  • Every four years for more than a century, Pittsburgh's Carnegie Museum of Art has invited artists from around the world to bring their work to Pittsburgh for the Carnegie International, the longest-running modern art exhibition in North America. The theme of the 58th International was "Is it Morning for you Yet?"--a question that explored these dynamic and troubling times.
Among the featured artists was Njaimeh Njie, a Pittsburgh-based multimedia artist and filmmaker. Her film "Across the Walls" explores the ways in which incarceration affects not only female prisons but their families and communities as well.
