Great video Chris! Better late than never. I like the comparisons with the current balls that would be at the top of others' bags. I would like to see a comparison video bewteen the Eternity Pi and the Magic Gem.
Hey Chris, John Smith here, from Oklahoma. I lived in Wichita during the Chilton days, hopefully you remember me. I was playing jokes at the wrong time. Anyway, I had a hip replacement surgery that went bad and wanted to ask you a few questions regarding switching from a right handed bowler to a left handed bowler. How difficult would that be?
It depends on how ambidextrous you are. I am a lefty who fools around with right handed bowling. It takes a bit to getting used to the footing adjustment, but I started striking after a half a game. Luke Rosdahl has a channel and he switched from righty to lefty due to shoulder/arm issues. I have also had a couple friends make the switch due to health issues and they have been pretty successful making the change.
Why would you want textured approaches or lanes? Does it age better ? Allow for heavier oil loads but still get a read, not Carry down so easy? Is it better for the synthetic slide pads.
Chris and Ryan are like my son and his daddy. They always messing with each other. Our son is 20 and I don't think they will ever change with how they act like kids. Heck they still wrestle no matter where we are if they are together you will see them on the ground at some point before the night is over. They are stuck to each other... They're crazy. .. 😂 we are all competitive with each other no matter what we are doing but we want our kids to be the best they can be.
Can I ask a question? Why do you move your pin placements from ball to ball? I thought the point was to have different ball reactions? Moving the pin placement makes all the balls do the same thing...am I wrong?
Thank you for all your videos!!!! I have the Magic Gem. How would the Etnerity Pi compare to the magic Gem?. I need something for heavy oil. Thank you!!!
That depends on the person’s PAP. Mine is 5” so any layout between 4” to 5” pin to pap puts my ring finger within 1 inch of the pin. So almost all of my balls are drilled with the pin in my ring finger because if you drill within 1” of the pin without drilling the pin out completely, it voids the warranty. Professional bowlers don’t necessarily care about that since they don’t have to pay for most of their bowling balls. For me, it’s a medium layout halfway between pin up and pin down. I’m speed/rev matched so that works just fine.
It's a shame AMF didn't include down lane tracers as part of their new lane surfaces. I feel like the tracers should be an industry standard at this point.
Thanks again for editing this video. Looks like Chris did a great job explaining the ball.
Glad you enjoyed it
I’M HAPPY TO SEE CHRIS BARNES BACK!!!!
Chris Barnes still got plenty of power at the bottom of the swing to carry those off hits
Great review Chris! Just drilled mine yesterday and planning to throw it today. 5.5X5X2
Welcome back Chris Barnes! I got 2 Eternity Pi, one pin up and the other pin down. Can't wait to get the Virtual Energy Blackout!

Once Chris has the Magic Gem, the Eternity Pi will be in that comparison for sure. Stu does have the comparison in his magic Gem review
Come get you some of that Ryan 😅😂 A lot of nice equipment lately. Reminds me of the Critical Theory. Looks and roll.
I love my Eternity Pi. I actually have an Absolute too that I bring out as my next ball!
Thanks for this review Chris, very informative!

I was thinking about some slightly weaker balls than my Gem. It's felt like too much ball lately so this could be an option I may look into.
Thank you for making this video
Yes please. Let’s see Lynda throw the ball.
👀🍿 im already a fan of the Eternity line!
Bowling ball is looking very good
lol at the shots you throw at Ryan
How much of the ball touches the lane? What's your average tilt.
Thanks!
Thank you!
Can I ask a question? Why do you move your pin placements from ball to ball? I thought the point was to have different ball reactions? Moving the pin placement makes all the balls do the same thing...am I wrong?
I would imagine that it depends on the weight block and how it's shaped. Moving the pin will either make it more stable or unstable.
Thank you for all your videos!!!! I have the Magic Gem. How would the Etnerity Pi compare to the magic Gem?. I need something for heavy oil. Thank you!!!
I think the Eternity Pi is cleaner and more angular than the Magic Gem.
@@BeefandBarnzy Thank you and I really appreciate you!!! Merry Christmas!!!!
What does putting the pin in the finger do or what would that layout be?

lmao, Chris be like I'll just move ten right and sends a messenger, mad talent, thx for sharing ball looks sweet, is it close to a reality check?
Step up from reality check, probably in between check and original reality
Hi guys, How does the Pi compare against the RST X-1?
Think that is a pretty good comparison. Think Pi is a little more overall hook, most of which being down lane
@@BeefandBarnzy thank you! Always appreciate all the help
For ryan barnes layout 60 x 4¾ x 70 is that a strong layout weaker layout what kind of layout is that help me out pls
Ryan uses the 2ls system for his game. 4 3/4 pin to pap would be strong though. Check out his channel www.youtube.com/@BarnzyBowling/
The π is becoming my feel good ball. I cannot put it down.

I expected a " No editing yeah right " from stu after Chris said that 🤣
hahaha well......
I like pie! 😂
Fouls always count Sir
Not in action or ball reviews! haha
@@BeefandBarnzyMark it zero!! 🤣
HOF carry, Barnzy! 😂
