The first apartment that i had (1986) was pretty spare of everything. We had a TV and a VCR with one videotape. This was it. We watched it so much for lack of anything else to watch. I know this film by heart. Scene for scene, shot for shot, diologue for diologue. It was like our ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW. We would have partys and REPO MAN would always be playing in the background. We would yell out certain lines and do certain things during certain scenes. It still remains a great film.
You had a VCR in 86? I was way too poor for that. But when it came on HBO around that time I borrowed a VCR from a rich friend, bought my very first blank tape, and recorded it. That's how much I love this movie.
Graham H I've been putting alot of time in thinking about how I could get a Malibu this color I just might have a few that'll work Just need a Malibu now
To all who commented on this movie......I love you all. How many of you quote at least one line a week if not more during the day? I have to say it's my #1 favorite Movie. And that's hard for me to nail something as #1 favorite. Ask me my favorite band and it will change week to week but movies REPOMAN #1 Bless those who appreciate this classic " you'll find one in every car, youll see"
where can I find this version of the track "Repo man" that ends with the "blues" break, that plays during the end titles? the version in the OST does not have this ending....
@@A2Z83 I think this happened in the original jammed version and then they cut off the ending for the album version. I just love to listen to this blues break... I believe it's Steve Jones doing the pick slide... awesome
Back when the movie “Ghost” came out the ending seemed so familiar and as I was watching it I thought “Repo Man!” Otto is Sam Leila is Molly Miller is Oda Mae. Anyone else see it?
Saw this movie at the frida theater with my idiot bf and it was so awesome 🤤 loved every second of it especially watching it with my dumb big ol stinky bf.
all Nesmith did was fund it. Alex Cox was the man - wrote it, directed it - thanks to Nesmith for putting his $$$ behind but don't give him too much credit

What brings us all home
What about our relationship? Fuck that. Classic
“The more you drive the less intelligent you are.”
Never a truer word spoke.

Pablo Picasso was never called an asshole

I suddenly have the urge to eat a can of Food.
Tastes better on a plate. You'll enjoy it more.
I would prefer a "plate o shrimp"
Along with an ice cold can of drink
A Repo Man's life is always intense!
The life of a repo man is always intense. Sounds better that way.
In the 1920s repo men were called "bacon grabbers".
This movie changed my life
mine too
mine three
Same here, my friend.
So y'all became repo men?

This unconscious lattice is trippy
Best God-Damned Car in the yard...
i like how the credits are coming down
King Ace Hernandez me too. It s trippy 😎👏it makes my mind go wild
It’s an homage to “Kiss Me Deadly” (1955) 😉
Also, this movie is so cool, it plays its end credits backwards..
This is the best movie about real LA, and directed by an Englishman!
Check out Kiss Me Deadly(1955), a favorite of the director’s and no doubt an inspiration for this film
"Woah, this is intense!"
"The life of a repo man is always intense!"
fuck that...
assome song in the end scene is for . the plugz - reel ten
Oh man, I’ve been looking for that song for ages, thanks!
Definitely one of the coolest movies ever made !
Such a quotable movie.
"Somebody piss on the floor again?"
Great score by the Plugz. What about our relationship? Fuck that" ... one of many great lines in this classic. This movie is so quotable.
"What about our relationship???"
"Fuck that..."
And the MGTOW movement was born!
One of the best scenes and tunes in all movie history. Thanks Alex :) love it
Car Freshener Corporation is in the credits! They should do a Repo Man freshener!
Yea, they actually paid for the product placement!
Great 🎥 great music 🎶 soundtrack. Great actors. Too
where can I find this version of the track "Repo man" that ends with the "blues" break, that plays during the end titles? the version in the OST does not have this ending....
my theory is they attatched that from the instrumental version they recorded for the intro.

They could make repo man 2 where they come back from their celestial car ride years later. Emilio still looks young enough 😎
Make that 3 decades later🤘😎👍
they did, it was a disaster...
@@atom_gray pretty sure that was just a film that had a similar name by coincidence
One of MY best Films!!!!!
"There ain't no difference between a flying saucer and a time machine."
When Otto is beckoned to get in, and he realizes Miller is the only person who was right the whole time.
Everyone could stand a couple hundred chest X-rays a year, and they ought to have em too.
Best goddamned movie in the yard!
Good That So many Love This Flick, I remember when it 1st came out & watching on VHS = Sucked. Great Movie almost B, ... But B 4 Bad ASS

The Angry Samoans would love the fact that Rodney' s last name is misspelled in the ending credits.

2:23 - IGGY!!!!!
Je ne cherche rien juste son originalité unique. Bravo!!!
Repo Man
The Life of a Repo Man is Always Intense!!
Rich Powers you said it buddy👍🤘😎
The credit for the ending music in Repo Man is THE PLUGZ, not Iggy Pop.
Did you watch the video? The Plugz is the music in the final scene, love that song and Iggy Pop is on the credits. What part of that are you missing?
Iggy did the credits music, Plugz did the final scene.
You are bitching about the credits, as they roll by you it literally says "Written and Performed by Iggy Pop."

Envie de prendre l'air et ce kc j'ai vu plusieurs foi ce filme !
The ending credits for this movie scroll downwards, does anyone know if this ever happen in another movie?
yes. this whole film is basically a tribute to Kiss Me Deadly where the titles were famously played backwards
+FatMat426 It does. The movie Next from Paramount Pictures has it
Se7en
Also, "Bird On a Wire," 1990 movie w/ Goldie and Mel. Woof.
Good point Never Noticed before. Musta been Alien technology, Mike Nesmith Did good in This Film ...
Such GREAT Acting! A Low Budget Movie That Lasts In Infamy, Michael Nesmith Of The "Monkee's" band behind it. A Classic Rewatch many Times Is good...

Awesome movie!
The best goddamn crappy CGI on the yard.
That wasn't cgi. They painted the entire car with 3M green reflective paint, $600 a can.
There were no real "C"s to be "GI"d at the time. This is rotoscoping and practical effects.
That wasn't CGI genius.
@BernieBatzen -- and i think the dudes from the Plugs later formed The Cruzados . . .
theres a Cruzados song used in the movie
I'd rather die on my feet than live on my knees.
great quote but not original lol
