwish and Floor Jansen, queen of the stage and goddess of music, she can sing anything in any musical style she wants (WARNING! her voice, her stage presence, her charisma, in one word: her "spell" is highly addictive). this performance of "ghost love score" is one of the three best performances of the nightwish band, together with "the poet and the pendulum" from 2015 concert at the london wembley arena and "the greatest show on earth" from 2015 concert in tampere - finland (actually there is a fourth best performance: "dead boy's poem" from the 2018 concert in buenos aires). in the meantime, from the same concert (wacken 2013) I suggest you to react to: "song of myself", "storytime" and "ever dream"
Nightwish is my second favourite band but Floor Jansen is my favourite female singer of all time, plus she is in my opinion the most beautiful woman on the planet. Unfortunately she is married to Sabaton's drummer Hannes van Dahl who is from my favourite band. Floor Jansen has worked with Sabaton on some of there songs either for the end credits of there videos or as a background singer for there songs. Nightwish is from Finland and they are just an outstanding talented band, with the greatest composer of music in the world Tuomas. They are a band who have an Army of fans and with Floor Jansen as singer you can include Sabaton Fan's as well. British Sabaton Fan 💂♂️💂♂️💂♂️💂♂️🇬🇧🇬🇧🏴🏴🇸🇪🇳🇱🇫🇮
8:23 - to answer you question: this is live at wacken, a small town in germany with 2000 citizens. the metal festival itself is called simply "Wacken Open Air" and takes place yearly since 1990 - except last year and this year, you can probably guess why... it started very small and now draws in about 80000 people from all over the world every year.. which is insane when you think about a place with 2000 people getting swarmed by 80k metal fans :) so this whole think wasn't a nightwish concert, but a metal festival with multiple bands performing each year
Sky welcome to the Nightwish Army ... Michigan chapter here ... there are millions of us members world wide ... enjoy your journey down the Nightwish Rabbit hole !!!!!
Our 1.83m Dutch Valkyrie Queen Floor Jansen is the third and present singer of Nightwish and widely considered the best and most versatile female singer of our time, yet undiscovered by a broad audience. As I am a Flooraholic from Utrecht, The Netherlands, here is some more background information on her. She joined the band 'After Forever' in 1997 at the age of 16. My favourite song is 'Energize Me'. They made a very beautiful music video out of this. Floor attended the then new Rock Academy in 1999 and graduated in 2003. Later she did a year Conservatory to learn some more classical singing. 'After Forever' disbanded in 2009 and Floor started her own band 'Revamp' from scratch. Here she experimented with different vocal styles within one song, such as from full operatic to serious growls in seconds. The songs 'Disdain' and 'Wild Card' are good examples. During this time Floor also did vocal coaching and as Floor is a perfectionist she wants to do everything at 100%+. Eventually she had to pay the price and got a burnout. She had just recovered when end of september 2012 the call came from Nightwish to fill in for the remainder of the American Tour as their second singer Annette got ill. Floor had just 48 hours to learn the whole setlist. There is a documentary made of this world tour ('Please learn the setlist in 48 hours'). The lyrics of the songs of Nightwish are very poetic and the music as a whole is challenging, but Floor pulled it off and she stayed for the whole world tour, culminating in this iconic Wacken 2013 Open Air festival which set new standards in open air concerts. It was obvious that the match Nightwish and Floor Jansen was made in Walhalla, so she became a permanent member of the band in 2013 as the relationship with Annette and the band was strained even before she became ill. Floor continued to perform with 'Revamp' for a couple of years, but it became clear that she could not combine the two for much longer, so Revamp disbanded in 2016. Floor did a side project called 'Northward' where she dived into the Hard Rock scene. The song 'While Love Died' is a must see. Her stunning performances on the Dutch TV show 'Beste Zangers 2019' gave her at last some more recognition in her home country where she was relatively unknown until then. There are numerous guest appearances with other bands to find on RUclips. To see how to get a crowd of metalheads silenced and in awe, watch her featuring with the band 'Epica' and the song 'Stabat Mater Dolorosa'. And to see her in full opera mode watch her rendition of 'O Mio Babbino Caro' from Puccini. As live concerts were cancelled and home isolation due to the Covid situation, Floor discovered RUclips in the last year and uploaded many interesting videos on her channel. Mindblowing covers, chats with her idols and other singers, vocal masterclasses, personal insights and so much more. She even made a video reacting to herself performing this song at Wacken. Lots of technical info and some memories of her starting with Nightwish. Also her 'Fan Friday' videos are hilarious. Just unpack some of the presents she left there. Floorgasm alert! Floor is a high sensitive person, so peace and quiet is as important for her. Living by the woods in Sweden with her husband Hannes Van Dahl (drummer of the band 'Sabaton'); daughter Freja (just turned 4 years last march); a horse and pony, a dog and a bunch of cats, she found this.
I love your reactions of Tool and Rammstein (amazings bands)... and now... the best symphonic-metal band of all times with the "Metal Queen"; Mrs. Floor Jansen. Greetings from Argentina!!!
A reactor enjoying my two favourite bands? And really beautiful as well! Am I dreaming? It must be a dream because reality isn't this perfect. Loved watching your reactions to this amazing band and song. You're right when you say it's a roller-coaster of sounds and emotions. Every thing just went perfectly, and you can see that in the people's hearts and faces. Stay healthy and safe. Best regards.
Hello Sky, Nightwish Army Italian Division here. Welcome in the Nightwish family. Many singers are singing what they can ....... Floor sings whatever she wants !
i was waiting for your reaction to nightwish and it was a pleasure to watch, they have many amazing songs/masterpieces storytime- song of myself- romanticide from the same concert( wacken live) and floor jansen has done many awesome songs/covers on her youtube channel , there is also a dutch tv show called (de beste zangers ) where she shows her skills
I see the Nightwish fans have given you the usual wall o' information, so I won't add much to it. I've been following them for just shy of 20 years. The first song I heard was the fantastic "Bless the Child," and I was hooked. It's been a bumpy road, but the music has been a friend and comforter to me. I was lucky enough to see them in 2012 - less than a year before this Wacken show was recorded. Anette Olzen was the singer then, but she left the band exactly one week after I saw them. It was still a wonderful show, one that lingers in my mind as a top five concert I've seen. As you've no doubt been made aware, there's a lot to Nightwish. I assure you that it's worth taking that dive, and if you have any questions along the way, the fans will always be there to give you an answer. I'm sure you've had a lot of songs suggested to you, but I'm going to add to it and likely repeat someone else's recommendation. "Ever Dream" is my favorite Nightwish song, and the version of it from this same show is gorgeous. The song is romantic, intense, and beautiful. I'll leave a link, but if you already have another song or another band in mind, no problem. "Ever Dream" will be there waiting when you're ready. ruclips.net/video/1Xi4n8dJcF8/видео.html
Enjoyed your reaction so much....look forward to seeing future Nightwish reactions....they are one of the top tier bands in the genre. I actually discovered the band while searching for bands with a similar sound to Lacuna Coil about 15 years ago. You will want to give Nightwish a lot more listens as I have yet to hear a song from them that isn't excellent. Other bands you may want to give a listen to from the genre are Within Temptation, Epica, After Forever (Floor's first band), Leaves' Eyes, Blackmore's Night, Sirenia, Theatre of Tragedy, and Visions of Atlantis just to name a few. There are several great bands in the genre from all over Europe but most are sadly almost unknown to a majority of the people in the U.S.
Thank you so much Roger!! I appreciate you so much! I look forward to discovering more Nightwish on this Nightwish journey with all of you! I love me some Lacuna Coil as well. I appreciate all of your suggestions 🧡💛💚💙🤗
@@SkyAndersonReacts No problem....this is one journey down the rabbit hole of symphonic metal and Nightwish in particular I am pretty sure you will enjoy to say the least 😀
Anything Floor does is amazing. Check out her RUclips channel. Nightwish had two other singers before her. They are both amazing as well. Floor is just next level tho.
Crazy Canadian division checking in🇨🇦🇨🇦 Sky you are absolutely stunning 😍 What a great reaction and love that you dig into the lyrics. A lot of reactors are a bit speechless after their first exposure to our Valkyrie Queen ..no shame in that... most of us i am sure were the same way the first time we heard NW ....me personally I didn't know what to do with my hands🤣 Looking forward to watching you react to more Nightwish and other great bands. New subscriber for sure🤘
@Sky Andersen: First, awesome reaction! I like how you called Ghost Love Score a "roller-coaster," because that is the theme of the Nightwish Imaginaerium Tour in 2012-2013. Here are some facts for this concert: 1) This concert took place at Wacken (pronounced vah•ken) Open Air Festival, at Wacken, Germany, in 2013. 2) At this concert, there were 82,000+ people in attendence. 3) In 2013, Nightwish headlined this four-day metal festival. 4) Floor Jansen, shown here, was not the "official" singer yet, when this concert took place. She had been asked to finish the tour, after the previous vocalist, Annette Olzon, had gotten ill, and was unable to finish the tour. Floor Jansen joined the 2012-2013 tour in October, 2012. 5) Floor Jansen, to become the lead vocalist, did something extraordinary: She learned 15 songs, including Ghost Love Score, in 48 hours -- hence the title of the tour documentary, "Please Learn the Setlist in 48 Hours" -- and this was just over a month of recovering from performance burn-out. 6) Ghost Love Score is the 13th song of 15 total for this concert -- and not once did Floor's voice show any signs of fatiguing or cracking, the entire concert. And other than mixing and amplification, Floor sang this concert with no assistance. 7) Many people, including me, consider Nightwish's Wacken 2013 concert to be the best concert ever recorded -- and Ghost Love Score is the most viewed live performance on the internet, of all time. Given all of this information, here is my Top 5 songs that I would recommend you react to, with a bonus track to top it off: 1) Dark Chest of Wonders, Wacken 2013 2) Ever Dream, Wacken 2013 3) Shoemaker, "Human :||: Nature" album (Only studio recording available) 4) Poet and the Pendulum, Wembley 2016 (Note: I recommend doing some research on this song before reacting to it) 5) Yours Is An Empty Hope, Nightwish Cruise, 2016 (Here, you find out that Floor can growl! Lol) Bonus Track: Phantom of the Opera, Beste Zangers (Dutch for "Best Singers"), 2019 (Note: This performance was the most viewed performance in 2019, in a 24-hour period -- and almost broke the internet) See you in the next one, and welcome to the Nightwish Army! 🤘🤘
@@SkyAndersonReacts : After watching your reaction again, I noticed you were asking some questions: 1) As for who was walking around on stage during Ghost Love Score, that would be Emppu, who we lovingly call the "Imp," lol, because he's mischievous and loves to play jokes. 2) In regards to whether Floor has any acapella videos, I dont think so. However, there is a video of her singing with Troy Doneckly, who is a multiple traditional instrumentalist, and they are performing an acoustic version of "How's the Heart," from the most recent Nightwish album, Human :||: Nature. Just so you know, Troy's most well-known instrument is the Uaellian pipes, the national instrument of Ireland (pronounced "ill•an", _uaellian_ is Gaelic for "elbow"). 3) Lastly, to my knowledge, Floor took one year of opera training, learning how to sing. She later forwent that training in favor of singing in a rock/metal style. However, the man that was her inspiration to start singing was Henk Poort, a Dutch opera legend, who Floor got a chance to sing with in 2019 on Beste Zangers, when she dueted with him for Phantom of the Opera. Because of her Phantom performance, after 20 years, Floor was finally recognized in the Netherlands, her home country, for her musical accomplishments. 4) I'm spacing this one out, because as far as I know, the meaning behind Ghost Love Score is the emotional roller-coaster one goes through after a relationship ends. Basically, it feels like this is many songs in one, because Tuomas, the keyboardist, wrote it that way. It is a musical story of sorts, similar to an opera, in how it tells how someone who has lost the love of their life goes through all the varying emotions. The music, in particular, constantly changes to reflect how the emotional state changes, particularly how chaotic it feels to keep living life, as one struggles to deal with and process the emotions of a break-up. This is also why the song isnt just called "Ghost Love," as Tuomas added the word "Score" onto the title, in that a music score has many parts and elements to compose the whole piece.
Nightwish Army reporting from Germany Congratulations on your first Floorgasm (the chills and jaw dropping one experiences when she hits these notes)! The concert is at the Wacken festival in 2013, a big Metal Festival in northern Germany. Fun fact, at that point, Floor wasn't even a regular member of the band, in 2012 their (former) singer had to go to hospital in the middle of their tour and couldn't perform the rest of it, so Floor was called to step in and finish the tour with them very spontaniously, she had to learn the setlist in about 48h...
The reason you never heard of this band is that the US radiostations did block mainland Europe music. We enjoy this music for 3 decades. With the pandemic and RUclips this music is conquering the US too. This is the start of a gigantic journey.
Such a lovely reaction.. and those eyes! Yeah Nightwish is a force of nature.. Heard them early 2000. Liked the band but they never really caught me until 3 years ago when I dumped into Floor. Their music span from soft ballads like "kiss while your lips are still red", "the islander" etc to trashy songs so you will always find something to your taste. GLS is one of a series of epics which lasts over 10 mins.. the others are the very dark "the poet and the pendulum" (14 min) which was made in the aftermath of the firing of their first singer Tarja. Recommend highly to check out the history behind it since it has an emotional value to the fans. Then there is "the greatest show on earth" at 20 minutes or so? There is a reason why the founder and main composer Tuomas is called "Metal Mozart".
This band has a magical ability to make live gigs unique. My favorite is their song "7 Days To The Wolves" from the Wembley concert. Their versatility is well reflected in it, as well as the joy of playing and performing in interaction with the audience ... I recommend.
I hear the boots of the Nightwish Army arriving at your channel! Welcome to the best band in the world. You obviously enjoyed hearing our Valkyrie goddess. Enjoy the ride!
Nightwish army Belgium reporting in. Welcome to our world and our Valkyrie Queen Floor Jansen. Looking forward to more reacts. Gabriël will show you the pathway into our world.
Great reaction, Nighwish Army UK division reporting in, yeah as others have said "How's The Heart" Acoustic version will meet your needs ;) keep up the great work - subbed
Hey Sky, your lucky you discovered the best band with their most versatile singer in the world Floor Jansen. Opera, rock, pop…it doesn’t matter Floor sings it. Listen also to her amazing covers. Greetings from The Netherlands
Thanks for the ❤️Sky. It goes without saying that this band are magical as I said in my earlier comment as they’ve had me absolutely captivated since I was 16 and that was 24 years ago.
@@SkyAndersonReacts Such great talent indeed. As you asked about the members I’ll try to provide a little insight. They’ve been through 3 singers: Tarja Turunen, Annette Olzon and now they have Floor Jansen. Bassist until recently is Marko Heitala Guitarist is Emmpu Vuorinen And the keyboardist is Tuomas Holopainen Drummer is Jukka Nevalainen
There are good singers, there are excellent singers but no one moves me more than Floor Jansen who made me cry so many times already and i just started to explore her and the bands songs. For a better experience of this performance, use a big screen, turn off the lights, use a good audioset and turn up the volume....it's the closest you get to this epic live performance. The next best thing.
Floor Jansen (pronounced Yansen) is a well trained Dutch singer. She's had at least 6 years of training in rock, musicals, and opera genres and yet she started singing with a Dutch Symphonic metal band when she was 16 years old. She started as a backup singer but it didn't take the band long to determine they needed her to be the lead singer if they were going to do anything in music. Her first group was After Forever. When After Forever decided to disband, Floor put together her own band called ReVamp. After a nervous breakdown, Nightwish needed a new singer because the previous singer Anette got Swine Flu in the middle of a world tour (and also ended up pregnant too) and they called Floor. Floor got on a plane the next day and had 48 hours to learn a 15 song setlist. There is a great documentary about that. After finishing the tour with Floor, they asked her to be their permanent lead singer. This concert is one of the best I've ever heard. I have the DVD. At this point (2013), Floor was 32, she's 40 now and still the lead singer.
This performance is legendary and often the one that hooks new listeners and reactors. Talk about showcasing Floor's range! Also the drummer Jukken was insanely good, all of them were super tight and on point.
this band evolution goes people who hearing this band first time 1. amazing floor. then amasing second vocalist and bassist marko, then amazing drummer jukka or new drummer kai, then amazing guitarist emppu, then amazing multi player and vocalist troy and then last whole band soul and mastermind tuomas holopainen the keyboard player. in the end when nightwish journey is completed listener say loud that tuomas is new age mozart composer wizard. band first singer tarja turunen of course is amazing story also :) thanx to great reaction and have great day there.
Since this is your first Nightwish reaction, it is my duty to give you the [updated] short history of the band concentrated by Ann Waychoff, one of the biggest Nightwish fan who has since passed away (and I am doing this in her memory):
" Nightwish was started in 1996.They are considered a Symphonic Metal band, with a female main singer.
So be prepared. lol "

The music and lyrics are written primarily by the keyboard player, Tuomas. He's commonly referred to as the "Metal Mozart". Brilliant composer!
I didn't even know that...He should be rather referred to as the "Metal Sibelius", more accordingly to his fellow countryman composer, and his style.. 🙂
@@minumero4094 Agreed!
For Floor singing solos check out the Dutch singing show "Beste Zangers". She appeared in the 2019 season together with several famous European performers. Example Shallow: ruclips.net/video/M68pe4a_9zk/видео.html

And she’s not a “girl”, she’s Floor Jansen our Goddess
To be fair, Floor looked young for being 32 years old when she was on stage at Wacken 2013. This was before motherhood. I think she still looks young for her age but now of course she is no longer a girl. Goddess of Vocals and the Stage (and humility).
@@jamescurfman3284 She's 32 here?!?!! 🤯
@@jerseybultaoreune6107 I know! She looks like maybe mid-twenties here, right? Floor was born in February 1981. This performance was filmed in August 2013. She turned 40 this year (2021) and is a mother now, but really still does not look her age.

Welcome to Nightwish! I can hear the Nightwish Army comin'. I would suggest "Storytime" next, from the same Wacken 2013 show.
Floor..is The Best Female Singer in 40 years. She's Gifted.💥
You speak for so many. :)
@@Green-Lyon Indeed!!!!!
Not quite a cappella, but Floor has covered Heart's "Alone" accompanied just by piano, and it's quite phenomenal:

Ghost Love Score is about a love that never happened (the ghost of a love). The lyricist wants this love to strip him of the scars that life has inflicted on him and return him to childlike innocence.
I Ten, the Heart version was a few years later. I.E Heart version is cover.
Stabat Mater Dolorosa from Epica with Floor are pretty accapella
If you want hear Floor little more purely with only acoustic guitar there is how's the heart acoustic version just troy and Floor... ruclips.net/video/yYtkPpFYzOo/видео.html

You'll understand that after a few more Nightwish songs.
You asked for an a capella - and everybody suggested the acoustic "How is the Heart" - completely understandable - but you must do it as a double then:
1. "How is the Heart" - from Human Nature.
2. "How is the Heart" - Planet Rock Radio.
Otherwise you will not see the real difference - and the tecnically issues in this song are significant!!
But personally I would suggest that you start with a Nightwish ballad, where Floor spellbinds 24.000 people:
Sleeping Sun, Tampere 2015. Her voice here, and how she uses classical techniques here and there, to create the experience people gets - this gives you a picture of Tuomas's writing, performed by the ultimate storyteller - Floor.

A" good vocalist "... yeah right. You mean the best female singer on the planet
She is the real deal.
She is better than all the female singers .why?

"this is a rollercoaster of sounds in one song". - welcome to nightwish :)
I love this band. First time I heard them it blew my mind. I was like...metal can be like this? Opened doors for me musically.

- Song of Myself at Wacken 2013
- Ghost River at Wacken 2013
- Ever Dream at Wacken 2013
- She's My Sin at Wacken 2013
- Dark Chest of Wonders at Wacken 2013
- I Want My Tears Back at Wacken 2013
- Last Ride of the Day at Wacken 2013
- Poet and the Pendulum at Wembley 2016 (Do some research about this song first please)
- The Greatest Show on Earth at Tampere 2015 (this one.. hold back for as long as you can.. kind of a masterpiece..)
When you did all the above it is really time you should check out the (2 hour) documentary "Please learn the set list in 48 hours".

This is true!!
Love your reaction. Maybe try another song from this live concert like NIGHTWISH - Storytime (OFFICIAL LIVE VIDEO)
Yep. No autotune here.
Needless to say she was invited to join on a permanent basis and is still there
@WickedGit because she is a goddess
Its a pretty typical to be lost for words after seeing this video. You have just listened to the finest female singer of our time and maybe of all time . Remember the moment you heard of her singing with Nightwish. Your life is most probably never going to be the same. Listen to Gabriel. He is the one who knows.
What a brilliant reaction Sky. Love it. Welcome to the NW Army. Thank you. Best wishes
It's amazing isn't it? How crazy it is to see and hear a band be so tight and talented and to have that Godess on the vocals...and to be this amazing live🔥🔥
I think I hear marching... Yup, the Nightwish army is on the way.
Thank you Darren!!
How diverse they are, wait till she meets Troy!
Nightwish Army here. Your reaction was detected on my radar. Look forward to following you on your journey as you discover this awesome band...
Thank you Mark 💜 💙 💚
Welcome to Nightwish! I can't wait to see you react to more Nightwish/Floor
How's the heart accoustic planet rock session would be a good one for you to check out. Not Acapella but very stripped down and just two vocals (her with Troy backing her) and an accoustic guitar
Welcome to the greatest band on the planet! Great video Sky, you have a new subscriber 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Thank you so much!! I appreciate you sticking around 💜💙💚💛🧡❤
Nightwish Shadow Unit from Estonia reporting in !
Valkyrie Queen spotted !
Gabriel Bardac entered !
Nightwish Army is here !!!
Excellent reaction Sky Anderson 🤘😎🤘
Floor Jansen is a soprano, with a range of more than three octaves D3 to F6
she has a range beyond belief, she's also a voice coach and teacher to boot. Floor her name is derived from the Roman Goddess of Spring, Flora.
Floor Jansen is called the Valkyrie Goddess of Metal and Empathy!!!
Take Gabriel's list as a guide to your journey...
We hope, that there will be more Nightwish
Hello from middle America!! I appreciate you checking out my video! There will be most definitely more NW.
Omg.... OK, I'm gonna start off by saying this.... You have probably the most hypnotic and sweetest voice I have ever heard in my life.... Wow... That out of the way, absolutely loving the background lighting 😍
Aww thank you Ricky!! I'm working on a second channel asmr type reading and talking. I happy you like the vibe!!
Great reaction. You just discovered one of my favorite bands with one of my favorite singers. Gabriel explained everything about Nightwish. Hope you will react on more songs of them. Thank you for this reaction. Subscribed.
Thank you so much 💙 💚 Yes for sure more NW!!
Floor Jansen is a classically trained and a professional voice coach with at least 20 years experience, awesome the Queen of metal,❤️Floor Jansen can do anything from death metal growling to high opera notes, awesome thanks 😀
You’re just scratching the surface. I can’t wait for your other Nightwish reactions. They will amaze you in ways you can’t imagine.
Welcome to the rabbit hole (:
There’s a lot to this band.
Thank you so much!! I appreciate you ❤🧡💚💙💜. Yes love me some Lacuna Coil as well!!
I always like watching people react to Nightwish for the first time... especially when they hear Floor sing for the first time as well.
It is definitely an emotion listening to her and the band!!
8:23 - to answer you question: this is live at wacken, a small town in germany with 2000 citizens. the metal festival itself is called simply "Wacken Open Air" and takes place yearly since 1990 - except last year and this year, you can probably guess why... it started very small and now draws in about 80000 people from all over the world every year.. which is insane when you think about a place with 2000 people getting swarmed by 80k metal fans :)
so this whole think wasn't a nightwish concert, but a metal festival with multiple bands performing each year
Sky welcome to the Nightwish Army ...
I was here seeing reactions of metal music and 80s music in general. And now im possesed by how relaxing your voice is.
Aww thank you 💜💙💚💛 I can't wait to go down this rabbit hole!! I appreciate you!

Crazy Canadian division checking in🇨🇦🇨🇦 Sky you are absolutely stunning 😍
What a great reaction and love that you dig into the lyrics.
Thank you so much beet beet! I appreciate your sweet and kind words ❤ ♥ and thank you for sticking around 😊 ❤
I think I've found my new favourite reactor, I loved your reaction and your comments, great job
Thank you so much 💙 💚 💓
Yeah, Nightwish on Wacken Open Air 2013 was one amazing show. The stars aligned that night and magic happened. It’s up there with Queen on Live Aid.
@Sky Andersen:
First, awesome reaction! I like how you called Ghost Love Score a "roller-coaster," because that is the theme of the Nightwish Imaginaerium Tour in 2012-2013.
Here are some facts for this concert:
1) This concert took place at Wacken (pronounced vah•ken) Open Air Festival, at Wacken, Germany, in 2013.
Given all of this information, here is my Top 5 songs that I would recommend you react to, with a bonus track to top it off:
1) Dark Chest of Wonders, Wacken 2013
2) Ever Dream, Wacken 2013
3) Shoemaker, "Human :||: Nature" album (Only studio recording available)
4) Poet and the Pendulum, Wembley 2016 (Note: I recommend doing some research on this song before reacting to it)
5) Yours Is An Empty Hope, Nightwish Cruise, 2016 (Here, you find out that Floor can growl! Lol)
Bonus Track: Phantom of the Opera, Beste Zangers (Dutch for "Best Singers"), 2019 (Note: This performance was the most viewed performance in 2019, in a 24-hour period -- and almost broke the internet)
See you in the next one, and welcome to the Nightwish Army! 🤘🤘
Thank you so much for this info!! I appreciate your sweet words ❤ ♥
@@SkyAndersonReacts : After watching your reaction again, I noticed you were asking some questions:
1) As for who was walking around on stage during Ghost Love Score, that would be Emppu, who we lovingly call the "Imp," lol, because he's mischievous and loves to play jokes.
Great reaction! Welcome to the Nightwish Army. =)
Thank you John 💜 💙 💚 😊
Nightwish Army reporting from Germany
Congratulations on your first Floorgasm (the chills and jaw dropping one experiences when she hits these notes)!
This band are truly magical and they have a very large back catalogue which you should absolutely check out 💜🤘
Such a lovely reaction..
and those eyes!
Thank you Guy!!!! I feel so welcomed 😌 ☺ 🤗

Hey Sky, your lucky you discovered the best band with their most versatile singer in the world Floor Jansen. Opera, rock, pop…it doesn’t matter Floor sings it. Listen also to her amazing covers. Greetings from The Netherlands
Hi Piet!! Hello from middle America and I appreciate your sweet words ❤
Thanks for the ❤️Sky. It goes without saying that this band are magical as I said in my earlier comment as they’ve had me absolutely captivated since I was 16 and that was 24 years ago.
I can see how! Such great talent 👏 🙌 ❤
@@SkyAndersonReacts Such great talent indeed. As you asked about the members I’ll try to provide a little insight.
They’ve been through 3 singers: Tarja Turunen, Annette Olzon and now they have Floor Jansen.
Bassist until recently is Marko Heitala
Guitarist is Emmpu Vuorinen
And the keyboardist is Tuomas Holopainen
Drummer is Jukka Nevalainen

Floor is the greatest singer on the planet period . Nightwish is on a whole another level when it comes to live performance .
Welcome to the Nighwish army ❤️ Floor is our Goddess❤️😌😌
I'm in love in with FLOOR and yes she is most definitely a GODDESSES ❤💜💙
