Playing with the original audio at about the same level as your guitar contributes to the misconception, it's not all about salty misogynists (though there are definitely some of those.) On the first listen, especially through my phone's speaker, it's nearly impossible to tell that there's even another guitar in the mix.
No, the techniques for this are actually much harder. You cant play this song with your hands in the normal positions, its also played with nylon strings. Those dont look like nylon strings to me

i think her fretting technique looks so relaxed that some people think it's fake but she's in perfect sync with the music. no need to fake. if you pay attention to the picking hand the precision is obvious.
She's definitely relaxed, though she moves slowly. People can be relaxed and still move fast, and since most people do that (even Tim), everyone is used to seeing that and might believe this is fake.
While there is certainly a difference in audio quality from the camera mic thats not an issue if its a demonstration. Of course awesome playing. Love when you post learning a piece as its easy to just forget we all go through the learning process.

I know a person who deliberately changes a part of a riff so people aren't suspicious of faking it, which is sad because they could easily replicate it perfectly.

Yea, been playing since I was 9 and I'm 39. She is without a doubt, tearing these riffs apart in REAL time. Look at the progress from video to video, home girl is killing polyphia with the Tod10 Look at her picking hand when the crazy alternate picking kicks in. Look at her fingers hybrid picking like tiny little geniuses - about as authentic as it gets.

I practice this song almost daily, she's legit playing. I could even hear the subtle mistake she made on the slide up to the 14th fret of the G string. Don't hate, post your own video if you think you can do better, I'm just sayin..🤘😉🎸
