    I agree...you get to a point in your inventory where you're willing to pay up for certain pieces but you have to set a floor of $20+ profit. I find I'm picking up fewer items but ones I know will bring greater ROI.

    Hi! I am new to the reseller community and am learning so much. Love your videos. I am wondering if it's possible for you to do a step by step how to depop video. There are quite a few out there however, I need an adult🤣. For me personally, I'm finding it difficult to understand the younger kiddos videos; they are a bit here and there hashtags and photo shoots🙃. Any recommendations. Thank you

    eBay lets you reference a second brand in the description but not the title. Recently I listed Cole Haan with Nike technology so it was accurate and they said I could not mention Nike in the title but only in the description. When I sell a tweed boxy jacket I use "Chanel style" as a keyword in descriptions because that is the iconic suit, but that is the only time I used a brand to reference a style.

    I often pay up for clothing, shoes, and bags and I push the market when I know it's unique and it's value, even when other resellers don't. That Michael Kors bikini is top of the line - he has different tiers. Blake Lively used to model and wear top of the line Michael Kors - suits that cost thousands of dollars. I reallze this video is older now. But when you can't find comps for something it can mean that it's super rare and thus worth a lot! Totally worth pricing this at $200+ and giving it time for the right buyer or making offers to likers. I would actually price that at $300 and see. You have a few things working there - the buckles are always a hot style on anything. And the cuts of swimsuits today are frustrating a lot of women 35+ who remember how swimsuits used to fit. I personally am shopping used jeanshorts because I can't handle the constant high rise - it's just so uncomfortable!
    I just sold 4 vintage top of the line used Ralph Lauren belts for $350+ each. I paid about $70 for each. If you know your brands, you can price higher and wait for the right buyers. Those belts were posted for about 3-4 months. Best regards!

    Not only did you hit a homerun, you hit it out of the park. It speaks volumes to how style driven some sales can be, it was a beautiful piece and your eye knew it! Woohoo! Also, I have a pair of NB I haven’t been wearing I think you’ve inspired me to post. Lastly, I just bought a NWT Patagonia swimsuit for 19.99, hoping to post for $75?!?!

    Royal Robbins is more of a mens/womens hiking brand, I will buy it for $1 or $2 if it has a funkier pattern. I grabbed a unique color combo flannel last week for a friend that was $1.

    2 thank yous going out to you… 🤗 I really appreciate you posting your Southwest Florida thrift so I have some idea where to go in July… That closet mentor seems interesting for purchases for myself though lol… And also the use of or not use of “like style” in your description post I had considered that the other day but changed my mind and I’m glad I didn’t do it I don’t want to dupe any potential customers 👍🏼

  • @KristiWilson
    @KristiWilson 2 года назад +1

    eBay keyword spamming used to get your listings taken down. You couldn’t use “like” or “style”.
    I assume that’s still the case. I have held by not keyword spamming for 24 years on eBay. I know that to me, as a buyer, it is extremely frustrating to me to get tons of hits on false items. And I purposefully do not buy from those sellers.
    I will note that I see quite a few you tube resellers spam their titles and do so openly.
    It reminds me of a bait and switch. Keyword spam to get you into the listing and then you find out it’s not after a click through.

  • @brianjohnson3333
    @brianjohnson3333 2 года назад +1

    If I list an item and I get multiple solid offers within mins/hours the market is telling me to raise the price, after raising the price if I proceed to get similar offers the price goes up again etc.. If you have extremely rare/unique items that have no comps or current listings or don't even pop up in a google search then you are the ONLY MARKET for that item. As a reseller one of your fundamental goals should be to make more profit off your item than whoever buys it from you.

    I tried the short titles for one week (I went through all 450 items in my closet and shortened them) and I had my worst sales week in 2 years. Needless to say I went back through and changed all my titles back to the long titles. UGH!

    I wanted that Gunne Sax style dress when you showed it in your haul and had been checking your Poshmark for when it was listed. And I really don’t like Gunne Sax prairie style dresses. I think you priced it right. Not sure how much more someone would have paid for a Gunne Sax style dress. There may have been a lot of people like me stalking and waiting for it to be listed, but they were just better at it than me.

So if you have time please write me back and we can go from there. I've been looking at comps for the past hour and no luck. I would be willing to pay you a few bucks if I helps. Cheers..
