Hi, neighbor from Dunnellon! Thank you so much for watching. You live where I will most likely be moving to. Either Dunnellon or Ocala. We'll be camping in our RV until we find a good piece of land. Welcome to the channel!
I’m in 9b as wellApopka FL. Your Roselle look awesome. I had approx 20 calyx that were devoured by the tree rats (squirrels) in a matter of 2 days once they discovered them. 😢
Hi neighbor! Thank you; I've seen bite marks on some of mine too. Those squirrels are out of control. I share your struggle. They've pulled off every single Meyer lemon that has ever formed on my lemon tree (in 4 years I've never gotten to harvest one because they keep pulling them off and tossing them on the ground after realizing they're not appetizing). Grr.
Kudos for regrowing store bought celery and onion! Everything looks great Thank you for sharing your amazing garden. Are you moving to a different growing zone? I am in central florida zone 9b too.
Thank you so much for watching! Yes, I have gotten great results from regrowing from food scraps. I'm currently in 9b, moving to 9a (Ocala). Do you grow as well?
Just got into the growing game here in 9b. Good to see what works how often do you water the container plants? How do you keep them alive when on vacation?
Thank you for watching, and welcome to the world of growing your own food! In the dryer warm/hot months I'll water every two days or so. In the summer, the rains usually take care of the watering. In the dryer fall/winter months the pots have less water evaporation so I'll water every 4-5ish days. I'll put a finger about 1-2 inches into the soil and if it feels dry I'll water (or if I lift the pot and it feels light I'll water). If you can set up an inexpensive drip irrigation system for your containers while you're on vacation, that would be ideal. They sell them on Amazon or online.
Thank you so much, Anna! I started the Everglades from seed in July, so it's been about 3 months now. I started them in little seedling trays and up-potted them as they got bigger. When did you start yours? I added compost and Epsom salt to the soil mix when I transplanted them. I'd normally also add bone meal and blood meal but didn't have any at the time.
wow
Excellent setup
Great harvest keeping in view that you have grown in containers

Love your channel! I’m in 9b in North Tampa. When did you start the Everglades? In ground or seedlings? Mine are not even blooming yet 😂
