The "clean" products I own were bought because I liked the product rather than them being "clean". In fact, I find that they go rancid pretty quickly, due to them not having preservatives, which is a pain in the neck 🤪 I would love to see government guidelines as to what a clean product has to be. As it is atm, anyone can slap a label onto a product saying "clean" and it can be advertised as such. I think more clarification is needed in this area. All that said, I'm so happy that, at last, we in the UK can buy Merit Beauty products. This is great because there's so many of their products I want to try. I have really wanted that kosas powder for along time but I'm so picky with powder cause I don't want to be dry cakey or matte I haven't bought it yet, but I think I'm just gonna get it I put it in my cart along with the Julie concealer and this time the same shade as u have cause I keep ending up with these expensive concealers that are way to light for example the Givenachy I was gonna get the Dior forever but I again don't know what shade to pick..lol
I like many of the Merit products you mentioned. I have not tried the lip gelee. I do like VB eyeliner, eyeshadow & bronzer. I think you did a great job with the smoky eye look! 😊❤️

I’m on my 2nd bottle of the Merit great skin. I use it as a Serrum, and I put my moisturizer over top and then my sunscreen then my foundation. I was very disappointed with the company however I did not receive the bag I was supposed to receive. But it is a great product I love it! I’m sorry you broke yours that stinks. I can’t be without it.
Oh, you can reach out to the company and ask for a bag! You get it only on your first order from their website, so if you haven’t received it I would contact them!!

I love clean vegan cruelty-free makeup. I switched all my products from skincare to makeup products & just love some of the brands that offer that for customers like us. 2023 is the year that I said I'm Done with other brands & just have to switch to cleaner beauty and it's been amazing.

I’ve repurchased several of the Kosas powder. It’s the best I’ve ever tried. However every single time somehow the packaging breaks. Even without me dropping it or anything 😮 oh well I love the powder so much I just deal with it.

Yeah, I don’t dwell too much on clean beauty because of the “clean beauty” standard. It’s not defined well and just because a product has less preservative, it doesn’t make it good foe your skin. However I’ve had lots of requests to do more clean beauty videos.
I wish I knew how cheap and flimsy the Merit flush balm pots were before I bought them… the blushes are buildable and not sticky but for the price wtf!!! It’s the cheapest plastic known to man and they’re more expensive than the lipsticks which are lovely Such a shame
I love clean beauty !! Careful tho with v beauty they do a lot of greenwashing or « cleanwashing ». In their palet, the eye shadow have plastic in their 1st to 3rd ingredient, same for highlighter, eyekajal etc… 😢 I hate how they call it clean but it’s really for the image. They use the fast that there is no law surrounding the term « clean » . But Products are not clean :< westman atelier tho is 100% clean as far as I know. I ne such lovely products ❤🎉
I think when it comes to clean beauty the standards are not well defined. I personally don’t put a lot of accent on the “clean beauty” products because most of them still have ingredients that are not clean or good for you skin.
I'll stick with my un-clean makeup thank you. The whole "clean" makeup is truly nothing more than a selling technique from the cosmetic industry. My 2 favorite videos on this subject are from Angie Hot and Flashy and Jen Phelps. They go very in depth in how misleading the whole "clean" beauty is. Sorry Tania......it is nothing against you as you know I adore your videos. If the product works for someone and they love it then buy it, but buy it because you love it not because it's clean.
I don’t blame you Melissa. I personally don’t care too much about clean beauty because of the same reasons as you. However a lot of people seem to want to see more videos on some clean beauty products that I like.

I tried them and the Merit glosses have more of the gelee texture to them than the Rare Beauty ones!

I have the Light bronze and it is a bit more.. yellow on me. The color isn’t the best for my skintone!

The Rephr has the slightest stippling placement of the bristles. The Merit is flat. Both amazing brushes!

They just use cleaner, healthier products, they don’t have certain ingredients in their products that can be harsh on the skin
