Did I hear you said' borrowed from the neighbours? Lol! This is a good challenge and I will be jumping on it. I wished this video came up yesterday because I had just came back from shopping now but that's alright, would certainly do it. Your little doctor doing so well. You did it at last.
I like the perspective your husband brought to it. It helps whoever thinks it is impossible to see that it is actually achievable. The video in itself helps to bring clarity and attention to my monthly expenses.
£10 is a lot for a family of 4 per day. I could of brought bacon, rolls and milk for breakfast, spaghetti, rice, 2kg of chicken, sardines, lard for frying, an onion, chilli peppers, red bell pepper, a carrot, polish chicken seasoning, 2 tins of tomatoes and a packet of biscuits with that money from Tesco's. Me and my 4 kids would of eaten like kings and had leftover rice, chicken and spaghetti to cook for another day. People really waste a lot of money on food if they think £10 for food a day is challenging. I spend about £50 a week for me and 4 kids and there is always food in the house and nobody is too skinny here but we eat 3 real meals a day and not all this cakes, crisps etc.
Lovely vlog I sometimes spend less than 10 pounds on weekly grocery I just get bread (not necessarily sliced, sometimes white rolls ) Plantain Apple or banana or tangerine If I need chicken I get it Then pepper mix Chicken and pepper mix are not gotten every week. I use other things I have from my monthly grocery like powdered milk, rice, oil etc.
£10 is an hour wage, for a menial job in uk see, a family fed on an hour wage. While an hour wage is 695 for someone earning 123k, for you to earn 123k in Nigeria that means you're in an average job, the question is can you even buy bread with your hourly wage??
Honestly it’s frustrating when guys in the Uk keep shouting high cost of living, high cost of living. I know someone that came back to Nigeria from the Uk and was so frustrated with the high cost of feeding in Nigeria, she said it herself that Uk is cheap compared to Nigeria. The fact that they keep crying high cost of living means they’ve practically been living and eating for free in the Uk all along🤷🏼♀️ They only just started paying for their food ni If that makes sense.
Ijeoma don’t you think guys living in the uk and shouting high cost of living like you claim are basically living their reality? Those in Nigeria and everywhere else are also screaming high cost of living and no one is persecuting them or getting frustrated. Please let people speak their truth in peace, you don’t know how people both home and abroad are surviving.
@@tochiandcompany you are right but you seem not to understand her point. I agree with your point that people have the right to rant as there is inflation everywhere. But considering her point, there is inflation in Nigeria despite low income and its not even comparable. And "most" of these people say it to discourage people in Nigeria while they remain in the same UK. I think that's the point she was making. It's a fact the inflation there is staggering but it's everywhere and even higher in some places like Nigeria.
Omo this video just made me to throwback to calculating how much i spend in a day. But you tried with the budget and also made a complete meal out of it.
I love this. But without the borrowing ehh, the food no go sweet ohh 😂😂. Your husband is a serious accountant oh. This British life is not a joke. I will definitely try this out 😅
Toch u are amazing thanks for sharing sis.the cost of living in Nigeria is something else u can imagine some family hardly had chicken in three months here you see
I spend an average of £7 on myself a day and this is because I have guilty pleasures like my sweet teeth and other demons however I am not complaining about cost of living as if you have lived well below your earning power then adjusting will be much easier and also I am no more supporting any child ( meaning I don't have anyone below 18 years). Anyway, I salute you on the £10 challenge.
