I have a LG 43UM6910PUA with black screen with sound working. I opened up the back panel but it has only 2 boards. 1 is power and other I main mother board. There is no TCON board on back panel. The led back light is working fine and full bright but I'm not sure how do I debug. I do have multimeter but not sure how to find faulty component. Could anyone guide me in this regard.

I have a LG 75UK6190PUB 75" low blue screen with sound. Replaced t-con board, Main board and power board. Still blue screen. Disconnected left ribbon cable on t-conn board and I have picture on right side. Reconnected left and disconnected right ribbon cable have all blue screen. Any suggestions of what's going on? Thanks.
I have different problem on LG 49uf7767. Verticall black areas are moving randomly on the screen. Borders are not sharp. Sometimes not totally black as i can see picture below it normally going. Sometimes problem disappears, sometimes areas get bigger and than whole screen goes black and only sound is working. I suspect wrong power supply board. Correct or not? When starting TV, the LG logo appears normally and all screen looks powered, showing grey background. But then on normal channels it starts.
Hello I have a similar problem. Here the description: When I start the tv I can see, like a flash, of the starting of the LG tv. I can see the symbol of LG and all screen illuminated with a blue color. This is like a flash, then the image disappear and the sound starts. When I iluminate with a flash light I see images passing on the tv. I disassembled everything, at first look I find no component damaged. When I am doing the test of the voltage I see the 3.5 V in the two terminals like shown in the video. However, there are some pins I should see 12 V. But they have no power. Is this normal? What do you recommend that I should do next?
Thank you for this video. MY problem is my LG 43UK6470PLC has first lost the picture during watching a recording, then after a while the sound also disappeared. The back backlights are working fine and the remote switches the set on and off (as does the button on the set). I have tried to re-boot the set, tried to reset it (by holding the button pressed for 30 seconds with the power disconnected) - nothing worked. I tried baking the main board without success. Bought a replacement main board with the right serial numbers - no effect. I do not have a separate T-con board - the screen connectors are on the main board. Any suggestions of how to fix it???
Thanks for sharing this. I have an LG 55LM4600 (An LG 55 inch Cinema 3D TV) and it recently stopped working. It responds to the remote control and you can hear sound but there is no picture. The backlight appears to work, as you can see it lit from the back and from the screen itself.
I've tried replacing the t conn board with one I found online and I even "baked" the main board by putting it in the oven (this worked for some people on RUclips). After all of that, I still have the problem. Sound, but no picture, and a working backlight.
Any ideas on what's going on? My next move so far is buying a replacement main board but that may be difficult to find.
Hi , mario justiniano, this happening due to low voltage supply from main board or psu board.
Also due to faulty lvds cable on main board. So please clean dust on main board & cable head and recheck the issues.

I got a LG 49uf772v, with only white / gray static picture.
It doesen matter if it is throug HDMI or the TV smartfuctions.
Menues and HUD has no issues. Sound OK. Also subtitles is displaying as they should…

Hi my lg43uf680v suddenly stopped working properly, it still has sound but the picture is a rainbow of colours diagnally across the screen, however the menu screen still works ok, I've looked this up on the net and came up with the idea it could be the main board, however I don't want to purchase a new main board if this isn't the problem
Clean dust inside of tv and replace lvds cable.
Also check t con board before buying.

Hi. I have a NIKAI LED TV and we have been having this problem where every time you flip the power for both the speakers and the LED tv and when I am about to turn the TV on.
The speakers let a screeching sound to know that the TV is about to be turned on, but instead of showing a picture, it shows a dark screen with a droning screeching noise among the speakers like it failed to power the video screen up.
It has sounds but no video screen.
This is the fourth time it happened and I am getting worried!
It's fourth because sometimes when you turn it on again hours or minutes later, it came back on!
Please advise me on what to do because I will not throw it away due to the crisis we have right now.

What if when your turn on the TV you briefly see the backlogged then it goes black? Do you change the main board or the inverter board?
You know that tv not turning on due to several reasons. So please identify incorrect voltage supply IC on psu or main board .
Then you can decide the replacement parts.

In that case, please open tv’s back cover and check all cables of t con board. Disconnect and reconnect lvds cable and other cables. Clear dust inside of tv. If any difficulties please feel free to ask me. I will be happy to answer them.

Help, LG tv 86SM9070, tv turns on, backlight comes on. After watching TV it fades to black but the back light and sound still work. Just no "picture". Tried different apps(Netflix Hulu,etc) same problem. I've replaced four boards. And nothing has been fixed

My LG LS38 series comes on for only like a second then it goes off again but the sound is intact

Brinda Chowdary I tried replacing the main board but that did not work. I was reading the T-Con board needs to be replaced but I’m still searching for a part number. I wrote LG and they told me to speak with one of their suppliers or one of their approved repair companies. I plan to call Encompass Supply Chain to see if I can get a part number for the T-Con board (if my tv has one). If It becomes too much of a pain to deal with, the tv is going in the garbage. Regardless, I won’t buy another LG product

Hi lilAsuka, thanks for reaching out to here. Tv screen black due to three different reasons.
1. Bad backlit problem
2. Tcon board problem/ bad Lvds cable problem.
3. Inverter board problem.
So please check tv screen with any torch 🔦 light. If your see any image inside the tv screen that’s mean tv backlit problem.
If not see any images on tv screen that is indicate bad tcon board/ lvds cable/ inverter board .
However any further information need please let me know.

Kindly press the menu button and if shows menu on TV screen then increase the TV brightness. If not show any thing then TV back lit problem.

My 2015 LG 55" 4K TV turns on a you can search everything but once you go to connect to a live channel or app channel the screen turns fuzzy. The sound still works. What seems to be the issue. I also tried to update the TV which is stuck on 03.16.00. Please help
Hi Michael, this is happening due to loose connection of the channel port.
Please disconnect all external cables and connect again tightly.
If not work then unplug the tv and channel box power cable from outlet for few minutes. And recheck again.

When the hdmi is plugged into the TV and it shows that there is something plugged into the HDMI port but when it tries to connect to that input main screen, the screen turns fuzzy. It has sound but fuzzy picture. The same with websearch browser. The screen and sound are clear but as soon as you go to watch a video etc, the screen turns fuzzy. It is an LG 55uf6450

Hi Michael h, remove all external devices from tv and power cable from wall.
Also unplug power plug from external devices. And check your electric outlet 🏬. Replace it if faulty .
Kindly check your external devices with another tv and also Check your tv hdmi port.
If everything is ok then use hdmi adapter . Better not using any multiport hdmi cable.

I really don't get with these tv companies they think what they created will never stop working... if they could give away schematic diagram with tv n make parts available what wrong in it..these companies are really so sick.
The old tvs (tubes) are better and last for ever.They had to find a way to screw people.
