Man. T7 Looks great. But I'm more impressed with how well T6 Holds up. I'd love to see a Comparison of TTT2 to T7. I love the overall look of the whole series.
Better texture work on T7 and the fur for the bears are better than ever. However, the missing shadows and some minor details missing here and there are kind of noticeable. Sure there are some reflections that are a little more refined in T7 but I think T6 got it down rather well. It's no wonder why some people prefer older builds of T7 and some may go as far to say Tag 2 was aesthetically and graphically the best (ignoring the sub-720p resolutions for both T6 and Tag 2), and that game was a step up from T6
The lighting is way more in T7. In T6, just look at how the lighting to from the top down. In T7, it looks like each character has 3 point lighting attached to them. It's a trick game devs use when lighting is an issue for a game.
Look closely then you notice that Julia's and Anna's feet are glitching in Tekken 7 but Julia and some other girls actually improved in Tekken 7. Julia looks very nice with her freckles but Tekken 6 has nicer looking graphics
I noticed that leg glitch with all the thicker/curvier girls in tekken 7 (Zafina, Anna, Julia and Eliza). They clearly share the exact same body type there which is why the glitch happens to them only.

It's a shame so many players were introduced to the series through Tekken 7. Graphically it does not do the characters justice at all. Then i would allow them to look plastic ish, but then SFV made everyone look so ugly , like clay XD poor vega and ken had it bad ;o; lol
Tekken 7 has some better effects like lightning and also some details in stances (finger movement) but models look better in previous games (Anna, Zafina, Ganryu and Julia looks better in 7). Also proportions went in the wrong way in T7, like Marduk has giantic upper body and tiny legs, looks like Quest from World of Quest. All male characters are more meaty and muscular and I think they need to tone down that in the next game. There are good aspects to both games' designs it just depends on what your looking for.
I HATE how they babified the girl faces. It's really apparent how afraid Harada is of a slightly older woman
It's not afraid, more like don't want to
Ikrrrrrrrr I hope they’re learning from their mistakes in T8
@@Kazama_T In my opinion Tekken Tag Tournament 2 had the best models I hope they bring them back with upgrades
@@peko-chan1764 agreed
@@peko-chan1764 Yes! Let the characters age up ffs. Is there a reason Tekkens 4 to 7 all had to take place in the same year, other than to just keep some characters from graduating high school and moving on with their lives already?
Another thing, but...what did they do to Lei in Tekken 7, apart from having removed that cool body gesture that he did in Tekken 6 and no longer in Tekken 7 13:52 , and to top it off it appears as DLC, that appearance in 7, can't be he looks like a beggar
Tekken Tag 2 Lei Looked more similar to Tekken 6 Lei than his Tekken 7 Version
It's so weird seeing how T7 probably looked so good until the exact moment T8 was announced. Then it looked 2 generations older
This is probably the most HD footage of T6 I've seen. Also did you use some camera tool to zoom in in the T6 characters?
Hi Walter, the cameras were hacked to be able to record in front of the characters :)
Even Kazuya looked old in Tekken 6
Asuka had a horrible downgrade omg. I really loved how she looked in Tekken 6.
People make fun of T7 models but honestly they look much more accurate to the Artworks and especially Tekken 5 art. Love.
First thing I noticed was the whitewashing lol, and I'm not talking about her fit either.
@@notisac3149 Julia has always been quite fair.
@@ghost_emre_a7710 Is that so? Gosh I was mostly looking at her depiction in Tekken 6, but I guess you’re right, that’s on me lol.
I'll never forget how they fuc*** up Asuka's face in Tekken 7, total disaster. Don't even mentioned other chars.
Now compare it to Tag 2 and you'll see that when it comes to character model Tekken 7 falls short
Nice! Excellent vid! 7 definitely has the softer lighting, but stylistic I kind of preferred 6. Face wise, everyone in 6 looked a bit grittier and in 7 they got all glammed up. Perhaps it was the harsher lighting? How about TT2 comparison?
Coming soon, it's the next video I'll upload :)
@@YOYODODO My mans putting in the work! 👍
the difference is we got all the characters for free on tekken 6 - but need to pay for dlc only for mostly classic character on tekken 7
Because classic characters aren't use often
@@shenelljohnson74 hm why dont just make them unlockable like the old school tekken? I mean its sound stupid to unlock Lei as him always be the default fighter selection tho
@@Gigzause your thinking about casual fan's back in the day but pro, veterans, and hardcore player's in general don't find that amusing anymore it was good when your at home but now stuff like Tekken force, boss battle, team battle, survival isn't play like that what I'm trying to say is what's the point adding this character or mode in if nobody else uses it why waste your time on content that nobody or few or asking for it they just want to play not grind and waste time on unlocking thing's when YOU the fan demands it now because you spend your hard earn money for a product to enjoy
@@shenelljohnson74 do you speak for everyone
@@shenelljohnson74 also simple. Because they were fun. They were video games. Nowadays they're just services. Games lost their charm and passion
Everyone in T6 looks like they spent too much time tanning. Everyone in T7 looks like they’ve never even seen the sun
Tekken 6 Heihachi looks more scarier than Tekken7
I told myself I wasn't gonna watch all 20 minutes of this, but then Jungle outpost 2 started playing on a loop. 🤣 this track is too damn good
yoshimitsu outfit in tekken 3 is the best 😁
Yeah, still the best.
Lee, Miguel, and Zafina look amazing in Tekken 7! T6 has the better customization but T7 definitely has better facial models in my opinion
Lee had an amazing glow up in Tekken 7 fr!
Not in all characters
Can you also do Tekken 4 and 5? I think that despite the graphics, either between them has the best looking faces in the series. :)
Tekken 5 has the best models, obviously.
bryan went from looking like an absolute menace to looking like a fortnite skin
Original look of each character = tekken 6
It's like tekken 3 but with better GRAPHIC
Is it just me or the lighting in Tekken 6 looked really nice? I prefer it over Tekken 7
I noticed how Kazuya and Law have the same face in Tekken 7
Weird
Girl faces beauty improved a lot.
A bit too much I’d say
@@gentleman_tk Didn't you like it?
@@godmode3611 It looks great honestly very beautiful, to the point where it looks unreal and inhuman because it’s so perfect.
@@gentleman_tk That is a great way to put it.
Ermmm. You need glasses
That moment when you realize that Jin still has both his Tekken 6 1P & 2P costumes in Tekken 7. Paul, Lili, Leo, Bryan Hwoarang and Steve do too.
Edit: Tekken 6 looked better.
and yet people wonder why hworang hair is black, that's because it's his natural hair color, koreans chinese japanese they all have black hair, hworang just dyed his hair orange since the old tekken and we didn't know it because we were young.
Tekken 6 had the far superior design. Better shading and lighting, better textures. Tekken 6 FTW
Also, Devil Jin looked scarier in TK6.
All of the Mishimas looked scarier in T6! Kazuya's looks older and his eye is glowing more as well. Lol!
17:51 oh my god I never know murdock look terrifying from this angle in tekken 6
I remember thinking tekken 6 looked alot better. I think this shows that right here.
Tekken 6 has better skin textures and hair to my surprise in comparison of Tekken 7
It's a shame so many players were introduced to the series through Tekken 7. Graphically it does not do the characters justice at all. As good as Tekken 8 looks, it still doesn't match the accuracy some of the Tekken 6 models had to their official renders. Heihachi, Kazuya, Lili, Law, Alisa, Julia and a few others all look the way they were exactly intended to look in that game.
EXACTLY!! they look exactly like them i can't explain
Tekken 8 is the Only Console Tekken with No Chang!
T6 models looked better, don't @ me. Well...tbh I think Tag 2 models look the best.
Nah tekken 7 and tag 2 looks better for some reason in 6 they look like they have more fat in theyr face and lee looks creepy as hell
thats what im saying! they looked natural and human! making them individual and unique! now they're all barbiefied and plastic looking with "perfect" faces. like they're fighters not models. unless their back story lore consists of them being narcissistic like vega who values his face and beauty more than anyone else lol. Then i would allow them to look plastic ish, but then SFV made everyone look so ugly , like clay XD poor vega and ken had it bad ;o; lol
The comparison would be better if done with Tekken Tag 2 wich is way more beautiful than 6 and 7
Tekken 7 has some better effects like lightning and also some details in stances (finger movement) but models look better in previous games (Anna, Zafina, Ganryu and Julia looks better in 7). Also proportions went in the wrong way in T7, like Marduk has giantic upper body and tiny legs, looks like Quest from World of Quest. All male characters are more meaty and muscular and I think they need to tone down that in the next game. A lot of female characters have doll-like faces and 0 muscules, this also needs to be changed in the next game. Good video btw.
Taken 6 is the best 👌 ❤
Tekken 6 looks much much better
Tekken 7 Julia out here looking like a professional gamer girl in her first outfit 🤣
Lili looks horrendous in Tekken 7. I love her glow up in Tekken 8. In fact everyone gets a nice glow-up in Tekken 8. Tekken 7 may have improved the models, but the fact is their inexperience shows on how terrible the lighting and graphics are in T7 compared to 6 and Tekken Tag 2
What i love in tekken 6 is ko replay with slowmo and particle
Asuka in Tekken 6 looks very beautiful and is the most beautiful character in the game for me to be honest, it feels like a mixture of European and Asian race, it does not look like Japanese at all
Steve matching and vibing with the music tho ❤️
Some looked better in T6 and some did in T7.
I think in T6 they wanted to age the Williams sisters to make them look like in their 40s and it worked. They looked mature, now they look young again😒
Asuka looks way better in 6.. she had more distinctive features and now they just want her to look more cute in 7 and 8.. it doesn’t match her.
She looks gorgeous in 8 what are you smokin 😂
I think Jin is too cool 🤘
Armor King and Marduk, best re-design hands down
6: looks like a normal CG model for a video game.
7: looks more realistic, makes it uncanny.
Realistic where they all the males look like mario and the females look like princess peach lmao as if that's the nintendo engine
@@Monstert_ I don't really know the word, so I just use "realistic".
It's like modern movie CGI. Yes they look good and detailed, but they don't blend with the surroundings. Like Legendary's godzilla CG.
