    a couple things i didn’t mention:
    1. There’s the possibility of Iga succumbing to the pressure of being the big favorite and winning for her country. She’s had emotional moments at the 2021 Tokyo Games and both United Cups 👀
    2. Coco will be playing singles, doubles AND mixed so with all that tennis she could encounter burnout 😮‍💨

      Also she hasn't competed much since Roland Garros. Only 3 matches on grass. Too much time off. She might be stale. Don't have a good feeling about how she'll perform.

    Coco playing singles doubles and mixed doesnt seem like a big deal, just look at her physicality she will be fine. I think the williams sisters did it, doubles doesnt take that much time, it can be treated as a practice session.

      I think Coco is still young and physically fit to handle it. She is also not prone to injury so it shouldn't affect her adversely.
      I just pray she comes back with a medal 🙏

    I can't see Iga not winning the gold medal 🎉 She will be fresh, focused, and unstoppable. If she doesn't win gold that will be the upset of the century 😮 For me silver and bronze are up for grabs. I like your picks. 😊 Emma is very consistent, and cool under pressure. I believe the ladies will be ready to play, and the upside for Coco is a lot of the top 10 are not playing. I will definitely be cheering Coco on to medal. I am so happy she gets to be a flag bearer for the Olympics! Congratulations Coco!!! She will be fresh too. She is used to playing a lot of tennis. I feel it helps her. I also feel her strategy is to win at least 2 medals. I have to Google who she is playing with in mixed doubles 😂 I didn't know she playing mixed doubles too. Glad to know Gilbert will not be in town. My other picks for possible medals are Collins, Paolini, and Zheng. Ostapeneka has the game to medal but she needs a mental coach. I believe she is her worst enemy. 😔Others I will be cheering on is Naomi Osaka 🎉 She may have missed her chance for a medal. 😔

    Aside from Iga, Coco is probably the best clay courter out there. In the last 5 years at RG, she has only lost to the winner of the tournament. I think she will make it to the final round. I agree Iga will most likely win as clay is her surface and she is not playing other disciplines. Still rooting for Coco puff all the way.
    I do think you have it wrong here with Ostapenko. She has had a really solid season and I see her at least making it to the QF. I would LOVE to see her vs Swiatek on clay.

    So as a Iga fan I definitely think no one is stopping her on clay. But I do want to remain neutral and see how things progress for Iga with each match. Now considering this is the Olympics I am torn with this decision because I do want one or two of the Americans to medal. Coco will have to have her A game ready and I wish all the American women the best of luck at the Games! Meanwhile we do want to observe the DC draw when it comes out and see how the other Americans who didn’t participate on clay do on hardcourt. It will give a preview to how some of the top players do as we approach the final slam of the year at the US Open.

    She’s my girl, however, Coco is not making it to the second week. Her style of play with no strategy tactic will always be her down fall. I feel she needs to take a break from doubles and really progress in her game, especially her forehand. She needs to drop down from being number 2. Even though she says she doesn’t care about the rankings it’s just a number, she really needs that boost of to expanding another level, maybe new couch? Just my opinion.

  • @deusexmachina9776

    Iga not only has pressure from being a clay queen but family pressure cuz her dad failed to get a medal, fulfiling a parent's dream maybe the thing that costs her cuz her RG slams are just for herself. Schnider won a 500 grass title and a 250 clay title next week, she may cause trouble for Iga. Ostapenko would defeat Iga but it is hard to rely on her to reach the QFs. Noskova didnt build the consistency needed to take out Iga, she tends to fade away after AO swing, fitness is still not where it needs to be and no title yet this year reminds me of young Sabalenka and Kvitova.

Miss Gauff has never been ranked number one in her sport. To have her be the flag bearer ahead of reigning world champions and other females being number one in their event. This to me is not fair for Miss Gauff to be the flag bearer ahead of those athletes who have achieved mor

    It’s never easy for women to comeback from pregnancy it literally changes their game Serena is perfect example of it her and kim were the only ones who played at a higher level after pregnancy but Kim succeeded but she waited three years after. my opinion during that time when Kim returned, the competition wasn’t at a high-level the Williams sisters up and down with injuries.

    • @deusexmachina9776
      @deusexmachina9776 Месяц назад +1

      Serena was in her late 30s Kim was in her 20s - it is no brainer who could recover faster. Also Serena wasnt willing to put in the work when she came back, she was constantly out of shape, Kim's got back into shape, heck Kerber looks amazing now. Williams wasnt playing a full schedule. she was expecting to show up and beat younger girls who were putting in the work year round. If she had just concentrated on tennis, pushed her businesses aside, played more tournaments and got to finals outside slams and played top players in those finals i believe she would have overcome her nerves and won titles.
