Received a great education/college experience at UC Riverside back in the 80's...barely recognize the campus now (except the bell tower of course!)...fastest growing UC of them all for a reason! Go Highlanders!!

Hi! How exciting!! I can’t speak for everyone but I think it was the perfect choice for me. Are you dorming, living in a campus apartment, or commuting? I think at UCR, you have to try a little bit harder to find your comfort place so I suggest joining clubs! That’s what helped me the most. The classes are great of course because it IS a UC💁🏽♀️ If you see me around campus please say hi! Good luck!❤️
Where did you come from? I’m from Chicago and I wanna go to one of these schools bc of the vibes and everything. I noticed that they enroll mostly Cali residents, do they accept a good amount of out of state students as well?

Hi! im an upcoming freshman at uc riverside. What class and why is there a class in the movie theater lol? Is that business because I heard that some business classes are in the village?
Hi!! Yes, UCR rents out the movie theater because there aren’t enough lecture rooms on campus! I had my business & Econ class in there but I believe they have a lot of other classes held in there as well like history, philosophy, etc. :)
Thanks for answering my questions lol! Also if I have a back to back class (one class on campus and the other at the village) and only 10 minutes in between, will I have enough time to walk or should i get a bike or penny board?
Gorang Gupta depends on where your class on campus is! I would always look at where each of my classes are located & how much time I have in between to get to them on time. I would say if you have a class at the UV, give yourself at least 20 minutes to get to your next class. But lots of people have scooters, bikes, boards, etc. to get themselves to each of their classes. But personally, I wouldn’t do that to myself hahaha

I am attending UCR in the fall, and I will be living in the dorms but I still want to take my car because I have an off campus job but I heard freshmen aren’t allowed to take it, is their any way I can exempt that?
K alim wait who said you couldn’t? I’m pretty sure you should be allowed to take your car. I remember some of my friends living in the dorms still had their cars with them

I went to highlander day and my tour guides told me I can’t due to not enough available spaces. Dude if you are allowed to take your car on campus , where do I get the parking permit. Bc I really need to take my car!
I’m going to orientation in July would it be available then to purchase a parking permit or are they available now, I’m stressed
K alim you can purchase a parking permit online, & you can check the dates on when they’ll be available to purchase, just type in “ucr parking permit” on google. I’m sure there’s a way for you to have your car @ the dorms! I mean, there’s parking lots at the dorms for a reason sooo idk why they wouldn’t allow first years 😂 I hope it works out though, good luck!!
