Can never understand why a perfectly good vintage toy with "characteristic aging" needs to be bleached which will in the long term do more harm than good. Most collectors would cast a very curious eye over the new found whiteness and pass it up.
I agree with you to a point. But my R2D2 went a minging orange colour a few years back and I would love to display him. I don't want to sell him, its just my preference. The one in this video however was beautiful to start with and I wouldn't have bleached him.
Would the decals get ruined in the water and bleach?
