What an awesome and informative video. I thought the content was really good but the video editing was exceptional. Who is that guy that did the video editing? I think he should be doing something in Hollywood. If he isn't already.

Would be nice to see that bamboo getting shredded and in use as mulch... Will look up to finding all kinds of bamboo when the time comes to farm in the tropics...

Do you have a list of the different plant species you use? I'm starting a permaculture farm in the Dominican Republic and I'm not finding a lot of info specific to the tropics.

I never heard of multi-plex bamboo. Interesting. I planted five bamboo stands a year ago (clumping) It's beautiful and incredibly useful.

Is there an area of Costa Rica where there's lots of permaculture and plant based living or is it kind of all over?

Thank you very much for this very interesting and helpful video. I am interested in what you are saying in the video and I would like to understand better. You state that bamboo leaves is rich in Silica (Si) and that is very important in tropical soil because it is a binding agent. I can understand that since Si atoms have, like carbon, the possibility to make 4 covalent bonds thanks to their 4 free atoms on the outer layer. But, I think that Si is in leaves of bamboo under the form SiO4, therefore very stable and unable to make any bond with other atom in the soil. Do you think that, once mix with the soil, SiO4 can be dissolved allowing Si to be free and make bonds with something else than Oxygen. Thank you very much for your answer.

Too bad this species couldn't be used in "taking back the desert"...conditions too dry? However they are drawing moisture from the air now with condensation towers...(?)
