a tip I noticed for mechs that you probably go over in this vidio but i haven't watched it all the way is that I recommend making the servo's strength a lot lower like 20 or 40 or so to make it move organically like its actual walking instead of it vary robotically moving to the positions it also makes it so when your hit or flung it actually looks like your getting hit instead of just moving backward
(also a lot of my mechs use the base functionality's and design priceable of another trailmakers youtuber who decades his channel for just mechs and mech tutorials called : mecher (i think ) )
THATS WHAT I WAS FORGETTING. optimizing the kinematics of a mech goes much deeper than just servo strength. it can greatly affect speed and efficiency, just a couple small tweaks practically doubled the TOME's top speed.
@@ThisIsDumbAllTheNamesAreTaken ooo well it wold be cool to see those enhancements since i took the walking mechanics and animation of your tome and make a exosuit called the aphid (olmost like a spacesuit esk thing with a large backpack with a rocket and 4 lazers
Huh idk if what i made is exactly efficient but when mine walks forwardeds it for some reasion feels like its like im using a jet engine and skies, it only uses legs to walk and fition pads this is my first mech so idk if its a good thing
@@ThisIsDumbAllTheNamesAreTaken It matters what you're talking about, and sometimes I'll realize that what I'm hearing is way too complicated for me, but this is the best you can do without spending years perfecting each video
The way i increase survivability with logic systems is really quite simple, i du0licate it and just crosswire them with eachother. It deff8netly works better for smaller circits, however its proven to be effective with larger ones. You just need to be mindful of how much analog controol uou have and where, sometimes youll need to add extra components to course correct thr redundancy.
I really like your videos and it would be cool to have a discord server. also it would be nice if you could record your audio with another microphone like a pair of earbuds or your phone
a lot of this logic seems fixable with like 5 less logic gates, to make the legs go more forwards than backwards u can just up the speed on the servo,up the angle and then turn the output on the backwards gate down, for the strafing its 4 logic gates, walking its 6 and arms should be 6, idk but the logic looks way over complicated. youre still really cool n ill follow cause ur mechs seem really cool
im not sure what you mean because aside from the outdated mech core, that is what most of my systems use. i just remade the core to have 10 logic gates for forwards and backwards and strafe.
For your next project, could you do an advanced reticle system like in real fighter jets where it shows you with a moving reticle where your bullets will hit, ive been trying to do this for a while but im just unable and i think you might be able to because you have a lot of knowledge on the game.

(oh btw i dont realy do a lot of pvp or stuff like that so a lot of my stuff is for looks and cool effects along with it feeling fun to play)

its really amazing just how a worse audio quality drops the amount of views by an order of magnitude.
Whenever John uploads, I always immediately switch whatever I was working on to what John is making.
Agreed
question: is any of my ranting comprehensible?
@@ThisIsDumbAllTheNamesAreTaken eh depends realy its conserhensable a lot of the time
@@planecrazyiscrazy good enough then

i recently got into building mechs and this is really cool

That's how I do my RCS logic. This concept is widely applicable great vid. Also that gyro tip was awesome 👍

yep, i decided not to cover this because i knew i would enter a 20 hour rant about survivability.

dont got another mic. infact, my current mic is not that bad. its just that i play on a laptop so thats the sound of the fan.
Yo does anyone know hoe to sort out stuff like that one console like have different blueprint folders

that's actually a very interesting idea. i might actually have an idea.
