Something I want to point out, regardless of plot relevance, is the remarkable similarity this has to one of Noelle's stories from the Sweepstakes. Supposedly, if you sequence-broke to get to the ice palace in Dragon Blazers without a certain party member, you'd be stuck in a maze forever. However, Noelle somehow has the ability to find a mysterious grey door in the maze if she gets into the right state of mind. This, too, is an endless maze that the player accessed by sequence breaking, and the player was able to find a strange door leading them to probably Gaster with Noelle in the party.
I do love little touches to make this fan made project seem genuine. Like “it’s a water fountain for tall people” is absolutely in line with Toby Fox’s humor

Strange that the water fountain always displays lukewarm, because in the original game it would go from lukewarm to refreshingly cool, which could imply time is frozen or something
The idea of using the hidden threat variable as a replacement for the Fun values is very interesting, and something i could see be used in the actual game. It at least makes it easy for the player to change their value without having to do file manipulation

@@KiraJ-ru7ll what worked for me was looking at a key of all caps wingdings, writing out the full alphabet (or a slightly modified version to make it easier to write/draw quickly on paper) a few time, then practicing writing out messages-first with a key then from memory. it's also helpful if you have some unfamiliar text in wingdings you can practice translating-like this video-but that's a bit more difficult to do/find. genuinely it took me like an hour one evening to learn the caps wingdings. that's kinda all you need. if you want reading them to not take forever, then you probably need to practice using/recalling them more than that-but truly it's not that bad to learn!

Why do they even think of the threat value? They walked through the maze school with such confidence, like they knew where to go. They seem to be frustrated/confused at a couple dead ends. I'd love to know where winds got this info.
amazing idea. the entire concept of the school being the breeding ground for “threat” or “fun” events in general is very plausible. the darkness has obviously already begun to infect the school, and the computer lab of the library, mostly thus far getting to the students, so the school would be a very possible place for events like these to occur. i think too that due to us having little knowledge on the true nature of the darkness in deltarune, it makes things more interesting to theorize and create content for. this is really interesting, keep it up 😮

@@KiraJ-ru7ll what worked for me was looking at a key of all caps wingdings, writing out the full alphabet (or a slightly modified version to make it easier to write/draw quickly on paper) a few time, then practicing writing out messages-first with a key then from memory. it's also helpful if you have some unfamiliar text in wingdings you can practice translating-like this video-but that's a bit more difficult to do/find. genuinely it took me like an hour one evening to learn the caps wingdings. that's kinda all you need. if you want reading them to not take forever, then you probably need to practice using/recalling them more than that-but truly it's not that bad to learn!
@@RobSub215 since it's been two weeks i'd assume you probably found what it said by now, but just in case, if you check the top comments people have transcribed the translations there! being that i can read wingdings (wow what a ridiculous thing to say lol) i was reading the ones in the video in real time when i watched it weeks ago, and so don't have any transcription of what it said and i'd rather not just copy and paste their work so hopefully you can find those comments pretty easily if you haven't already :)

okay so very clearly there's something odd about the number of interactions on the corkboard, water fountain, and locked closet door in the second session, the water fountain especially. Ain't nobody need to know 6 times that the water is lukewarm.

amazing idea. the entire concept of the school being the breeding ground for “threat” or “fun” events in general is very plausible. the darkness has obviously already begun to infect the school, and the computer lab of the library, mostly thus far getting to the students, so the school would be a very possible place for events like these to occur. i think too that due to us having little knowledge on the true nature of the darkness in deltarune, it makes things more interesting to theorize and create content for. this is really interesting, keep it up 😮
