Air Jordan 6 Varsity Red Restoration and Chicago Custom by Vick Almighty

- Varsity Red Air Jordan 6’s Restored and Customized by Vick Almighty. The Varsity Red “Pack” of Air Jordan 6’s is like the red headed step child of sixes. Both shoes were only released once back in 2010 and haven’t been released since. Some people weren’t a fan of this release because it wasn’t a true reissue of the original Infrared colorway, while others liked the color change as it was closer to the Chicago Bulls team colors. To push that Chicago colorway on this pair Vick added his touch by customizing the shoe to make that more evident. First he fully restoring this pair of Varsity 6’s, by giving the shoes a full deep clean with Reshoevn8r’s 3-Brush Laundry Kit and Sneaker Laundry Detergent. Then Vick un-yellowed and re-glued the toecap. Next he gave the shoes a full repaint while also adding a twist on the mid-sole by incorporating black and switching some color placement. Lastly, Almighty dyed the out-soles black to tie in the Chicago colorway. For some bonus points a simple lace swap from white to black laces was thrown on the shoes. Awesome video! I bought these in 2010 and still have them! Mine are in great overall condition except the sole needs to get swapped on one. The back foam on these started to break apart. Not sure why it was just my right foot. These are my favorite Jordans of all time. I love that they are the unique and were never re-released.

Yeah until I can afford my own "indoor setup," I put em in the back yard, but I keep checking em quite often!
@@JuggaloSupreme I was thinking how I could DIY that setup. I'm thinking of getting a fish tank, put aluminum foil on the inside, a little peg so the shoe can sit in setup getting maximum exposure, and then getting the light bulbs for the setup from Home Depot or something.
@@kontrolldkhaosPK - That's pretty much what he does. Like I said, you should email the company. They are very happy to answer any questions you might have, even about the stuff they don't sell. They even asked Vick a question for me and got back to me the next day. You should also look underneath his videos for links for the stuff he uses. The main thing you need to do is save up for a good quality UV light, not some cheap bulbs. Until then, the sun works great , especially if you live somewhere where it's not over 80 degrees right now.

@@kontrolldkhaosPK - No problem homie. It is always best to do all of your research and get all of your questions answered before you begin a project that you are not familiar with. I can tell you I made a couple of mistakes on my first restoration, although the shoes look fresh as hell regardless! Especially if you don't have to pay for the information, you're doing yourself a disservice if you don't ask for the info. Good luck with your restoration journey!

That salon care 40 trick works on white soles, but within a month, without even wearing the shoe, the oxidation came right back for me
