Booked 6648 just me and my husband, he’s never cruised before, I’ve been on 7 cruises and I love it, I can’t wait to enjoy the suite perks. My last cruise was a 2 bedroom i shared with my sisters and daughters, I was spoiled and I can’t go back to sailing a cruise unless it’s a suite❤
Hey I got the Owners suite and watching your video! lol I know you were just kidding…always enjoy your videos such as the Disney hotel ones that helped me make my booking decisions!!!
Hi, your video is so helpful. Would you pick 6282 or 8276 or 14280. the cruise mapper shows the life boat partially affects the view of 6280 to 6328 so I’m a bit concerned about 6282 but I like deck 6.
The lifeboats will me more viewable, but I don't believe they would be obstructed. Personally, Deck 6 is my favorite and I prefer being close to locations on the ship rather than the view.
Hi Shannon!! So detailed. Thank you for this!! I have a guarantee ocean view but I’m considering paying a little more to select my specific room. I’m scared of getting burned with a horrible room. Can you tell me what you’d recommend?? Thank u!! ❤
@@krys4619 I would skip to the Oceanview section to look. Personally, location is more important when making a selection. The Oasis class is a huge ship, so I prefer being close to an elevator to make getting around easier. Especially for a 3/4 night cruise.
Thank you for such a detailed video! I'm looking into booking this ship for my first cruise ever with my husband. Is there a travel agency that you would recommend using?
Yes, there are 2 links in the description box. You can let them know I sent you. Both are great in checking for lower rates after you book and are knowledgeable in RCCL. I don't have a fiduciary relationship with either, but both agencies know Royal very well.
Thank you sooo much for this video. We are considering the Ultra Spacious Ocean View with Large Balcony, but are worried about movement/seasickness due to its location, considering this will be our first cruise. Any helpful advice? TIA!
It’s forward on Deck 11? It’s been a while since I made this. We were in a cabin in a similar location on deck 14 back in 2018 and had no issues with movement. Shouldn’t be a problem unless you get seasick easily.
Do you know which ocean-view balconies have obstructed views? We are looking at Utopia for Christmas and want a balcony but don't want an obstructed view.
Usually Obstructed are marked as such. But Utopia will be like other Oasis Class ships, so you should be able to look at those rooms to see if it's obstructed. Is there a particular stateroom you are looking at?
Great video! Are the bump out balconies (junior suites) decks 11-14 worth it? Or would you book 2 regular size junior suites? Wondering if the balconies connect- I know the rooms do not. Thanks!
We aren’t big balcony people, so I would say no. You are just getting a bigger balcony. If the price difference is small, then maybe, but not if it’s significant. I think balconies can connect even if rooms do not, but I’m not 💯 on that.
@@ShannonFord Thanks!!! Same price, I do love a good balcony. LOL. Traveling with 3 girlfriends, who really wanted connecting rooms. so It's hard for me to pass on a large balcony for no extra cost.
@@EileenBonilla-d6w you’ll have a nice view of the Boardwalk and will be able to watch the Dive Show from your balcony. However, it will be a pretty long walk everywhere. We had a similar balcony and didn’t care for it, but it was also a weeklong cruise. For a 3/4 night cruise, it may not be as bad. We prefer to be near the elevator or stairs.
8274 is great because it pretty close to elevator. On a big ship like this, that is very important. Deck 8 had Central Park which is nice. I think that’s a good choice. Wee prefer 14 & 6, but deck 8 is our 3rd choice. But we have an 8 year old and like being near kid things
That is personal perference. Some people like to be higher, so like to be closer to the water. Personally, I choose based on what is on each deck. Deck 14 to be close to Adventure Ocean, Deck 6 to be close to Boardwalk or Deck 8 to be close to Central Park.
Great info. Never been next year will be my 1st. Friends are staying at boardwalk balcony. So I booked same..??? Is room 11703 good??? Also I hope I don't get sea sick😮
I think it's good. You aren't too far from the Aft elevators. Now are you prone to seasickness or motion sickness? If so, I'd suggest a Central Park Stateroom because its more mid-ship.
Wow great video. I am getting into this ship soon. First timer. I was looking at balcony room. can u help me choose between 6252 6256 6260 6264 . have rooms available in 6/10/11/12 . Has has hardly left. Is 6th best you reckon please? thanks in advance
I would pick 6264 as it’s the closest to the elevator. That is a personal preference: I love deck 6 because you are very close to Boardwalk and one deck above promenade.

They are all generally in the same proximity to the elevators, so go with whichever deck you like most. Deck 6 is great cause you are close to Boardwalk and one deck up from promenade. Looking at videos from Wonder, I don’t see obstructions from the lifeboats. But Utopia is still new so it’s possible. But I think it would be fine.
Thank you for going into the details. One of your similar videos for Disney's Caribbean Beach helped us years ago with room selection
My pleasure. I enjoy making these videos to hopefully help others plan their vacations

I booked the same room for my Son and I!! We sail in December, 2025. How about you folks?
The suite life is great.
Thanks for all your videos! So helpful!

The Solarium sleep up to 4 and it does have a balcony.. it’s the one where the window come down… the sofa turns into a queen bed.
Thank you

@@ShannonFord 🤦🏼♀️ lol thank you! Sorry I completely missed that
Looking at the balcony rooms, do you prefer something on the deck 6 or something higher?
I try to be close to where you go a lot, Adventure Ocean, Boardwalk etc.
I booked oceanview on Utopia and was given 7323. After looking at deck plans, I switched my room. I'm not sure how 7323 is considered "oceanview"?!
Interesting. Hope you have a great cruise

Not really. It’s a good enough distance and there’s a hallway. It’s not like a hotel
i am booked 11208! ty. hopefully i can book the immersive train dinner.
Sorry I missed your comment. Please report back if you are able to book the train dinner
Thoughts on 8725?

You mentioned 17 decks but my app shows 18 decks, as I've already booked it for October 2024
There is no deck 13
Just booked 8274, any comments on that balcony room? Love your video!! Thanks 😊

What about Promenade View Interior ? It Is good ? We are 4 and there is the only option that I can see in Black Friday deals ?😮
They are good. No special cabins in that category, but they are very central.
Is 11716 a good choice? Have not cruised RC since 2011
It’s not bad. Personally, I would prefer to be closer to an elevator.
Wait. But how would you know the best and worst rooms? The ship isn’t even almost built yet?
This is based on the other ships in this class. Much of the layout is the same
What deck is best for Oceanview balcony?
