I’m a pilot that owes a lot of my success to Josh! If you’re reading this and are a student pilot, watch all these videos! I used to run on the treadmill and just have Josh’s lessons going while I exercised. Did it 7 days a week. His weather breakdown is one of the best out there!
Thanks Daniel! I really appreciate that! It means a ton!
My guy doing gods work and saving people hundred of dollars... plus very quality instruction all students need. If I do become a CFI I will have my students watch your videos for home study. Oh and if anyones gettin ready for their written test. Dont stress at all about it. Its all multiple choice on computer, watch Joshs knowledge videos and youll be fine! Plus being familiar with the testing supplement book will help. I got a 95% easily!
Thank you so much! Yeah, it’s nothing to stress over!
@@FreePilotTraining Great work josh ,Am looking forward to start my PPL TRAINING next year hear in france 🇫🇷 this really helps alot as I have started to make down my own notes to keep them and at the same time reading them to have advanced knowledge before the day comes to kick off. Tomorrow lesson two .I thumb you up mate, cheers!
Agreed
wow super happy for you captain!
As an old man, I am very interested to breathe life into my pilot’s license once again. I’ll be following this series with interest, studying the material, and I wish you all the best.
Awesome! Have fun getting back into the swing of things!
Just passed my PPL checkride the other day. Just wanted to say thank you for all the videos you make, you were my go to for all my PPL aviation concerns. Couldn't have done it without these videos. Cheers
Awesome! Congratulations! Love reading comments like this.
I just passed my check ride I used these videos for written test and check ride prep. Thank you for all your hard work it helped me pass. THANK YOU again!!!!!!
Congratulations! Thank you so much for letting me know! It means a lot!
Am a 10th student who had a dream to become a captain......
I were searching for a good theory class that i can study now
And it will helpful in mu future i think...!!!
I were weak in physics and maths
But because of the love for aircraft i learned and become very well in physics and maths....
Your video were very helpful
Thank you so much ❤
You’re welcome!
This is Awesome for you to do this for us Thank Youuuu May the Forces be with you
You’re welcome! 😆
Thanks - This is an awesome act of generosity & good will- I appreciate you!
You’re welcome!
Another excellent video Josh. The quality and detail you put into your videos is top notch. Keep up the excellent work. Safe skies my friend 🇺🇸🛩️
Thanks Kevin!
I started pursuing my PPL recently and have been watching your lessons from 2 years ago. So grateful that you are posting these videos and I will 100% be following along!
Awesome! Thank you for your continued support!
great help for my pilot training thanks Josh!! God bless. !
You’re welcome!
Almost through your 61 video playlist. You have helped me feel so much more prepared and confident. Thanks for your efforts Josh!
Awesome! You’re welcome!
Although I am just an MSFS sim pilot, I am dedicated to being the best I can be. I am going to do this whole series. Love the work you do, Josh! Thank you for spending so much time to educate us and refresh this series.
You’re very welcome! I’ve got a lot of similar pilots on here. It’s pretty cool
Apposed. This guys is one of us. Thank you a ton for this course, I’m an aero engineering grad and I get a ton of great practical knowledge from your videos that make the technical backend information make more sense.
You’re welcome!
Thank you for the playlist of aviation ground training. I'm currently attending a part 141 program and was selected as one of few to start flying in the spring of '24 rather than starting in the fall of '23, my first flight is this Saturday and I just wanted to find a program that could help me recap over everything I've learned so far, and this course is just absolutely perfect.
Awesome! Enjoy the flight training!
We’re blessed to have this channel available for us.
The content I wish I had discovered years ago.
Thank you for getting me closer to my dreams ! I’ll study and I’ll come back with my approved test 🙏🏼💪🏼.
God bless your life
You’re welcome! Yeah, let me know how it goes
so impressive,fun to learn!Thanks a lot my teacher🤩
No problem!
As a student pilot that has just started in my flight training i feel so lucky that you’re providing these content 🙌 Thank you so much ✈️✈️✈️
Thanks David! That means a lot! Enjoy the journey!
Thanks for doing these.
You’re welcome!
As a student pilot this course has been invaluable to me. Despite going through Kings PPL ground school, some of the concepts that they teach just do not make sense in their short 5 min explanation videos; however, using your course in addition to kings has allowed me to grasp every concept thus far. Your thorough explanations, graphics and teaching style has been such a tremendous help. I’m now starting to feel more confident at having to take the written in a few short weeks. THANK YOU!!
You’re welcome! Keep me posted and let me know how you do!
Great video and despite simming all my 2 dacades of life I never had the 4 forces explained so well and so fast! Which you have explained a ton of things about aerospace engineering/how aerospace craft fly that I was never told in such a way for it to click or look at as a singular concept... Which to those of you wondering these are the rules of flight in a atmosphere and you'll get a feel for them as soon as you get airspeed even in a race car on the track, a rocket going to space or a helicopter on Mars all things birds and sky divers to obey these rules when in air.
Thank you! Yeah, I wanted to explain these concepts in a way that you could use them in the airplane
Thank you, thank you, thank you. This course is great to watch after reading Pilots Handbook of Aeronautical Knowledge, and Airplane Flying Handbook. I felt it really helped to make the information more clear and usable.
I would recommend moving the videos about medical and license types ahead in the order. Also the video about runway signs and layout sooner (it would help add context throughout the series).
Thank you again, I really appreciate you making meaningful content available to everyone.
You’re welcome! Thanks for watching!
Your videos are informative and very useful ... I would like to thank you deeply for your efforts...Amine From Algeria
You’re welcome! Thanks for watching!
Love your content! Thank you!! Do you have anything on pattern entry procedures? Seems to be some confusion on best practices for non-controlled airports.
You’re welcome! Not yet. That’s on my list of videos to make
Helpful information thank you
You’re welcome!
thank you for providing this service, poor people like me truly appreciate your knowledge
You’re welcome! That’s exactly why I made these! I wish I had them when I was getting my PPL
This one is better than the original. Good job.
Thanks! That was what I was hoping for!
@@FreePilotTraining The graphics in the original video was too distracting. I like this one much better. Plus I think you made the explanations more understandable. I know this is a LOT of work!!! Thank You for doing these - in the first place AND again!!!
@@Harlanb2002 thank you! That’s why I really wanted to remake these. I will eventually redo the next few, but I need to move on for now and do a few more on my list. Thanks for the comment!
Thank you.
You’re welcome!
Thank you ✨
No problem!
Awesome. Make sure everyone gets the ACE guide from Seth lake
Lol, it’s be making a vid on that soon
Going to watch because I love expanding my knowledge, but my question is, is this a compilation/re-upload of your earlier videos, or is this all new material? Thanks!
No problem! They’re improved versions of the original. Take a look and let me know what you think
I will be watching this as I am not sure if I want to go for my PPL but would be nice to talk to my son about this kind of stuff :)
Awesome! It’s a lot of fun!
Nice job! This AGI/IGI is looking forward to watching the entire series. I'm just wondering how you are going to endorse your viewers to take the knowledge test.
Thanks! I’m hoping to create an app in the future!
Great videos Josh. I watched Lessons 1-4. Are there more videos as part of the ground school? I’m 70 and have wanted to learn to fly all my life that I can remember but was never able to do so. I’m finding these videos very helpful as I research my options to get an instructor or flight school. Thank so much for your explanations.
Thank you! Watch the playlist here, then when you stop watching, you can pick up where you left off the next time you watch: ruclips.net/p/PLKGcDgymP_oYkMrMNcc04gr6JMru4E2xH&si=wd3vkb0CzsF0aQs5
Thanks Josh! This was very helpful watching in order. 👍🏻
For young wannabe pilots, this is good stuff
. Did you know at age 16 you can take Advanced Ground Instructor, Ground Instructor, Instrument Ground Instructor, test and get FAA certified with ZERO airtime or endorsement. This is a good way to get creds for vatsim or sim flying, rw aviation school acceptance, whatever. Then get accepted into Airliner or pilot training program, EasyJet for example or be a warrant officer helo pilot in Army etc. good luck.
I didn’t know that. Thanks for the comment!
Got a 45% percent on my Gpl scholarship, most due to the fact that I can't learn with just a computer and myself. Gonna start my journey again here, let's hope I can do it this time.
You got this…
As a 13 year old that is very desperate to become a future airline pilot, this video greatly helped with the first steps! Thankfully because of your videos, I have probably saved hundreds/thousands of pounds lost in the future!
Thanks! I appreciate this!

@@DownTheRabbit-Hole Thank you so much, I am currently preparing for an FAA at the moment, I will also take the others too.
I payed for ASA and it is so dated and confusing. Your videos are easy to understand and fun to watch. I would buy all your ground schools if you offered them.
Thank you! I will probably do that at some point!
You know what? I just said yesterday God , Josh it's been a while since his last video 😂 and oops , a notification from RUclips,
But Josh, what about the old videos about the PPL ground school in the Playlist of 60 videos ?
Yeah, I’ve been really busy lately, but I’m hoping to get back to it pretty soon!
Hey Josh, I thought you already had a PPL ground school lesson 1 uploaded
I do. I’m slowly replacing some of my older videos. They’re a bit tough to watch
could you please upload more detailed Vedic about part 91 about Right-of-Way Rules that would be nice
Not sure what you mean
@@FreePilotTrainingcould you upload more detail video on some common confusing topic?
just make more video sir love how your explain the difficult concept
@06:26 Thrust and weight or thrust and drag?
Is this series also cover dgca cpl exam ?
Not yet
I am doing the European PPL but is there any guide on all the air laws? Eg ICAO annexes and stuff?
I’m sure there is, but I don’t know much about those. All the ICAO stuff I’ve done is for the military and we have our own publications on all that
Hello and thanks for the hard work! I have a very important question, please answer it for me ASAP if you can, please. I will appreciate it a lot.
Is there any difference between Canadian and US Aviation lessons Fundamentals. Specifically, "PPL"?
Anyone who knows please answer.
Thanks
Wahid From CA
You’re welcome! It’s a little different. I don’t know all the differences though
Ive watch the entire PPL series plus others. Is this the same as before or is there new info?
It’s the same info, but I’ve improved the video a lot and tied the lesson I. With something you could actually use in the airplane
Perfect. I will watch
👍
Good content though MIT also posted their ground school on RUclips.
Thanks! I didn’t know that. I have a hard time thinking of a lecture as a ground course
I asked on the other video but i meant to ask here:
Im in middle of ground training via sportys', and i plan to start flying once i get my FAA written. Is that a solid way to do it, or should i already start flying and do both simultaneously?
You can do either. I personally recommend taking the written test first, but if you’re 3/4 of the way through, it wouldn’t hurt to start flying
@@FreePilotTraining thanks!
Is this a revamp of the stuff you already have? Or are you redoing videos?
I’m revamping a few of the older vids. I’m not happy with the graphics and I want to bridge the gap between the knowledge required for the written test and knowledge you can actually use in the aircraft
@@FreePilotTraining im here for it
Hi, I was just wondering if you could somehow make a free pilot training for CPL or ATPL which would definitely be able to help others and some younger people who want to become a pilot when they grow up
At some point, I would like to. It’s a long process. I’m hoping to start working on an app for my PPL course very soon. If it’s successful, I can hopefully devote more resources to that content more quickly
Oh nice, well is your app going to be free? Because I'm 12 and wanted to become a pilot and I was pretty afraid that I didn't know where I could build a good foundation about aviation knowledge so if the app is free it'll definitely help me out and someone else...
@@FreePilotTraining
Wow, nice, Btw is your app going to be free because I'm 12 and I'm afraid that I don't have a good foundation in aviation knowledge so if it is then it's going to help me out and someone else......
Probably not, but this series on RUclips will be the major part of the course. I intend on adding some reading lessons, flash cards, and practice tests. Once it’s complete, you’ll get an endorsement for the written test
Ok nvm, and btw is the CPL written test going to be different like instead of asking us about VFR, it'll ask us about IFR?
Love these videos, but watching this series may prepare you for the test, but don't you need some kind of sign off before you can take the test?
Yes. You need an endorsement. I have plans to eventually add that capability
Quite interesting that the FAA mandated passing threshold is only 70%, instead of the 75% within the EASA regulated countries.
Yeah. Not sure why, but it’s still a tough test
can we use it for dgca ground class
Yes, but I’m not giving any kind of endorsements…yet. Hopefully in the near future that will change
@@FreePilotTraining OK thanks
can you answer my question buddy ? Scenario 1; Flying at 3000 ft with 250knot airspeed or true speed, with 5 degree AoA as level and straight flight so we have lift as much our plane weight, Scenario 2; then we has started ascent and making a constant climbing with 10 degree and increased thrust and set our speed 250 knot so when i check i see my AoA is same as 5 degree. So in our both scenario are generated lift same as first and second case ? Because same speed, same AoA but only one is straight level flight second is, straight constant climbing (10 degree) ? Thank you. I am really stuck at this point. In the other side is the lift same as weight in second scenario too like first one ? Thank you much !!
I bet you had a headwind in scenario 2. That could cause that
@@FreePilotTraining Nope there was no any headwind. Probably as long as air speed and AoA is same, then producing lift is same regardless if you fly level flight or constant straight gaining altitute. I didn't expect that too but it looks it's fact. Thanks for response !
My dream to become a pilot 13 years
You can do it
You Will not only be a pilot, but a captain. Never stop dreaming.
Are you located in Florida
No. I’m in Alaska actually
I haven’t flown on a regular basis in 10 years. Using your videos to refresh my memory on airspace.
Also, is that wing ok at 3:52? Lol
😂
MY dream to become Pilot 47 age
Do it!
You are beautiful.
😆 thanks!
It’s not free if we have to watch countless ads.
RUclips premium is like $10 a month. It’s still way cheaper than buying a ground course and you no longer have to watch any ads on RUclips at all
@@FreePilotTraining you also get YT music, background play and support your favorite channels more. It's actually quite good :) Thanks for your content btw, I am going to start my PPL in April :)
@@ArwinTours thanks! Yeah, I used to feel guilty about all the ads, but I’ve spent hundreds if not thousands of hours on these videos. It’s nice to get something from them. Enjoy the training! It’s hard work, but it’s a blast!
