Ask the Expert - Dave Steele, The Blind Poet

This week we give a warm welcome to Dave Steele, the Blind Poet.
Dave was diagnosed as having Retinitis Pigmentosa (RP) in 2014 when he was 38.
Dave shares his experience of being
diagnosed and the awful impacts that having RP made to his life and family life.
The topic of conversation quickly turns when we discuss how Dave turns these negatives into a positive. Dave has become a huge inspiration to many giving, giving talks to others with RP and changing the lyrics to Stand by Me, as he was singer.
Dave then decided to take the good and bad points from living with sight loss and noted every point, hence becoming “The Blind Poet”.
A true inspiration of which we're sure many can relate to.
