I'm excited for the Werewolf by Night reaction. I personally think Phase 4 of Marvel had a lot more hits than misses, and Werewolf by Night is right near the top for me.

11:14 the name Slott on the tow truck is a nod to a former She-Hulk writer Dan Slott. Also I understand how Daredevil seems out of place if you’ve only watched the Netflix series but his character is actually very light hearted and comedic at times, depending on who is writing him he’ll either come across like the Daredevil you see in the series or like a wise cracking, swashbuckling hero similar to how Spider-Man is portrayed. Personally I really enjoyed seeing this side of the character as you don’t get to see it at all in the Netflix series
Fun fact: Charlie Cox is the most Fan Boyish actor for his own character in the MCU. There's an adorable video of him at a con when someone gifts him a helmet and he's so happy about it. Also, I'm surprised that they did a "Fridged" joke.
2:30 In this scene, Nikki makes a Wolverine reference when she puts the makeup brushes in between her fingers. There was also a reference early on in the series with a newspaper about a man with claws in a bar fight. Then Jen mentions “a Hulk but this one’s red” as a tease of Captain America: Brave New World.
@@kaiielle That show had some made-for-TV spinoff films that featured the first live action appearance of Daredevil, Thor, and also Kingpin. They were cheesy enough for a deep dish pizza, but still hold a special place for kids of a certain age. (me)

Many people have said how much they liked the homage to the Hulk TV Series with Bill Bixby & Lou Ferrigno. So I’m curious to know; would you ever consider doing a reaction to selected episodes of The Incredible Hulk TV Series voted on by your subscribers and fans?
You mentioned you would skip this whenever you do MCU rewatch, but I wonder if maybe a 2nd time around would change your opinion (even if only slightly). I definitely gained some appreciation 'rewatching' it through RUclips reactors like you. (And like you, I thought the 'retreat/therapy' episode was the best, and honestly feel it is genuinely excellent)
She-Hulk takes place post Endgame obviously, so it's 2023 or later, whereas the Netflix Daredevil takes place post The Battle of New York, so 10ish years earlier.
Cheers, Happy Weekend, and Happy Holidays to our lovely Hostess Kaiielle and to all Y'all out there who appreciate this awesome show. 🥃☮❤ I love how Jen seizes the narrative here and quite literally breaks through the fourth wall. I get that not everyone appreciated it, but it's one of the reasons this is my third-favourite MCU show. Also, I really need She-Hulk and Deadpool to interact at some point before I keel over. 😉😁
It wasn't a bad show. Yes it could've been better. But also have to think of the impossible task of making everyone satisfied. Kind of a hard thing to do. Despite all that. Of making everyone happy. I think things considering. It wasn't a bad show.
I liked this show, and I like that it poked fun at the hyperserious fanbois who do tend to ruin everything by having way-too-deep discussions/arguments about how they want to interpret stories. They can't just enjoy them, they have to turn them into a religious contest, and rage at anyone who thinks otherwise. Plus, for the first time Marvel was trying to have a woman-centric show (notice I didn't say "female") and how their lives work - with the continual comparison to male expectations. The superhero genre can't help but be formulaic, as they note at the end. So much so that changing that and trying to tell a different story seems nonsensical. To a point, it's always been "what would you do with superpowers?" Some feel above the law, some feel they don't need to fear punishments, some know they can now make a difference, and some don't want the "gifts" and would rather get back to their normal lives. Bruce insisting that Jen now MUST be a superhero is stating that expectation, when she wants to ignore it. But, in the end, you end up with Vision's observation in Civil War, "our very strengths invite challenge". However, Jen's strength from the beginning was a legal mind, and the intent to use it. I think it was actually better that she DIDNT need to Hulk out, just like she said in the opening scene.
Finally, you said it right it not your "Cup of tea" this show like me i didnt hate it but like you said you wont rewatch it again. Thanks for the reaction. See you on Phase 5 next year. Happy Hollidays and Happy New year.
She-Hulk is part of a VERY specific vibe and style of sitcom that I love, and I think maybe most people just weren't prepared for it to be part of the MCU? Better Off Ted is one of the greatest sitcoms ever made. It's about a massive super corporation that's like a mash-up of Walmart, Tesla, Apple, Microsoft, Boston Dynamic, Lockheed-Martin, etc. It's a nebulous, morally suspicious company that's purely profit driven and oblivious to ideas of morality. It's not INTENTIONALLY evil, but it also doesn't understand the concept of being good. The show is about the "normal" people working in the R&D department for this company developing random products for the company. They're cogs in the machine, trying to make sense of the will of the faceless corporation that they work for. Ted is their benevolent and charismatic boss who tries to protect them from the company, and tries to ensure that the company isn't doing obvious evil. Ted's boss is a woman who is sort of an in-between between the faceless company and the "normal people" who work for the company. She's SO indoctrinated by the company that she doesn't really question it, but she interacts with Ted so much that she's learned to sort of half-way understand his morals and VAGUELY comprehends normal human stuff. It's a whole show about this absurdly heightened office environment directly adjacent to insane super science experiments, and goofy hapless super scientists trying to do what the company wants, and Ted being the only TRULY normal and reasonable human trying to essentially herd cats. It's great. And then there was a show called Powerless. Powerless was a show set in the DC Universe, and was about a branch of Wayne Enterprises run by Bruce Wayne's vain goofy inept cousin (played by Alan Tudyk). They're a branch of Wayne Enterprises focusing on developing super science stuff to help protect civilians from super villains, and gear for superheroes to use when saving the city, and other wacky stuff like that. Again, an office setting featuring a bunch of goofy super scientists, and Vanessa Hudgens as pretty much the only "normal" person, but she's new and trying to figure out how to deal with the craziness. Not nearly as great as Better Off Ted, but still fun. Light, fun, goofy. She-Hulk falls PERFECTLY into that genre of goofy office comedy of a "normal" main character trying to deal with both big very corporate overlords, AND a zoo of wacky super science/superpower shenanigans. I really appreciate it for that. I think the whole Intelligencia/Tinder subplot is the main weakpoint for the season. That and the CGI not being quite as great as it needs to be. Other than that, I pretty much love it. I love getting to see all the derpy niche Marvel characters. I love getting to see all the mundane day to day ground-level nonsense of living in a world full of superheroes and supervillains. Also, for the record: K.E.V.I.N. is likely a manifestation of The One Above All - the most powerful entity in the whole of the Marvel Multiverse. The being that even the true gods answer to. The One Above All is essentially a self-insert in-universe manifestation of Marvel itself (the writers, the artists, Stan Lee, Disney, Kevin Feige, the executives, etc). When Marvel et al want to DIRECTLY step in and interact with the Marvel Universe/Multiverse, it's in the form of The One Above All. In the comics TOAA most frequently took the form of Jack Kirby. It's thought that Stan Lee's many cameos across the MCU MIGHT be manifestations of TOAA.
I'm a huge Daredevil fan, so obvs the episodes with him were great. I like to think that post-blip Matt is in a good point in his life, not like when he was struggling with starting a new firm and dealing with Kingpin and ninjas. Maybe he'll invite Jen to New York and they can go watch Rogers: The Musical on Broadway! Anyways, if you really like Charlie Cox, I have to insist that you watch Stardust. He is *so* adorable, and the movie is fantastic.
I liked this show a lot but I knew since you didn't love guardians for it's silliness that it wouldn't be for you, and it wasn't for a lot of people but that tracks with her comics and it's okay to make smaller things for smaller portions of the audience, especially on streaming, I do agree tho it was a weird abrupt way to introduce skarr 😂
For the end with Bruce’s son, Skaar, you have to remember that Hulk was on sakaar for 2 years as the hulk and since time works differently there well it was probably a lot more than 2 years for him and we don’t know what happened in that time but apparently while he was there Hulk did the deed and had an Hulk like son and since again time works differently there his son had time to grow so that’s why he has a son out of nowhere hope this helps
I highly recommend watching Corridor Crew's effects breakdown on this show. They point out that the CG in it is *excellent*, but the problem is that unlike Hulk, She-Hulk is a lot harder to make look convincing. Women's faces are generally a lot smoother than men's, so there are a lot fewer little details to sell you on its authenticity. Add onto that the fact that Hulk had several years and several full=fledged movie budgets' worth or work put into him, She-Hulk tends to be a harder look to pull off convincingly for some people (I personally have no problem with it myself, but I understand the uncanny valley hits some people harder than others).
I thought this show was adorable. I suppose that's not exactly high praise in the grand scheme of things, but I really enjoy it. I'm a sucker for meta humor anyway and maybe I'm a little fangirly for Jen. Anyway, I reckon the show has its audience, and maybe that audience is just me, but it's certainly not as actually bad as many people have said. I didn't love it, but I'd probably watch it again.
40:00 Yah not even just a budget issue, this was also made early on during covid, which as you already know.. tons of shows went through production hell. So yah the cgi wasn’t very consistent, things were either rushed or probably had few people on board to get it done.
I enjoyed the show overall. Honestly Jen saying she smashes 4th walls and Matt Murdock is probably my favorite joke in the entire mcu. Also I have to give the show props for being self aware enough to make incel redditors the main villains, like they're going to complain anyway, might as well have fun with it.
14:02 Also I do remember you commenting about the yellow suit when you first saw the mask but it is based on a comic book suit. I think for Daredevil: Born Again, he’ll return with a red suit though. (Which I’m happy about because I just think of Ronald McDonald whenever I see the yellow suit)
I definitely don't hate this show as much as some, but I still wouldn't include it on any highlight reels. I enjoyed it for what it was, a fun little legal-adjacent superhero comedy that pokes fun at some of the worst aspects of fandom.
10:58 I love when comic book adaptations take an absurd character and keep them just as ridiculous in the adaptation, sometimes it’s appropriate to full-send it😭
I thought the series was a fun tone change, but get your stance on it. And totally agree about the cgi inconsistencies. I think the show had all the right ingredients to make it great but also had some extra people/plots that diluted it, coupled with no compelling antagonist. Wong forever tho!
I didn’t like how this show blamed Feige/MARVEL and the fans for the choices they made in writing the show. They wrote poorly on purpose specifically to shift the blame. That was the primary throughline. That’s why it’s bad. People blame Kevin for getting in the way, but this show proves how he doesn’t get in the way. But he learned a lesson as a result.
Glad to hear you’re enjoying Daredevil, also the beginning of the last episode is how the original Hulk show was as the intro. Hope that’s not a spoiler, not sure if you’re planning on watching that, but it was a call back. I didn’t enjoy the show either, from the moment she said she’s better than Bruce, like way to speed run people disliking you as a character. Very childish and felt like a kid in need of a lesson.
Don’t worry about Matt being unfaithful. All of Daredevil takes place years ago. Probably between 2015-2018 or between accurately between Winter Soldier and Infinity War.
I'm a guy, so I wondered if this would hit differently for a woman. Apparently not. 😄 Not everything is made for me, or my demographic, I get it and am not bothered by it. Some people can't handle that, which I think is funny. Ms Marvel isn't for me either, but I liked it much better than She Hulk. Anyway, I just wondered if it appealed to women more so than me. Welp, not this woman at least. On to the next one!
Yes, there were some good moments in this show that I enjoyed! Here's the thing.. as I'm watching something for the first time, I'm always trying to enjoy it in the moment, because who wants to watch a reaction where someone is picking everything apart without knowing what's to come? I always give everything a chance to win me over. My final opinion on any movie or show that I give is after I've sat and reflected on everything I watched. I had said in the last video, after Episode 6, that the show was kind of turning "meh" for me. I mentioned the "meh" thing again at some point during this video, before my final opinion.
Thank you so much for your reactions. Honestly, this is the first time I’ve seen a full reaction to the show. I’ve only saw bits and pieces of other reactors. But since you’re one of my top favorite reactors, I just saw all of them with you. I haven’t seen the show since it premiered. And trust me, rumors about “that one particular” character is what made the majority of people stick with it. And when he showed up on THAT episode, we felt like it was worth it. Mostly because outside of that one tiny cameo in that big movie, we hadn’t had any content of that character in literally years. Had THAT character never shown up or be rumored to be in it, I think people would’ve tossed She Hulk aside waaay quicker. I like the actress and the character. But I think she needs better writing. And perhaps be a part of a team/ensemble for next time. It’s gonna be rough to sell another She Hulk solo anything for a long time! Thank you for sticking with the MCU. There are a few more “rough” spots. But trust me, there are also very bright and amazing comebacks too! And you get the full context and enjoyment of knowing every character, reference and whatnot! And your commentary is always a joy to watch!
When I finished She-Hulk I could not decide if I loved or hated the ending. Ultimately the rest of the show was generally "fine." It is not a show that I would probably watch again unless it is reaction but even then I think this is the only reaction of the show I have actually watched. After a few days I finally decided that I hated the ending. I didn't like that they resolved none of the stories naturally and just made a joke about the whole show. Having her break out of her show and go into the next level of reality to speak to KEVIN just feels completely out of place and an absolutely absurd ability to have. Breaking the 4th wall as deadpool does is one thing but actually affecting your own reality from another dimension is a whole other thing that really diminishes the entirety of the MCU. Now the MCU is just a show within a show which I think cheapens the concept immensely. I understand why they did it but full heartedly believe it was the wrong choice. My expectation for the one behind Intelligencia was also The Leader, Samuel Sterns from The Incredible Hulk returning, but alas they wasted that and made it "HulkKing". So much wasted potential overall is how I felt at the end of the show.
I really like the show, but I really didn't like the final episode. This wasn't a quick aside to the camera--this was most of the episode saying "yeah, we know this is stupid", but then not really doing anything about it. Calling something out but not really doing anything about it negates calling it out. That said, again, I really like the series. I don't really see it as a sitcom; it's funny in spots, but I don't feel that it really has the sitcom sensibilities. I mean, things don't just go back to status quo at the end of an episode, decisions have consequences, and so on. One of my absolutely favorite things is how, with eerie, prescient, and downright _sad_ accuracy, it predicted the outcry of the "Intelligencia"-esque trolls of the audience. I remember when this first came out, the things they were saying about She-Hulk in-universe in, what, the second or third episode were the _exact_ things the trolls were saying about the show. It was truly a classic case of "if you're offended, then yes they're talking about you, and you should rethink your life-choices". I really think these sorts are why it has such a low rating on Letterbox. I mean, the conversation about rage at the beginning between Jen and Bruce--the trolls _lost_ their blooming _minds._ It was sad yet hilarious to watch. To no one's surprise, the trolls didn't learn anything. All that aside, I agree about the characters being generally forgettable. I _like_ the other characters, but, you know--I can't remember their names and if I never saw them again I wouldn't really complain. Incidentally, this series made me a fan of Megan Thee Stallion. She had such a great sense of humor about herself and about the show. I still haven't actually heard any of her music, but I pay attention to her commercials and interviews. I agree the animation wasn't the best, but I don't really care. I mean, the budget was smaller and they had to spread it around pretty thinly, so I didn't mind. It wasn't, like, Web 1.0 Flash animation, so I'm good, y'know? 🙂 Lastly, I have to say, the bits with Matt--I wasn't fond of them. I'm just not a fan of that interpretation of the character. Although I absolutely adore the acting, I didn't like what the show did to some characters, and the portrayal--that isn't a guy I'd want to come save me if I was getting my butt whupped. I mean, he's certainly easy on the eyes, and I fully agree with Jen skipping the dinner-and-a-date part, but--eh. I realize I'm in the very, _very_ small minority with that opinion. 😅 I'm glad you watched the series. I like that you have a no-skip policy. I feel like saying "don't watch " is kind of meaningless. How can you really know whether you would or wouldn't like something? Besides, it's part of it all. I don't like some MCU movies outright, and I won't rewatch them any time soon, but I'm glad I saw them so I got a fuller appreciation for and understanding of the MCU as a whole, and could form informed opinions on what I do and don't like about where the franchise may or may not be heading. Besides, disagreements can be fun and interesting. One person liking a thing and another person disliking it is the start of a good conversation and an exchange of ideas. 🏳🌈🖖
What bothers me about this finale is, that it feels as though they're being self aware as a defense mechanism against critique. But if you're gonna be like "Hey, we know this show hasn't really been all that good.", then why don't you just make a better show to begin with. It really boggles my mind. Just because something is self aware, does not mean that that negates all of the negative aspects that thing has to begin with. That's just my two cents.
as much as you it wasn't your cup of tea, it was nice to see a reaction that was giving valid criticisms/opinions on the show (when the show released, it was quite hell on twitter/reddit with... toxic people basically acting like those guys in intelligencia). I am looking forward to see your reactions to the next shows/movies!!
I enjoyed the show. Was it my fav? Not by a long shot, but it was still good. The pacing of the show seemed like a hit or miss at times, but for the most part (for me) it was good. Loved Jen Walters, plus the show gave a little screentime to some of the more obscure Marvel characters that otherwise wouldn't have ever shown up in a movie (Leap Frog, Man-Bull, Mr. Immortal just to name a few). And if you thought Daredevil seemed out of place because of how serious he is in the Netflix show, (without giving spoilers) Pug was even more of a shock (well, seeing the actor who plays Pug) because of who the actor plays in the show 'Arrow'.
I'm a sub but have not been watching. I just don't wanna revisit She-Hulk yet. Daredevil is like one of my top 3 of all time. I don't know that I love him in this but Matt does have a thing with all the ladies in Marvel. ☺
No spoilers, Daredevil isn't cheating on anyone. I love this show still for how much it dunks on incel idiots outwardly and discusses a woman's perspective of the world broadening my worldview as a man, even though it's through a silly comic book show. I love seeing perspectives other than my own to better understand other peoples' experiences.
Yeah, it's mindblowing to me that a story about a woman that discusses experiences that lots of women go through and can relate to is seen as "anti-male". 😂 Trash people exist across all genders!
@@kaiielleTo people unaware of their position and privilege, presentation of a viewpoint that questions that position and privilege is frequently interpreted as hostility and/or oppression.
She-Hulk was Deadpool before Deadpool. She was created as a commentary on female characters in comics, as well as a fourth-wall breaking goofy character. Now that she’s in the MCU, she’s now a commentary on Marvel movies as a whole. If they fix the plot issues and the strange editing, this could be an amazing show to keep bringing back. They’re just scared because fragile men are fragile.
Well you won't have to worry about a 2nd season, or probably seeing She-hulk again, the Incels won that battle. It wasn't great, but it for damn sure wasn't as bad as so many made it out to be.
It's unfortunate that kind of "criticism" about shows results in that. Same thing with The Acolyte in Star Wars, which I actually didn't mind all that much.
The problem is that…just because you admit that your show is trash…DOESNT EXCUSE IT FROM BEING TRASH! Why not focus on making a genuinely good show instead of going for a lame meta-jokey thing..ugh
@SilentBob731 no, they really didn't... A super hero show is only as good as it's antagonist. Not only did they waste Titania by making her a Kardashian, but the ultimate big bad was internet trolls. They had so little faith in the show that they assumed the internet would hate it. So they tried to preemptively attack the critics.
@@SilentBob731odd that me making a valid criticism means I'm the problem. It's telling that your only defense is to attack me personally. The fact of the matter is I love Jen in the comics, I love Tatiana, and Ally McBeal was one of my favorite shows in high school. I've read comics since I learned how to read and I actually went to law school. I should be this show's target audience. But it completely missed the mark. They completely misunderstood Jen fundamentally and they didn't trust the character to carry her own show. As Jen herself points out, there is literally a guest star in EVERY EPISODE. The show just isn't good. There's nothing wrong with that. Every idea won't land. It's just disappointing.
My understanding is they had 2 or 3 CGI studios manage the effects, because of the time crunch they blame on COVID, instead of poor planning on their part. There were obvious flaws when Kevin Feige was promoted to managing so much that he couldn't closely monitor Marvel as well as he had previously. It seems like after awhile they figured it out but we will see how thet recover if they ever do.
This show was so disappointing because, overall, it was awful. Yet it had some really great moments, and that combination of bad show/great moments is just disheartening, because it feels like you can see its potential, but it just let you down.
This series did have a lot of entertaining moments, but overall irked me. It portrays nearly every male other than Matt, the lawyer friend at the new firm and the retreat group as total assholes and pieces of crap. All the "dates", all the clients, Josh, the whole internet hate group... ALL of them are horrible human beings. This show came out in the height of Marvel's "woke phase" and it shows. Because woke culture is toxic. It's more about man hate than it is about supporting women.
That's a lot of supportive male characters you have to put on the exception list in order to make the idea that "this show hates men" work. Characters like Pug and Jen's dad were always supportive of her. I'd also make the argument that pediatric oncologist Jen dated wasn't a horrible person. He never met "Jen" until after they slept together. He clearly had a type and didn't find Jen attractive at all. While yes, there's more to attraction than just physical appearance, it does still play a part. The guy could have handled the situation more tactfully, but truthfully, would you want to be with a guy who doesn't find you physically attractive half the time? Also: "It's more about man hate than it is about supporting women." I don't see how anyone can watch episode 7 and still say that. It was literally an all-male group supporting a woman.
@@UnusedIcon Name a single competent male antagonist in this entire series. You can't. They are all one-note, misogynistic and mainly clowns to a one. The only reason the oncologist wasn't bad was because we were supposed to be fooled by how well it was going until the reveal of him being yet another flawed male. This show paints a picture that if a man is bad it's because he's a man and not that he happens to be one. There's no need to argue this as it's my opinion and it won't change.
@Linerunner99 You are aware what the definition of "antagonist" is, right? Why are you complaining that male ANTAGONISTS in this show are not good men? 😂
@@kaiielle Because they aren't just the bad guys. They are shown to be womanizers, woman haters and other things that aren't typical "villain" behavior in superhero stories. Most of them aren't even criminals, just shitty dudes. The whole show is women vs. men (with the exception of Titania) because they are just bad at being men, not villains. The "main bad guy" is out to get her blood so he can be a hulk, yes... BUT why did he never try that on Bruce? Is it because "Oh this one is a woman, it'll be easier to get it from her"? See the pattern here?
I was actually surprised to hear you say the show isn't for you. I was really baffled this whole time because I thought for sure it was not your style, but you seemed to be enjoying it way more than I thought you would. I thought it was pretty good on my first watch, except for the awful A.I. ending, but I have to say that watching it again has me cringing at almost all of it. I think I may have tried to enjoy it out of spite the first time just because I'm also sick of all the bros crying "M-She-U."
I always give a series or a movie its full chance. I was hopeful that I'd enjoy it after the first 3 episodes. Then after the middle three, I was like "Hmmm maybe this isn't my thing, but hey still have 3 episodes to go." In this video, yes definitely some things I enjoyed about these episodes, but overall forgettable and not something I'd really want to sit through again.

Matt Murdock literally fell out of the sky in that last scene.
Not everyone writes Daredevil like he’s stuck in a Frank Miller graphic novel. Matt and Jennifer have had a fun relationship since the early 90’s

Her expression right after saying that, with the thumbs up, was such a great moment.
Perhaps! We'll see when the time comes.
The thing that was “wrong” with Leapfrog’s outfit is that he doesn’t realize “inflammable” and “nonflammable” don’t mean the same thing.
She-Hulk takes place post Endgame obviously, so it's 2023 or later, whereas the Netflix Daredevil takes place post The Battle of New York, so 10ish years earlier.
Yeah I realized that when I edited the watchalong for this, then felt silly. 😅
PS> I absolutely love that you want to watch all the films/shows and form your own opinion, and you stand up for your principles. Kudos to you!
Cheers, Happy Weekend, and Happy Holidays to our lovely Hostess Kaiielle and to all Y'all out there who appreciate this awesome show. 🥃☮❤
I love how Jen seizes the narrative here and quite literally breaks through the fourth wall.
I mean, even really really good movies (generally speaking), you'll always find someone who doesn't like it for certain reasons.
I do not understand the hate this show got. It’s kind been my favorite. Gotta see more Tatiana Maslany. Love her!
She is a good actress, but the writers screwed up She-Hulk series and Secret Invasion series.
Wow! A KL Marvel holiday extravaganza. The gift that keeps on giving. Much appreciated! Have a great holiday season!
Thanks for siting through the whole show even when you weren't enjoying it.
Charlie is a really cool dude, and I was taken back by hearing his original accent, when I met him. He was also super nice.
Yep, makes sense! Thanks!
Matt was easily the highlight of the series for me. Him and Madysinn...😅
My grandfather, my uncle, and my cousin are all Josh's...😢
I think your reaction mirrors what many people think exactly. 👍
I'm glad this show is loved by many! Just wasn't totally for me.
I think the last episode was brilliant
I definitely don't hate this show as much as some, but I still wouldn't include it on any highlight reels. I enjoyed it for what it was, a fun little legal-adjacent superhero comedy that pokes fun at some of the worst aspects of fandom.
People saying that She-Hulk series is awful. But we know it was the writers fault for screwed up that series and Secret Invasion series.
10:58 I love when comic book adaptations take an absurd character and keep them just as ridiculous in the adaptation, sometimes it’s appropriate to full-send it😭
I'm still holding out for Squirrel Girl (talk about absurd!). Preferably with Milana Vayntrub as was intended for the canceled sitcom.
The Intro for the last Episode was a Take on the 70's TV Hulk show.
I thought the series was a fun tone change, but get your stance on it. And totally agree about the cgi inconsistencies. I think the show had all the right ingredients to make it great but also had some extra people/plots that diluted it, coupled with no compelling antagonist.
Wong forever tho!
Always Wong forever!
I also watch few sitcoms. The last one I REALLY enjoyed was You're the Worst. Highly recommend.
Need those Daredevil reactions! Season 4 comes out early next year.
Yes! It's going to be a while before I watch S3 (watching those shows in a timeline order - currently in S3 of Agents of SHIELD).
Daredevil Born Again is not season 4
watch series because daredevil ( Charlie cox)
I didn’t like how this show blamed Feige/MARVEL and the fans for the choices they made in writing the show. They wrote poorly on purpose specifically to shift the blame. That was the primary throughline.
That’s why it’s bad.
People blame Kevin for getting in the way, but this show proves how he doesn’t get in the way. But he learned a lesson as a result.
Loved this series and gutted we won't get another
Glad to hear you’re enjoying Daredevil, also the beginning of the last episode is how the original Hulk show was as the intro. Hope that’s not a spoiler, not sure if you’re planning on watching that, but it was a call back. I didn’t enjoy the show either, from the moment she said she’s better than Bruce, like way to speed run people disliking you as a character. Very childish and felt like a kid in need of a lesson.
Rewatching this show via you I appreciated this all the more. I loved they did a sitcom. I wish it wasn't one and done.
I LOVE this show... Josh is biggest villain of the MCU!!!
I love that this show truly leaned into Matt flirty side.
I'm sure tons of women like this show, just wasn't totally for me! Appreciate you watching.
Speaking of sitcoms did you catch that Jen's dad is from the show Perfect Strangers? He plays Larry in that.
Haven't seen that one!
We are so happy, we do the dance of joy...
Wong is binging Sopranos. He is smack dab in the middle of peak TV.
def not peak.
More like, the ability to binge watch so many different things.
But.. But.. You liked it when it went on. You vibed and related and had fun. How is it not good then?
💚
12:34 There he is. The leader of Defenders and Hell's Kitchen protector himself: Matt Murdock.
Lastly, I have to say, the bits with Matt--I wasn't fond of them. 😅
I'm glad you watched the series.
I agree, to be honest. I def would have preferred a solidly written show.
as much as you it wasn't your cup of tea, it was nice to see a reaction that was giving valid criticisms/opinions on the show (when the show released, it was quite hell on twitter/reddit with... toxic people basically acting like those guys in intelligencia).
HOORAY! Now this is where it goes OFF RAILS!
@inspectre27 A true statement right there!
27:33 “HulkKing” a reference to HulkLING/Teddy Altman who Billy Kaplan/Wiccan’s husband in the comics 😁
I did not come for She-Hulk, I came for KL. You are in a very big camp of putting this one on the bottom, lol
So I've come to learn. 😂
No actual attorney would sign an NDA without at least reading it first....
The problem is that…just because you admit that your show is trash…DOESNT EXCUSE IT FROM BEING TRASH! Why not focus on making a genuinely good show instead of going for a lame meta-jokey thing..ugh
Pointing out that you wrote a bad ending doesn't make up for the fact that you wrote a bad ending. Just write a better ending...
And then they did write a better ending.
@SilentBob731 no, they really didn't...
A super hero show is only as good as it's antagonist. Not only did they waste Titania by making her a Kardashian, but the ultimate big bad was internet trolls. They had so little faith in the show that they assumed the internet would hate it. So they tried to preemptively attack the critics.
@@havok6280 Sorry, did you feel called out personally by the narrative? I guess it worked then.
@havok6280 I agree. I would have preferred a better written show here instead of just being extremely self-aware at the end.
I’d love to see Jennifer again but everything else about the show can go lol
I just wish they had canceled the show at the end of episode 8 & tied up some of the story elements then.
I agree with what you said, aside from the last two sentences. I cannot stand how the meaning of "woke" has changed so drastically. So unfortunate.
Previously on a crap show... More crap!
Don't even try to pretend that this is good
