Thank you sir for taking the time to teach everyone the real estate book material verbally and with your own experience. I have great difficulty getting myself to sit down and read 600+ pages whilst being able to retain the information due to ADHD symptoms. You capture my attention with your personality and teaching methods/examples.

May I correct you on one point Community property originally comes from the Goths (Germanic wild tribes) where the German women rode with the male warriors and thus were entitled to 1/2 the spoils. That spread to the Vis-a-goths up through Spain and Europe to Mexico and then US . There is however little evidence that the southern tribes the females rode fought and died in battle like the Germanic tribes. Eugene Ellis Esq. JD.LL.B.

Great teaching but you should know that California was actually held by Mexico when the US took it over, not Spain. The Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo was with Mexico. They only held it for about 25 years though. Before that it was Spain.

Kartik, I started the class in 2014 when you were at KW in Irvine. I was dumb and didn’t follow through but I kept my books and am now watching all the videos. I’m doing it for good this time but I’m sure things changed in the text book. How can I get new/updated books or can I still use the ones I have?

I love your Videos but I have to correct you on how CA became part of the US. In 1948 after the US -Mexico war it was “bought” by US from Mexico and not by Spain.

Common Law is in the bible. How one determines property boundaries today by using monuments is found in ii from 600 BC. English Common Law was first Biblical common law used by the first Anglo Saxon Christians in England. The laws are dynamic, for example: Mormons who had no civil law used common law and expanded water rights in it to accommodate modern irrigation now used across the world. It is common law that is best for wealth creation and wealth is not a fixed pie as some believe, meaning it grow's, through proper investments by first protecting property rights.
