- 2019 Bay to Birdwood was Cathy's first and she has entered her gorgeous 1974 Chrysler Valiant VJ Regal Hardtop.
Cathy purchased her first Valiant at age sixteen and continues to love everything about them - including the way they smell!
Beautiful car with a beautiful owner inside and out …well done Cathy
As kids we would sit on the front fence during the summer and dream about what car we would drive around Australia. My brother picked this car😅.
Nice.... Really really nice!
Just love the hard tops.... R.
Lovely CAR! great color, like the 3 speed gear box, the car still looks new!
Awesome MOPAR!! Didn't know it existed. Congrats!!
great color for the old girl
Very nice. A great looking car. Love to see all your other variants too....(please!)
They are such an elegant car...when I was kid you couldn't give them away and now they are a classic.
Lovely looking car. Strange to see a Regal without an internally adjustable mirror. In NZ even the Ranger XL had that as standard. Also our Regal sedans had the CxC grill
YES VERY NICE CAR IF I WERE TO DRIVE IT , THIS WOULD ANNOY ME THE FACT THAT THE STEERING WHEEL IS NOT CENTERD WHEN IT IS GOING IN S STRAIGHT LINE ONLY ME BEING PICKY , EVERY CAR I'VE OWNED I ALWAYS HAD TO CENTER THE STEERING WHEEL UP WHEN THE CAR IS POINTING STRAIGHT AHEAD ALL BLOODY GOOD THOUGH DONT ASK ME WHAT HAPPENED WHEN I WENT TO CENTER MY XY UTES STEERING WHEEL ,THATS ANOTHER STORY LOVE YOUR VAL ❤❤❤
Very nice. Definitely a keeper.
Beautiful car 👍
What a beauty!
Very nice. Glad you are keeping in mainly stock.
Long live all the old school classics
Unusual to find a Woman interested in Valiants..would like to contact Cathy to talk about these Cars...
Very nice, love the colour. My father had a '73 VH Hardtop Regal 770 318 auto in Spring Gold which he loved and is fortunately still on the road somewhere. Lovely wagons, great to see it in good hands.
Had a red VJ Hardtop basketcase about ten years ago, was a column manual also
3 on the tree..... love it!!!
As a fellow Chrysler owner,I approve.
Actually my car club went on a run to wirrina cove a couple of months back!
I reckon this was the car that was there.
Noice
Beautiful car the coupes are so hard to come by now
Very nice I owned a VH orange regal hardtop with black trim auto on the column wood fake dash with round dials an a clock . Had the . Six and ahalf style rims with 23 5 60 white letters tyres sport system . The roof on the hardtops is lower then the Chargers put them side by side it’s a big difference . My VH came from Crookwell NSW he was a shearer only had it a few weeks. He got it of the original owner in orange NSW I sold it to help pay for my house was in good nick to someone in Goulburn have own many valiants chargers Dodges big block poly Dodge etc . I remember a green 265 Regal hardtop VJ in a car yard in Mudgee years ago mint . I also had a Factory 318 VH hardtop in my shed years ago sold to some one in Sydney . I new we’re there was a C by C hardtop been hit head on but could of been saved the story’s goes on .
Column shift manual hardtops were not seen often. Even with Holden and Ford.
& this was a much smaller seller, with most being Chrysler. You could buy anything back then.
Soon you won't even have an engine choice. Batteries only.
@@johnsergei Did see a nice green XB Falcon 500 hardtop recently, 4.9L V8, column shift manual. All original, hubcaps and all.
@@pcorf Rare even for an XB. V8 column manuals would have been a very small minority of builds. Today manuals have all but vanished from new cars.
Gorgeous old school valiant hemi lol love it in2 door
Beautiful car.
Very Nice HEMI
I bet very few manuals were ever made? & most of these long wheelbase coupes would have been the Chrysler version (which is itself a rare car).
Beautiful…and so is the car.
265in is economical…maybe compared to a 360 4BBL it might be. The manual box might drop the mpg down a bit but from memory the 265ci used to return on average about 18 to 20 mpg at best. It’s got to pull a big heavy, car around…and Vals were big. I had a VE and that was no where near the weight of the VJs and VHs.
Nice
Very nice car indeed. They just don't make them like they use to anymore, shame.
Rare car, most people wanting a 2 door bought the Charger
In the states that color is TB3 street basin blue for plymouth
I had a VK 265 . Great when new and lasted 11 years.
What happened. At 14 months a bad machining caused noisy lifter.
Engine replaced.
Borg auto trans stopped picking up first gear, trans replaced.
Front seat fell apart.
At 11 years, the car snapped in half
Bought Fairlane
I always thought the Regals were automatic. Been years since I drove a 3 on the tree.
Niiiiice!
#GOTHEMIGHTYVALIANT
How much would she be
Origanel paint it matches the engine
The steering wheel isn't aligned straight. Doesn't that annoy you? It would drive me batty! Lol.
Needs a wheel alignment
Nothing special bout a 265, poor choice of words😅.
1974 the worst year for cars in the history of auto manufacturing. Ugly and slow.
I only like the VH-CM Models , I had a VJ ex Police Charger back in 1985, I paid $800 for it, for a ten year old car it had rust issues. But drove well
