Adding on to that "its a different time" and songs that impacted him part that he was talking about- My parents, especially my mother, would play old songs that came out way before i was born (old classics, 70's, 80's, 90's style music) and because *thats* what i heard growing up, that type of music is what i like and what developed my taste in music early on. And I do get what he's saying because music in more of the early mid-2000s is what impacted me the most and developed my taste in music later on. I like pretty much all genres though, except for county. I like some songs in that genre but, no offense, id rather not listen to repetitive songs about repetitive subjects like beer, whiskey, girls, and boots. I do like some country music though. Also, hard rock is not really my thing either but aside from those two genres, I pretty much actually listen to everything else on a daily basis.
