- A Marine's 4-year-old son burst into tears as he heard his new stepmom reading vows she wrote just for him. In the wedding video touching hearts across the nation, Gage Newville wraps his arms around his dad's bride, Emily, and won't let go. The boy's father Joshua Newville spoke to Inside Edition about the remarkable scene. #InsideEdition

I’m in tears too, I have always believed the world would be a better place if every child was loved and if they knew they were wanted and important to their parents. This little boy knows he is loved by her too and that is a BEAUTIFUL thing beyond words. Such an amazing act of love and devotion and a great promise made that day. This is beautiful. My cousin's second wife is exactly like her. She treated his two kids like her own from the very beginning, and now they love her just as much as they do their bio mom. It truly takes a warm-hearted person to be a great step-parent.
I am a Stepmother. In 1988 I got the amazing honor of parenting my daughter who was 5 yrs old when we met. I cried watching this video because it's so true, they give us way more than we could possible give them. I'm honored to be her parent. Her mother was very gracious, allowing us to have her. Together we raised her. I knew my place though. I was Mom #2. No exceptions. I always got permission from her Mother before I allowed, hair dye, make up, dating, etc. Today our daughter is happily Married with 2 children and I am in 7th Heaven being a grandma. They LOVE me without end and that goes double for me. Stepparent or not. Congratulations to this amazing blended family. This young Man is going to be the best Big Brother to all his siblings, bar none!

My biological dad left my mom when I was a baby, she faced many hardships to get to a good place. Seeing how strong she is, my second dad came up to her and proposed to her. They dated for 7 yrs and finally married. He's the best and he gives me the love that I never got when I was a baby. I'm so blessed to get them as my parents.

She married another man who loved her for how strong a woman she was. He's a great man. He supports my mom in every step she takes and she deserves it. Because her whole life she suffered a lot. My biological dad made my mom pay all the debts that he took. She's just a nurse. But she managed to pay it all while still keeping us happy.

I once went to a beautiful wedding where the groom gave an incredibly touching speech to the bride’s two teenage children. He gave them promise rings and told them that he’ll always be their dad and friend and of course everybody started crying, it was such a blessing to see them become a whole family in front of our eyes. One of the biggest things to me still to this day is that when my mom was getting married my (step)dad stopped and gave me his own vows and a ring I still hve.
