Actually Dragon Ball Z, One Piece, Bleach, and Naruto Shippuden are better than HxH in my opinion. I enjoy any anime that has these 3 things: 1) Great fight scenes with amazing quality animations 2) Great written characters that you can relate to 3) Amazing plot. And One Piece, Dragon Ball Z, Bleach, Naruto Shippuden, Jujutsu Kaisen, and Bleach 1 Thousand Year Blood War falls under those 3 requirements for me in my opinion, but that's just me. 🤷♂️😅

I started AoT as my first anime. Honestly, what you said about it is pretty valid, but even most old anime fans can't stand it because they can't understand complex plot.
Whenever someone new to anime asks me to recommend them a show, I always say the same thing, Cowboy Bebop, Aside from being my favorite anime of all time, it's simple to understand, has a good story with deep but simple lore, funny characters, good action and music sequences, a dog, and is a decent size being only 26 episodes long, plus a movie
I usually recommend Death Note. Given the show's moderate length and its crime mystery style, I think it's a great way to get people to cross that barrier using something familiar.

I am literally watching Naruto with my little sister rn as her first anime. She loves it so I think that it just depends on who you are with and what they like.
We all watched them as kids so we really didn't care. Seriously if I watch DB now I just can't stand it. It so fucking boring. The plot is like a perpetual machine.

Not quite, we are almost there, it has been a very slow watchthrough as I have been very busy. Naruto just used the wind style Rasenshuriken for the first time so that’s about where we are along.
Berserk is an awesome starter anime. It's not to violent and is a great influence for children. Must be the best starter anime.

I started AoT as my first anime. Honestly, what you said about it is pretty valid, but even most old anime fans can't stand it because they can't understand complex plot.
Whenever someone new to anime asks me to recommend them a show, I always say the same thing, Cowboy Bebop,
Aside from being my favorite anime of all time, it's simple to understand, has a good story with deep but simple lore, funny characters, good action and music sequences, a dog, and is a decent size being only 26 episodes long, plus a movie
I usually recommend Death Note. Given the show's moderate length and its crime mystery style, I think it's a great way to get people to cross that barrier using something familiar.
