Thank you from a 60 yrold woman who followed your directions and just fixed my wheelbarrow tire. Thank you so much.
You're the man, Doublewide! I had almost run out of curse words trying to get that tire filled.
So after about an hour trying several different futile methods I was about to head to harbor freight for new heavy duty yard cart wheels and tires. Well I found this video before going and now I have the tires inflated again I love you
Thanks DW! I used a ratchet tie down strap instead of a rope. Did it right on my snow blower didn't even bother to remove the wheels. Jacked it up with a couple of 2 X 4's, wrapped the strap around the middle of the tire(s), gave it a fair squeeze with the ratchet and bingo. Took 5 minutes per tire. Two things: put just enough air in the tire so it begins to inflate and use a channel locks to spring the ratchet. It gets really tight you don't want your fingers in the way of the handle when it's released.
Thank you very much for the video, i just went to fix my old wheelbarrow flat tire after seeing your video and the flat tire was fixed in 5 minutes with my compressor. I am very happy that i can fix this myself and don 't have to buy anything.
Thank you Doublewide6. This is exactly what I was facing. I loaded up my wheelbarrow full of dirt and didn't notice the tire was underinflated. The added load must have broken the bead and it went totally flat. Thanks again for sharing this awesome tip.
Thanks, I was trying to hold with my knees and push with one hand. Almost had it. This was what I needed to see. Thanks again.
Here it is 6 years later and your video helped me out! RUclips cracks me up. I used a ratchet strap and it worked fine. Thanks bud!
Many thanks. Prior to heading out to the hardware store to ask for help, I thought I would check RUclips. Your method worked perfectly. Both tires inflated in about 15 minutes. Bravo.
Awesome video - spent too long trying to figure it out myself; then solved it in four minutes thanks to you.
Thank you. Very useful - I used a ratchet strap. Inflated in moments. Would never have guessed!
Both of the front swivel tires on my rider had gone flat & broken the seal. I thought I was going to need new ones, so I started calling up mower shops & it was going to cost me anywhere from $70 to $120 with installation. Then I found your video, & I'm pretty sure this will work! Thank you so much!
Brilliant! thanks much for posting this. My utility cart tires both were flat and I thought I needed a special tool to fix so tried the local tire shop and they wouldn't help with it. The hardest part about this was finding where I had hidden the rope in my garage. :-)
After buying 2 new wheelbarrow tires that didn't fit, and then contemplating just buying a new wheelbarrow, I found your video. I am 5 ft tall and pretty handy around this house but this video made me feel very proud. It totally worked!! thank you doublewide6!!!
Thank you so much, I thought for sure I needed to buy a new wheel, tried this and it worked almost immediately!
Thanks, worked great on my snowblower tire this morning.
us office workers who just have a screw driver set and a crescent wrench thank you!!
i would have got a new tire, the stuff you pick up on youtube saves a lot of bucks.
I like this method a lot better than the ratchet strap on some of the other videos. Thanks for posting.
Thanks for posting this tutorial! Had this happen to me yesterday on my hand truck, and was stuck trying to figure out how to inflate it without creating a fire hazard in my small apartment.
just used this method in the back on my tailgate with dolly. worked perfectly! Thanks!
Thanks for this video! I have a hand truck I need to use this weekend, and with this very cold weather both tires were flat. After watching your instruction I was able to inflate both tires with a bicycle pump!
And just in case this might be helpful to others: it was easier for me to do this with the tires left on the hand truck because I could leave the lever tight against the frame while I then pumped up the tire.
Thanks for the tip. It worked like a charm for me.
Very easy. The rope worked well. Fixed in under 2 minutes.
Had a tired go flat in a middle of a dig-out. Thanks to the video, the tire to my snow blower is good to go and now I'm ready for the next dig-out this weekend.
Awesome! Just tried this on a wheelbarrow that I thought was a hopeless case. Worked a charm!
Thanks for the tip, worked like a charm for my snowblower tire.
You just saved me.. great video. Doublewide you're the man!
Thanks double wide. I used an old braided belt and it worked great.
Your video saved me a tire and probably a bunch of headaches, and I learned something new. Thanks!
Totally worked. Couldn't believe it. THANK YOU.
Thanks for the tutorial, got my tractor tire fixed right up with your advice!
You are a lifesaver. I can't believe I actually fixed my tire after watching your video. Thank you
This video was a time and money saver when I needed to get a job done rather than run to hardware store for a new wheel. Thank you!
Thank you! I also used a sealant between the wheelbarrow tire and rim. It worked great!
Thanks, I haven't tried this yet, but I plan to. Nice to know how to fix it.
great simple way of inflating tyre had tried many ways this worked straight away
Worked like a charm! Thank you for posting this for people like me!
Worked perfectly on a dolly tire. Saved the day, thanks!
Thanks! I can now return the new tire I bought- great idea and worked with no hassle at all.
My uncle's dolly and I thank you for posting and taking the time to edit the compressor out :P
I've had 2 flat tires on my hand truck for months and couldn't figure out how to get them inflated. Just found this video and had both of my tires pumped up (bike pump) in a grand total of 15 minutes.
You're a freakin' genius as far as I'm concerned!
Thanks for this video.
Thank you!!! I had worked at it an hour with no results and then I looked at your video. Wow!!! In just 5 minutes the tire was fixed. I will remember this trick forever!
Sounds like you learned something useful. Thanks
Thank you so much for this video! Just fixed my wheel barrow tire all b myself with your video! saved me lots of money! Thank you again!!!!
Thank YOU so much. You spared me from having to get a new wheelbarrow. Blessings.
I was having trouble getting a new lawn tractor tire to seat, I got a piece of rope and followed your instructions, in no time at all the bead seated and the tire is back on the tractor. Thanks for the tip, I watched several videos that used ether and didn't feel comfortable playing with fire, clever but seemed like overkill for such a small tire, again, thanks.
Have used this method a few times and it always works great. Today I discover that I can fix the tire w/out removing the tire. Just make sure you can jack it up, have space to work and some type of compressor. I keep a cheap $20.00 portable compressor in my car. It works for auto tires and has plenty of power to do flat mower tires that are off the rim, but gotta use the rope around tire.
good presentation, fast, confident and not retaded
doublewide6 you dialed us on the wheelbarrow tire repair. Thanks!!
Worked like a charm. First time, one take. Thank you!
Had this problem this am and this fix worked like a charm. Thanks!
Sir you are a genius! Worked perfect with the rope. Much better than a ratchet strap. THANK YOU!!
My wheel barrow tire went flat yesterday when I cornered it to hard. I tried to put air in but it was no go because the bead wouldn't seal. I watched your video and did what yo said. It worked great!!! Thanks for the help.
focusfilmsllc1 Happy it worked for you.
Ancient post, but I must say I was infuriated... the moment I saw you wrap that tire tournique I flew into a blind rage that I didn't think of that myself. It worked flawlessly. Bravo.
I have never seen it done that way. Thank you so much for teaching me.
Thanks! Wish I had of clicked two days before buying a new assembly...regardless, I will use your technique for further endeavours. Well done!
I got a handtruck sitting outside with two tires EXACTLY like this. Noiw thanks to this video, I have a way to address the situation. Your efforts have helped me out Sir!
I'm happy the video has helped.
Thank you....thank you ....thank you.
I wasted three hours few days ago trying to fix two tires.
I fixed them in few minutes thanks to your video.
hey d ouble wide , I would like to say thank you for your time on this video I saw it last week and thought that was cool and hmmm would it work , well I will be the first to say yes ,,,, I got up the next morning and pulled my boat trailer out and well the tire was completely off the bead I didn't have a rope but I had a ratchet strap, it worked like a champ , just when you use a ratchet remember to keep the hand away from the ratchet so it wont hit the hand.. thanks again .
Happy I could help.
Thank you! This worked on our dolly tires!
dude, even though i had a rounded wheelbarrow tire, i used your technique and it worked! thanks for the tip! and i was about to shop for a whole new wheelbarrow.
Same
Friggin Awesome!, Thanks DoubleWide6!
Brilliant and extremely useful trick. I put this into practice and added to my toolbox of knowledge. Thanks!
Thank you! Especially for using the hammer. Those of us that are not mechanically inclined are thankful to know that everyday items are sufficient.
Thanks worked great for fixing my front mower tire. No more paying shop to do it.
Wow! I thought there was no way it would work on my wheelbarrow wheel because it is about 1/3 the width of the wheel you used in the video. But, what do you know, it worked like a charm! I feel much more manly now. Thank you doublewide6.
Thank you! Worked great for me and I even used a hand pump.
Thanks! You are a treasure for sharing your knowledge!
Double wide,
Thanks man. Worked like magic dust. I had the same problem as Hudson A. Hand truck is rollin now.
Rope fix work for me. Great idea. Thanks Buddy
Thank You SOO Much! I tried fire a dozen times, tried this once and it worked, although you need some good rope.
You are awesome for sharing that, rope and hammer worked like a champ!!!
it worked, great thanks. the shops said it cost $70 to fix when I bring in the flat tire without the snowblower. Cost more to fix if flat is still on the snowblower!!!
This totally worked! Thanks!
Thanks! Going to use this method for a dolly tire. Really appreciate it!
Same. My dolly tires are flat and loose
Thanks! The rope trick definitely worked.
Thanks for sharing this bud. Worked real well.
Thanks...you saved my back, awesome. I used a long screwdriver and a hand pump, took less then 5 minutes.
Thanks, saved me some trouble. I used a ratchet strap too.
Thanks! I have a flat tire on my log splitter and this is my problem. I'm going to go try it right now. Thanks again!
simple yet effective. thanks!
I was looking for a demo on ether sealing with flame. Been awhile since I did that and wanted to review the correct procedure and see if there were any tips. Bingo, there is your idea and darn if it don't work without the need to find the ether (or other flammable gas). Thanks. Been meaning to re-inflate a tire on my wood chipper for the longest time but kept putting it off. Now I can roll that sucker right out of the shed with no problem.
Thank you soooo much!! This method worked like a charm!! You're awesome!!
Excellent repair tip! I was about to take the tire to a shop when I thought I might find some help online. You were it. Your tire inflation technique worked like a charm. Thanks.
It worked for me, all by myself on a 14" wheelbarrow tire, using only a hand pump. And I'm just a 100 lb woman! But I did follow the suggestion that someone made below, to wipe clean the rim and inner edge of the tire with a damp rag, to clean any debris that might prevent a good seal. Thanks very much!!!
Thanks a million followed your direction and fixed my problem. Again Thank you a million.
Thanks! It worked like magic!
Thanks, Buddy ,this procedure also WORKS for fitting a Brand New Tire on an Old Rim. Compressing the tire opens out the opening for easy rollover on the rim.
It worked! Thank you! 🙏🏻
Thanks, this worked like a charm and really helped me out.
thank you,very well presented.
Thank You, I was at the point of taking it to the Tire Store. And I for dang sure wasn't about to try the other way with flammable spray.
Awesome, this fixed mine that i thought for sure I was going to have to replace whole tire as there was no way to pry the damn tire off the base.
That works like a charm thanks!!!
Thanks for the tip, it really worked, thank you man !!
Great tip doublewide.. it worked for me.. thanks
Used your rope + hammer solution, worked for me, Thanks!
Worked! You rule bro thanks
Thanks for the help... but my attempt was a fail... used a snipit of your video to show how to and how not too on my video... will give full credit and link to your channel, Keep up the good work brother! (let me know if there's an issue) Thanks again.
Thank you, worked like a charm. I'm a subscriber now. Thanks again DblWide
Thankyou for this, ratchet strap works pretty good too. Gotta be a little carefull taking it off though
