Hey Okoye, we have to be careful with what we mean by "conjugate", in this video I'm discussing the complex conjugate. The complex conjugate of a real number is always itself, so the complex conjugate of -5 is -5. You may be referring to the rational conjugate or another concept. Unfortunately mathematicians sometimes use the same word to refer to different things, we chemists are guilty of it too Lol.
