Divers no doubt, there is nothing better then big groups of divers, not only do you get big groups but you never know what your going to shoot my best mixed bags have been on diver hunts
Canadian honkers definitely my top pick. Just watching them all coming in to land with the sun rise in the background is just the best in a layout blind with your buddy’s. - Claydog17
There’s nothing like Widgeons. I know you guys slay them everyday but they decoy so well and a real bull widgeon is a thing of beauty- white wing patches on the swing, aggressive whistling, and it’s not just their blocky shape but their head profile too. Of course there is always the REMOTE possibility of a Euro or Storm but I have yet to see either… out of hundreds. Ringnecks for pure lack of fear and absolute determination are a close second! In reality, I love them all. @jtdurant
The swing when you hit a widgeon with the whistle is up there with the classic mallard swing. Something so basic yet satisfying, imitating their call and it responds immediately and hard turns back into you … god inject that into my veins 😂 I love it
I shot my first ever bird out on the open water of the St Lawrence last week and I'm absolutely hooked on divers. I got a Common Goldeneye that came in fast and hard and it was a hell of an experience and I can't wait to get back out there, what a thrill!
Blue Wing Teal, There’s nothing like chasing rice rockets from the sounds they make flying over you, to the challenge they give trying to get a clear shot. Oh not to mention the table fare they bring! @1kdesmo
Wood duck. They’re gorgeous and super acrobatic, plus they taste the best personally and in Idaho not a lot of people shoot them and I have me a little honey hole.
Love divers , watching the big groups come in really love a full redhead or blue bill . Coolest duck I’d have to say is mature ruddy duck with the Carolina blue bills . Dzeller24
Anything landing in the decoys is great!! But my favorite is probably a Drake mallard or drake wood duck! Love the content fellas big big fan!! Kwilly_52
Specks… specklebellies… Tar Bellies… Bar bellies…Laughing Goose…Giggle Chickens…. Once you see em flipping upside down and waffling into the spread, you’re hooked for life. awgomes
Man there ain’t nothing like carrying on a conversation with a speck. Vocal, respond to call, small limits in the southeast, makes you soak it up more! lborden1
Big Canada honkers all day. Can’t beat the excitement when laying in a field with some buddies and the honkers are doing it dirty coming in like planes landing. -tuckerb1776
Ringnecks for the sound they make when the wind rips over their wings as the dive bomb into view! I’ve never been upset about a 6 drake Ringneck hunt! Walkn_Wild
Bufflehead hands down the best duck. Their pink feet and beautiful colored head along with the white on the drakes. Watching flocks of them work over your decoys on big bodies of water is just a sight to see. Also there whistling wings early morning before shooting is wonderful to hear. - justinchilders8
Dude puddle ducks for sure but more specifically pintails!!! Man just that brown and white along with those mature back feathers and the sprig! So beautiful. T4t3_
Definitely would be divers laying in a layout boat. Watching the birds work the decoys and laying in the decoys watching the birds come down the long lines to you. Nothing is better!! nelliscaleb
Mallards. They're big, and one of the best eating ducks, but they also are the species that works the decoys the best. They respond better to calling, and when they do it right they hover in your face right over the decoys.
Specks because there always gonna be different no specks have the same pattern and there just super fun to shoot definitely enjoy the way they fly in tho the spread don’t have instagram but that would be my go to for sure
Ringers for the win! They do it dirty and it’s my family heritage to whack ringnecks. Up in MN it’s one of the most prevalent species around during hunting season.
Ringnecks are pretty sick coming down from the heavens sounding like fighter jets but there is nothing quite like a 100% pure Florida Mallard (Mottled) locking up and giving you a nice backpedal. Blake.Leatherman
I’d have to say the good ole mallard, not because they’re the biggest or most common, but mostly because you can find a mallard in almost anything. Chasing only them for the rest of your life, you’d never know what the next morning sit will look like. Edit: and a mallard will bang anything so there’s a chance at some cool hybrids TylrJRobinson
Mallards! I grew up in the summers watching mallards on ponds at my grandparents farm. Something special about them, iconic even. They’re like the whitetail deer of the South! @edmistenadventures
I’m gonna say honkers, live the mallards and the ducks but down here in Oklahoma we don’t always have many ducks as we do ducks so I’m gonna go with Canadian honkers
Lemme go ahead and be the weird one. Hooded merganser drakes… one of my favorite birds to kill. Everyone hates on them but I love the way they look. dylan_caveness
Hands down wood ducks. Nothing beats the fluorescent colors on them, and they have the best tasting meat. Can’t wait for the day I get one worth mounting @clause1
Troy was my guide in Canada last year. Dudes an absolute machine

- Claydog17
Canada goose would be my pick. They are the most fun to hunt in the field. Thanks for these vids. They are so awesome. keep em’ coming
There’s nothing like Widgeons. I know you guys slay them everyday but they decoy so well and a real bull widgeon is a thing of beauty- white wing patches on the swing, aggressive whistling, and it’s not just their blocky shape but their head profile too.

Mallards hands down just seeing them work into the decoys and respond to your calling will get you going- jordan cribb

Teal by far the best
Canadian geese 100%. Always love to hear them coming in.
Nice hunt! I’m right down the water way on Lake Erie, Michigan. I will have to check out Troy at St. Clair hunt guides. Sweet!

Amazing footage y'all! From Sophia, N.C.
Bufflehead hands down the best duck. Their pink feet and beautiful colored head along with the white on the drakes. Watching flocks of them work over your decoys on big bodies of water is just a sight to see. Also there whistling wings early morning before shooting is wonderful to hear. - justinchilders8
Green wing teal for me. Aerobatic geniuses, don’t weigh much to carry back and always eat well.
Gadwalls, super pretty and decoy better than any other duck I have ever had come in. -Tshep1306
Wigeon for sure!!! Literally the coolest bird and decoy so well -Connor_vancleave
Dude puddle ducks for sure but more specifically pintails!!! Man just that brown and white along with those mature back feathers and the sprig! So beautiful. T4t3_
Hands down Canadian Geese!!!! Love them honkers 🙌🙌🙌

Definitely would be divers laying in a layout boat. Watching the birds work the decoys and laying in the decoys watching the birds come down the long lines to you. Nothing is better!!

Gotta go with the ol Matt Judy special, the widge. Gotta love them cottantops doin it absolutely dirty in the decoys
Blaine.Humphrey
Mallards, just watching em work, and decoying nothing better than a stud mallard-tofterylan
Pintails without a doubt, especially with those mature tail feathers, gorgeous bird - bradygilliam18
Mallards. They're big, and one of the best eating ducks, but they also are the species that works the decoys the best. They respond better to calling, and when they do it right they hover in your face right over the decoys.
Good dog work great hunt
Golden eye! diver hunting is over looked. happy to see yall beat on em good!!
@michaelfrank96
Mallards 100%

Specks because there always gonna be different no specks have the same pattern and there just super fun to shoot definitely enjoy the way they fly in tho the spread don’t have instagram but that would be my go to for sure
Swans on the great Salt Lake While smashing the teal
Ringers for the win! They do it dirty and it’s my family heritage to whack ringnecks. Up in MN it’s one of the most prevalent species around during hunting season.
Canvasbacks 100%
Canvasbacks are #1 strictly for the Huzz
Lparker_Eubanks
Ringnecks are pretty sick coming down from the heavens sounding like fighter jets but there is nothing quite like a 100% pure Florida Mallard (Mottled) locking up and giving you a nice backpedal.
Blake.Leatherman
Can't beat a great Gadwall shoot. I still have yet to find a duck that decoys harder than a group of gaddies hitting the deck. The_duck_slayer
I’d have to say the good ole mallard, not because they’re the biggest or most common, but mostly because you can find a mallard in almost anything. Chasing only them for the rest of your life, you’d never know what the next morning sit will look like.

TylrJRobinson
Wood ducks.
Nothing more beautiful than wood duck dipping and diving through the timber. Can’t beat that beautiful mullet.
@Coledcook
Mallards!
Nothing beats having coots in your face. Love your decoys and vids .
_danny_cornell_
Woodies. Love chasing them on small creeks and beaver ponds.
Hustled.tony
@huntdux4. Love the teal....Decoy well and are an awesome challege
Mallards @lancetaht but I haven’t shot much else besides woodies and ringers but seeing them break down into a little farm pond!
Mallards! I grew up in the summers watching mallards on ponds at my grandparents farm. Something special about them, iconic even. They’re like the whitetail deer of the South!
@edmistenadventures
@marvraymond
I would have to say honkers. I love a layoutblind hunting a corn field with big ol Canada's in your face.
Old squaw! Super fun bird to hunt and crazy hard to hit. Watching a group of drake old quad come down the long lines is a thing of beauty. Connor.b645
I’m taking mallards all day. Chaserhinton
Mallards for sure.
Wood ducks!! Nothing beats a Woodie diving into mojos in a corn field! Hunterpesek12
Dry land corn mallards. From the great northwest public blind.
Pintails and coots! LOL Lance.howk
I’m gonna say honkers, live the mallards and the ducks but down here in Oklahoma we don’t always have many ducks as we do ducks so I’m gonna go with Canadian honkers
Widgeons are cool
Wigeon, in south Texas you are allowed 6 and I love the way they work. Phoenixcrossrobertson
Lemme go ahead and be the weird one. Hooded merganser drakes… one of my favorite birds to kill. Everyone hates on them but I love the way they look.
dylan_caveness
Woodies they do it so good into the decoys basically anywhere you hunt
My absolute favorite is a Canadian goose. I love hearing the honkers off in the distance and working them into the spread.
@landenoney
Canvasbacks bc of how much they work and how hard it is to decoy in
Hands down wood ducks. Nothing beats the fluorescent colors on them, and they have the best tasting meat. Can’t wait for the day I get one worth mounting @clause1
Cold morning Canada honkers are hard to beat also get woodies on rice fields where I am and they do it dirty beauty seeing the drakes
I’ve been curious. What is that thing on the end of Ashur’s barrel?
Woodies, up in northern Minnesota when they do it they come in dirty. Drake woodies are also such a good looking bird.
Promer9
Mallards , the only correct answer.
