i got a digital piano and a few concert grand VSTs installed into my Mac Mini....i bought this SK01 to drive my headphone...also got a headphone cable that will drive into my digital piano speakers....and it works really great...its even a better output sound compared to those USB DAC i purchased....so far this is the only product in the market that i can use....fyi, concert grand piano can cost to $180K....i have five VST that will sound like the real thing....so happy!

I'm thinking of using this as just volume/tone control, using only line out to another amp for my headphones. Do you think with this setup there will still be distortion as you were saying with high volume + bass boosted?
Got one a few days ago. If you have lots of audio dongle DACs and random audio stuff it is a no brainer. Sort of like a poor man’s Schiit Lokius with a battery hiding inside.

If you carry a small backpack and it sits inside with your cable being long enough for your cans to reach your head, then this is a portable device.
