Beautiful job. I have just done the Tamiya 1/35 scale which I will post soon. I also have the Academy 1/72 and have noted the trouble you had with sink holes and fit issues. I do like the colour scheme.
I've got the Italeri A-10 A/C Gulf War 25th Anniversary version of this kit and my kit dosen't have any of the problems with the ordinance that you had and the fit looks okay as well.
'James White'...I Just saw this on my YT feed, and impressed on how you took a P.O.S. kit ( I kinda worried about some Other "Academy" kits I have in my stash ), and made it look Super!!! Good Work and Patience in putting this SUPERIOR A-C together AND The Paint Sceme...WOW!! I was looking at purchasing putty for painting camo on planes/tanks ..... SO Question..... did you "press" the putty down, or just lay it down, I see some more "faded areas" getting a Lot of feathering (~2:44 on underside of a-c), but the weathering of the entire a-c and placement of MUCH Improved weaps conceals it very well! Thanks for posting!!
@Hey_MikeZeroEcho22P thank you for your kind comments! That poster putty does very well when I gently place it it where I want the patterns to go. Gravity takes care of the rest. It makes for just the right amount of feathering if I don't try to spray under the roll and let the putty template do its work by spraying straight down on it. Some of the feathering you saw is likely from freehand painting, which I did in some spots, but I'm not very good at it.
@@jameswhite6388 I wouldn't say that, "...but I'm not very good at it." As I read everybody's comments...." I " Think you are!! I just noticed it as either intentional or accidental, but Thanks for the tip on how to handle the putty and airbrush!! Have a Good Day!!!
Thank you! I'm afraid I don't have any current links to decals, since I found them all on eBay. The sheets I found there were all several years old. Hopefully, some of them are still available. The Warthog ones were made by SuperScale. The Maverick decals were Scale-Master brand. Good luck in your search!

Just building this kit now. Only messy bit is around the bottom of the nose. Not terrible but requires some attention. Good luck.
That is super cool! Apparently, some made it out of the factory molds without defects. How did yours turn out?
@@jameswhite6388 haven't built the kit yet, it's the last model I'm building about the 1st Gulf War

Love this video, thank you so much for posting.
Can you give a link where you picked up your decals?
