Actually you don't even need the cutter. You can literally shoot the small stuff off the artifact and just grab it that way. Saves more time. I'd speed-run myself to show it but I don't have the facilities to record that long on my xbox
@Notdrunkenough626 oh right. I signed up to twitch when I used to play ark but never streamed myself... I'm ng10 on starfield so I won't do it again but if you're speed running you can fast travel out of all but 2 artefact spots to save even more time
In the cryo lab (artifact 5 for this run) if you kill the two enemies near the artifact the others will lose interest in you and their red dots will disappear from the compass so you can fast travel from in the artifact room
Badass. When i saw the hunter my mind was blown - didn't even occur to me that certain universes would be faster / valid for running. Cant wait for the sub 30 😆
There’s localized location saving if u bug a door that u try to open (ones with animation) the next time u enter any random door it will teleport you to back to the bugged door
That is what I need to finish the game (A speed run)...since my new saves stopped working at 100 hours on PC. I can still use old saves ...buy it is Basically Groundhog day.
Would it be faster to open your ship scanner and hover over the fast travels while waiting for cargo scans? Rather than opening the map and having to hold travel
I think It is faster but you also risk the game cursor not registering the location when you click it. Still figuring out what works best for me but I’m testing some different builds this weekend!
GOOD but sadly you loose a lot of time once you go out of the ship , probably you didn't know cause it' s not well designed : if you select the map it will open the local map once landed and try to fast travel it will refuse and say : location not discovered BUT if you go back to the planet map then you can fast travel: so you loose approx 1 min for nothing for each artifact which is 6 min... doesn't work for powers where you need to be less than 280m approx
This guy could do it quicker because he walks out of that big building passed all those pirates but you can actually fastbtravel out of almost all of them. You cant fast travel out of the one basic cave (the one without turrets) and the pharmaceutical place until youre outside. But all the rest you can fast travel out of when youre standing next to the artifact 🚀

I played through the whole UC quest line to become citizen one on my first play through. Currently NG+5. Plan on playing through each faction on the lead up to ng+10 before going rogue
The only reason to go all the way to NG+10 is for the final and best starborn spacesuit, the ship caps at NG+6. It is possible that you may be able find extremely more powerful weapons the further you go but don't quote me on that. I stopped at +6 and was able to find the magsniper which is ridiculously powerful, I didn't find it at +1.
@kinggrimm4338 it's all about the glam to me. I usually don't pay attention to dmg on the weapons because I can adjust the difficulty to where I wanna be
Bravo on the speed run! But what is see is that you can't even fly your ship to any location on the planet, that is so lame....so you have to walk of jump boost to the mission.....and that in 2023....wow bethesda.. you did it again...if it is not the outdated engine, then it is something else.
Run temples if you want to rank up your powers. Each power can go up to level 10, bear in mind this means you’ll need to go to each temple with every ng+ meaning 240 temples total. I plan on getting them all to at least level 5 and then ignoring them for the remaining runs. Phased time automatically levels up with each ng+. Hunter or emmisary doesn’t matter until you’re on on your final ng+, whoever you choose to kill before sticking with that universe, you get their gun.
You don't have to equip the cutter, if you just open your scanner and press the right trigger it just auto equips it for you.
But then you still can't do other things like open the door or use power during scanner mode

Awesome speed run just did mine in a little over 50mins.
Also, the glitch where you couldn't put the artifacts in really screwed you. 😭😭

NG+ RNG, keep beating it til you get the universe you want
you can also kill Captain Petrov from afar - this way you skip the dialogue

You can shoot or use a power on the collector to skip his dialogue to shave some seconds too
How do you get the hunter constellation scene? By joining him in the previous run?

Artifacts will be the same locations each ng+ cycle but I believe they are dependent on your initial playthrough.

also u can use ur weapon to clear the metal from the artifact. just spray a rapid fire weapon as you are walking to it for an instant grab!
