If you knew anything about islamic history you would know that there is no recorded Islamic history for its first 200 years (I think Ghamidi mentions this also). How can a sane self-respecting person who reads the Quran can believe in such BS is beyond me. There is no such Islamic teachign like that. Quran and Muhammad clearly did a very bad job of explaing how political power should be transfered and how to govern a large empire and that is why the arabs got into the mess that they did.

You should look at the period following Muhammad's death as a time of struggle for political power among the various Arab tribes. There is nothing sacred about it.
