Thanks William!
you’re not alone
I feel like he can over-commit in certain situations especially when we're pushing up high or in corners but as he matures he will improve in his decision making.
I think that's part of Arteta's tactics, because we keep a high line. That is an aspect of his game he isn't supposed to change, but rather perfect. And I'd actually say that decision making is his best attribute and it's something that goes under the radar for most of the fans, as it isn't flashy. He has to work on corners tho.. and penalties, obviously, but I'm sure he would.
Just one of the mistakes he makes
@@datsj2152 I wouldn't entirely blame him for corners though, as we've been poor defending set-peices generally, like our players failing to keep up with their man( who they are supposed to mark/ defend/ deal with) I.e ødegaard vs Everton away, partey vs Bournemouth home, kiwior vs sporting cp away etc, so often time it's not always his fault but I too believe there's room for improvement
@@jacobalexander4167 I agree, I never meant it's horrible, but there is certainly room for improvement.
@@datsj2152 The hardest part for any football fan is goalkeepers improve by making mistakes when they are younger. So Ramsdale is on the trejectory to become one of the best. Ever since he put on the Arsenal Jersey he fits the part. Like he was born to do this.
His distribution, the way he bravely plays from the back with hardly any errors, the way he organizes his defense, and the confidence he gives the entire team make him one of the most significant improvements we've had recently. People used to dis Keylor Navas because he made some errors, wasn't very tall, and didn't make eye catching saves like De Gea for example at that time... Nobody appreciated how well Navas organizes the defense and his attitude as almost a 2nd captain, making the entire team play better. Then Navas took a dump on the critics heads with like 3 or 4 UCL trophies... and he made errors every year. Still a huge winner and one of the best goalkeepers ever. It's a very misunderstood position, GK. The mental part of it and how it affects the team is much more important than being flawless individually.
I can’t believe that I didn’t want him at Arsenal, truly humbled me and I love it. I hope he becomes a legend as well
He's still an infant in GK years too. Great career ahead of him. Seems to have the mental part of the game down, just needs to work on his decision making and focus and he'll be a legend.
Alex, the amount of content you've been posting recently is astounding! I'm really glad you returned from the long break away from producing!
Al lthese topics about tactics, mentality and players... just brilliant! How do you do it? 😉
Absolutely love it
Thank you so much!
For me, the most interesting thing about that graph is it shows that, while our recruitment has been excellent in the last few years and we are now in a great league spot, we can still improve by focusing on the CM next. Its the perfect time to bring through Patino, imo and go and make a couple of other signings focusing on the CM area next summer a Partey and Xhaka both still have a couple years left so the next few CMs can be blooded in and learn from them... we might see Patino integrated in the next couple of years and he looks a super talent, Vieira is still adapting and working on his physique but he could be a class player for us too. ESR is also one who if he can get over injury problems may adapt to be a central attacking player, and if we add a top signing or two like Rice/Caicedo at no 6 and Savic (or, if at all possible, the dream signing of Bellingham) at no 8/10 then our squad will be looking so so good in terms of quality but also age and the balance of age/experience.
sure penalties are expected to go in but you would like to believe that your keeper could possibly save one every now and then.
love ramsdale but that is something he really needs to improve
That's what he said tho
Petr Cech was like 1/30 on penalty saves. I'm totally making that number up, but he was horrible for us.
@@cloudcitydigital he was good
Since the sale of Szczesny, arsenal keepers are 3/97 on penalty saves
@@kyleflynn2639 holy shit is that real!?
Perfect for our system. Not the best stop stopper in the league but very serviceable. Will get better at defending set pieces. But his ball distribution is absolutely world class. Can open up teams within seconds. Goalkeepers have to be versatile these days and Rambo is exactly that. Also love his leadership and confidence.
The graph you made is really good ❤
Keep up the work, I love your videos!
Mic drop last line 'hes better than Martinez' 💥🤣
The Different Knock and Bhavss14 have become my go to for Arsenal content, keep it up!
SAAAAAAAAAAAAME!
Amazing video, last season I have to say there was certainly questions over his shot stopping, but he has stepped that up massively this year, one thing I was he was better at though as mentioned is when facing crosses or corners, he seems to be affected a lot by players crowding the keeper, and when he does jump hes off balance or clutching at straws for the ball, certainly something to work on but I love the guy with all my heart anyway
As a longtime Arsenal fan this guy is a proper flapper
Concluding Ramsdale’s class now is like saying a mango is not sweet enough when it’s still green. But even a green mango has its different flavour to taste. I love this energy of youth!
In terms of an overall GK profile…we’re looking at an all timer here. But how many players have we seen with great potential unfulfilled. The thing about Aaron is he strikes me as a learner, a student of the game. He has a willingness to always improve. When you have that quality, you usually fulfil your potential. Another player who I believe has that quality is a certain Declan Rice👀 Great Video once again TDK👍🏻
He is definitely a difficult one to analyse. The points about developing a certain aura and being clutch are essential to the best keepers and I think ramsdale does have those qualities but it’s hard to prove. There’s no reason why he can’t become top 3 in world football in the next 5 years or so.
Best analysis chanel on yt. Great freaking work. I hope you keep going! Cheers lad 👍
ruclips.net/video/-EFnIuv2X8c/видео.html
He's fantastic. The amount of saves he's made that have won us games... He makes saves that are as good as scoring at the other end. That's how you know someone is a quality goalkeeper. Do I think he's Ederson or Donnoruma? No, but he's only in his mid twenties. Give him til he's 29/30 and he'll hit his peak
he should improve in penalties
@@amalrazik1071 I agree, it's an area of his game he could improve on. Once again I reiterate he's 24/25? Not many young keepers save penalties against the likes of premier League strikers. Penalties are expected to be scored. It's basically a case of "pick a way to dive" when you boil it down to it's essential components.
donnaruma isnt that good, way overhypde , Milan hasnt miss him one bit and his psg time he hasnt proven he is better than navas there
@@thegoodgunner I agree, however players who change leagues always need a season to adjust. Look how many came to the Prem from another league and killed it straight away... There aren't many
Perhaps Ramsdale should spend a weekend with David Seaman. He was amazing.
Seaman coaches at Arsenal on a casual basis, a few times a month
@@colin3614 hopefully he will improve penalty saves over time. That would make him every bit as awesome as I think he is becoming.
just seen this after the liverpool arsenal 2-2 game
Ramsdale.. objectively.... is NOT the best goalkeeper in the league. He's just really really good for the way Arsenal play. It's kinda like Victor Valdes during his peak years with THAT Barcelona team.
Totally agree with you. But Ramsdale has a higher ceiling. Let's hope he improves in his shot stopping.
His shot stopping still has plenty of room for improvement and is still behind Leno and Martinez as of right now but he has massively improved this season especially in 1v1s and I'm sure he can get even better. Worth it for the distribution he brings to the table.
He’s top class what? With so much potential as well. Such a good player. His ball distribution is absolutely insane
This guy has no idea how much joy I get when I see a new diffknock video in my notifications
He is not going to be really world class if he finds training boring. He is a bit attention deficit ee. But more consistent this season and hopefully he will mature into more stable keeper. His one on one's good but you didn't address crosses at all which is weird. I think he is still inconsistent on them and can't say he makes me confident in crowded box with physical opposition
According to Keown and Dixon, Patrick Vieira hated training, and constantly complained of niggles and injuries. Very rarely completed a weeks worth of training. Come match day, he was on. So basically, training isn't the be-all and end-all.
I'm sure this is a part of why our away clean sheets are a lot higher than home. Yes, we play a bit more on the front foot at home, but I feel he has more of those concentration lapses too. I reckon the away fans keep him focused a bit more, he loves the shithousery 😂
I'd bet 90% of players hate training. I know I did. You don't have to like it so long as you do it and improve
John Terry said the same thing about Eden Hazard ...he barely trains hard bh on match day,I don't need to tell ur Eden in the league
@@benjamindadzie9657 well maybe Eden laziness on training caught up on his fat ass because last third of his career is a train wreck. Mark Hughes seemingly didn't train either but different days. Matt Littissier would still be playing in his pub team in this era talented as he was. Goal keeping isn't all instinct. There are a lot of different technical elements that need worked on. Everyone likes Ramsdale and he is good but I doubt he is getting to be one of the very best in the world unless he embraces training with true hunger to learn and improve.
You're right, it is fun watching spurs concede! I'll sub just in case there is more of it on the channel in the future.
His interaction with the fans will 100%make him a legend if he stays long term. I had a massive issue with the signing at the time 3 successive relegation & I was like hell no,but he won me over a long time ago & I wouldn't take anyone in the prem over him for the next 10yrs given Allison is already beyond 30. I do admit to being 100% biased though.
Great video. I enjoyed the jab at Martinez.
Seeing him being his jovial self at the end of the video made me smile
Almost his most important trait is his character and leadership. That's the thing about arsenal. Between zinchenko, ødegaard and Ramsdale you've got captains with the ability to speak and rally, and they're all younger than xhaka, who is the other player who clearly possesses those qualities.
A lot of pressure for the young man. Coming into a previously dying Arsenal side and being the man between the posts was always going to be a challenge. We were very shaky as a team in his first season, but he was brilliant. Now, this season, he has had barely anything to do considering how strong our defense has been! He has been good in key moments, but not had much to do throughout the season (in comparison to the previous). Maturity is the key element here. Younger than 25 and has been brilliant. Now that we more or less have a finished team to move forward with, I think he will get better and better into his late 20's should he stay with the club. The only thing for me that he has to really improve on is the amount of time he has on the ball when under pressure. Sometimes he let's the opposing striker get too close before clearing, then he can give it away. He is a fantastic passer and I think he needs to just hoof it up the field when we are struggling from pressure, instead of looking for the short technical pass which allows more errors on his behalf. All in all, I wouldn't replace him for anyone right now.
Turner is also a really good sub keeper for us, totally underrated imo!
“It’s always nice to watch Spurs concede” 😏
Excellent graph
Ramsdale is my favourite keeper since Lehmann.
He has made a lot of tidy reaction foot saves and finger tip onto the post saves
Yes.. just woke up from the other side f the world and i see this on top if my feed
Thats why we nicknamed him "The madman" and we love him
Its very interesting content. That last comment was unexpected, Martinez did exceptionally well in Qatar.
Great video, loved the insight!
Best Arsenal content creator.
Thanks mate
He almost had a Martinez moment. He's also not a world cup winner. But he's amazing
You forgot about Pat Jennings, Bob Wilson and Jack Kelsey. Off the top of my head. All three are legends
Funny you make this video and ramsdale just single handedly saved us a loss today 😭😭😭 GOATDALE
I see his weakness in corner kicks defenses. He needs to clear the ball or stay still and defend, but when he decides to come out and jump to clear the ball, I see threats. It's something he needs to improve as well
Ramsdale is a great player he 24 with so many attributes and leadership he will go on to ve a world class great
Another amazing videos where I learned new things! Thank you!
He’s ok. I think Arsenal is going to upgrade this position. I like Raya. He’s better with his feet and calmer.
i love ramsdale his work effort is off the charts
He's a very good keeper but what separates him is his attitude. He actually thrives on the pressure, he seeks it out and it think that's something only the elite have
He's amazing. I absolutely love love love this guy. My 1
He's a beautiful bastard. I love him
There's a correlation between quick relexes, calmness under pressure and response time.(with the occupational Whoops moment) and ADHD - especially with finding things that are under-stimulating, such as training boring. With Ramsdale stating that he interacts with supporters, especially the opposition's fans for aided focus - I wonder if Ramsdale has ADHD? 🤔
Yeah great info - analytics made simple
Ramsdale lacks calmness as a goalkeeper. He rushes alot. I think he is just average. Arsenal should find another topclass keeper. Look at city they have Ederson and still they signed Ortega who is top top keeper similar to Ederson and also better then Ederson in many areas. Arsenal should emulate city they should not limit themselves with Ramsdale.
Are you listening to yourself?
He's 24... In 5 years time he's at the beginning of his peak... Imagine that. If he's this good already.
Jens Lehman was the most nutter GK we ever have and was top class for us,calmness is overrated
Leno was a calm keeper, and yet, he never claimed his job back after injury last year.
It will be nice to give us world class keepers who are good at their feets n available in the market..Edu, Mikel n Josh Kroenke will be happy.. Thank you
Lol i literally just read this thread on twitter 👌👌
As an arsenal fan personally I’ve opened my eyes and realized he’s really not that good obviously he’s “good” but for a title winning side he should genuinely be fighting to be our backup
world class potential
I just pray we win this league title. What a story that be for ramsdale being relegated to league champion
Love the guy, room to improve but then show me a 24 year old who doesn't. Could be our no.1 for another 10 Years at least.
Very likeable fella, and probably great in the dressing room, but unfortunately I don't think he's as good as everybody seems to think. He needs to improve greatly in my eyes to be considered great. The Sporting game showed up a couple of major flaws in his game, firstly his penalty saving record is terrible, has he ever saved one for Arsenal? Great goalkeepers save penalties now and again, I dread anytime we give away a penalty or if we go to a shootout as his record is so poor. Plus his positioning and the concentration lapse for the Goncalves goal wasn't great. Hopefully he can improve those aspects of his game. Theres no denying that he's good at distribution, Shot stopping and with the ball at his feet, but he's far from being the complete keeper.
I wish he had the save ability of de gea
Am from kenya. Big arsenal fan. Kindly need arsena T-Shirt. Ramsdel n°1 kit
This dude is good. I watch
He is good just little bit restless same times. Still young
I like him, Tbf we’ve always had decent keepers, I go back to Bob Wilson and Pat Jennings….there where one or two bummers….Geoff Barnet stands out but generally we’ve had decent no1’s
Yes.
+ John Lukic.
I enjoyed that.
He should improve his penalty saving technique though
Great Content
Yes
Surely it’s just as easy for a right footed keeper to kick it to the left or right all he needs to do is move his body position depending on the direction he is kicking it?
Get a football and try and boot it a long way on your stronger foot. You'll find it easier to shoot across your body, trust me
considerate the GK we have since lehmann left, we should be happy,Leno was good but ramsdale is very good and fit in our team, not world class but we dont need one
He did improve the defence .
Everybody is good and something and bad at something Arron is good
"Beyond Seaman and Lehmann, there's not much competition."
I know recency bias comes into play, but that's mad disrespect to Pat Jennings and Bob Wilson, both of whom were arguably better than Lehmann.
Bob Wilson retired 23 years before I was born. Forgive me 😂
And Wojciech was better
Yes, he's good. I can see why we signed him now.
Respectfully disagree on penalties. Taker is always a massive favourite
That is what was said. It is 80% ish. I did feel Sporting would have to miss the target though. Gut feeling and maybe they thought that too. He can make some great saves but penalties are more dual than normal shot stopping. One on one's are too but different dynamic? De Haye makes amazing saves all the time but is crap at penalties too. Unfathomable
Yeah that's what I said, 80% chance it goes in
Just need to see him save some pens and I'm all in
10/10
Martinez is legend in my books he give up that win 😭 I swear he loves the club
YAyyy new content
he calls everything
Babe, wake up. New RUclips slander thumbnail meme just dropped.
I fucking dare Ramsdale to drop a stinker now.
Do you have data on Matt Turner for penalties saved? Perhaps he should have come on for Lizard against Sporting?
Aaron was able to make some accurate guesses/reads but he couldn't save them, a shot even went through both his gloves... Heartaching.
Yeah, that Ramsdale guy, you just can not not not not not love him, what a guy!😂
Oi, respect on Emi's name at the end. Emi is elite and was better than Leno but Leno was the marketing option from a poor board
Leno has always been better than Martinez. Just look at what Leno is doing at Fulham and the Martinez at Aston villa. Reason why Fulham is so high in the table is because of Leno's vital saves
His reaction time always feels a bit sluggish to me,
dont knock martinez man! i love that guy
i think his connection with fans is unrivalled. the sh*t house he lives in is untouchable.
alex i love you ❤ how do i do the join thing?
nvm did the patreon x
Haha thank you!
He's a fantastic shotstopper and a massive s***house god as well, so yes, Aaron is REALLY damn good.
But I still think Turner deserves a chance in the 1st team
Petr Cech saved 17/68 for 25% penalty save percentage over his career and he was a traditional keeper. I think Rammers will be fine. He just needs to break his duck.
Basically he's kind of average when compared to the best keepers but the tools are there for him to improve. Time is on his side.
His penalties is why I can see him never becoming England's no. 1.
Is he better than Martinez? That's an interesting one
Weather lo93 I think Ramsdale is more sensible than Martinez and probably easier to deal with .
When you say there’s not much competition you’re missing out Pat Jennings - check him out and you’ll see what I mean
Arron is the best woooooo
Is he better than Martinez? I am not that sure. As long as he get the job done. Who care he’s better than who.
What was Martinez doing at 24?
r/woooosh
Am I the only one who see Jens Lehmann in him?
