I got out of the rat race bought a farm cash got a truck paid off a tractor paid off zero point mower paid off. Travel trailer paid off and 4 acres paid off. We have no bills and no debt. My wife works part time. And I work the farm. And we live like far better than people making 80k a year. We build our own barns and pergolas and decks and fix our own stuff when we can. Got no trash service. No city water service and make our own fertilizers. We can live fantastic on 1500$ a month. My story is Covid police’s made me give up my law enforcement career.

You can make a rat cookie, Just mix a large batch of some flour and BAKING SODA, sugar, or molasses. Rats cannot burp and it will kill them! bake on a cookie sheet and cut them in one inch squares put them into a bucket with a lid and cut a small hole in the bottom of the bucket just big enough for the rats to go in. I saved the plastic coffee containers and made up around 10 containers and placed them everywhere man did it cut down on the rats. Here where I live has a large slew of water that run for 20 miles they just keep coming and breed all the time but this will work to cut them way back.

Hey Justin! Farmers and those who live close to the land, are some of the toughest people I've ever come across... which is a good thing, because Life is tough and can be very unforgiving, if mistakes are made or just plain bad luck happens. I have concluded that in our efforts just to get by from day to day, we often lose sight that there is a better way to go. Life was meant to be ENJOYED. Our stress/worry levels are for too high... and the consequences of that can be fatal. I have come to believe that we need to SLOW DOWN. Stop and take a look around. Re-evaluate what we are doing. Prioritize our wants/needs/desires. Dare to be gentle with ourselves. Then have the courage to follow that course towards whatever Fate destiny has in store for us! I think you are on the right track... so keep on keeping on! I may not agree with everything you do... but, on the other hand, I would be suspicious if I did! To each his own! Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha! Thanks for sharing your thoughts, opinions, and experiences with us. God Bless Ya!

    Good words.
I had one of my wealthier customers tell me several years ago during Covid that people would be surprised how many people there are out there that live in wealthy neighborhoods with a fancy house and fancy cars that are one paycheck away from bankruptcy. He got that information from his CPA.
This gentleman, although wealthy, had a nice house but not extravagant, nice vehicles but average, and he didn’t walk around with his nose in the air.
From what I’ve seen the ones that are on the verge of bankruptcy are the ones that are arrogant and a lot of times will end up costing you money somewhere down the road.

We didn't realize it we never knew we was poor .We always had plenty to eat and the woods and the Suwannee river was our playground . We learned to hunt, fish and grow crops to sell , but we ate from it also. I have more money in savings than what I owe. No stress ! I don't worry about anything food or bills. Everything is paid for. I am blessed by the Lord Jesus Christ. He has always provided for us. I sit in the afternoons on the front porch looking at the garden and watching the sun set. Sometimes when I'm doing this I wonder what rich people are doing. Love to listen to your preaching . Straight from the Bible . No twist to justify a life style just the truth! When my elderberry came in and I got all I wanted, I left the rest on the bushes. When I let my chickens out to free range, they race to eat the elderberries that have fallen on the ground. I think that's helped with my egg production. I also over planted some mustard greens and pull handfuls to give to my chickens everyday. I always over plant collard greens, cabbage and kale to feed to my chickens in the dead of Winter. I can grow them here in central NC as long as I cover the greens with plastic using 3/4 pvc hoops to keep the freezing rain and snow off them. Making sure your chickens get a steady, fresh supply of greens helps egg production. I've planted some runs of soybean, white clover and foraging grasses to supplement their feed. I let them forage the grasses then keep them out for a week to let it regrow.

Give them black sunflower seeds, when molting they need high protein, we feed turkey or game crumbles during molt and winter due to lack of daylight and we don't run a light but rather let them take the natural rest they deserve but the higher protein does help them maintain weight and a better egg selection. We are still cleaning up garden and canning, dehydrating and fermenting. We used hardware cloth wire in our pens, and it is holding up better than traditional chicken wire. I'm bring in a tomato plant I started in a pot and we will start sprouts using radish, broccoli and alfalfa seeds to keep fresh greens in winter (microgreens)
We are debt free, other than electric, natural gas, property taxes, insurance for home and cars, then of course feed for the animals and a few things truly needed. My husband has to work, because he needs health insurance due to his leukemia. In 5 yrs. when he gets Medicare he will retire or just work part time or for himself.
Praise God you got sober and are living for God and family. LOL. Our place is our vacation and people just don't understand it, we love being home and working around our homestead. You sound like my husband, jack of all trades. My husband can make or design most anything from nothing, just items we have around. We have a truck for hauling hay and logs for firewood and an old car we paid $200 for, it needed some minor work and even doing the work and a few other things we have about $500 into it, it has 150K on it and we will run keep it until something major happens. My husband and I built his pole barn style shop, it's still not totally finished inside, we have the lights and wood to get it finished just not the time. We paid as we went and never borrowed a dime. It took a year to get it closed in. A company who builds them quoted us $38K and that was just closed in, all total, cement, insulation, lights, power, doors etc.... we have approx. $15K into it. My husband is a machinist, blacksmith, welder and his hobby is wood working. LOL! we stay away from doctors as much as possible, and we use herbs, tinctures and vet medicine. I still have a flip phone, had to upgrade due to 5 G but got another flip phone, the old one was 11 yrs old and this new one will last as long as it will. I do not want a smart phone, I like my dumb phone. My husband repairs hydraulic cylinders for the area farmers, he drive farm trucks during harvest season, sometimes we barter for hay and grain verses money. Here in MT we saw a truck someone bought and then decided they couldn't afford, and the price was 99K, unbelievable! My husband is our bow hunting lek right now, we do have a steer going into freezer next week, but we prefer wild game. Sorry for the book, but it's fun sharing with likeminded people. We're not going to take all that stuff with us anyway when our time comes when we we pass away. I had gone through all my things awhile ago, found whatever I really don't need or not at all using, either sell, donate or put in the trash if no good..I have had downsized literally and started living simple with the basic needs for living stressed free and not live beyond my means. In the same breath, if i don't have the money for what i want, ill either save up for it if its worth doing so, if not, i won't save to buy it, ill save for something else, now that i can can save for whatever else it might be, and still have money for my necessary needs in the midst. It didn't take overnight, but, its been far better than it has for me. And, more, God bless you and enjoy and been encouraging watching your video contents 🤗

“…and to make it your ambition to lead a quiet life: You should mind your own business and work with your hands, just as we told you, so that your daily life may win the respect of outsiders and so that you will not be dependent on anybody.”
    - I Thessalonians 4:11,12, NIV

You are an inspiration! .. to a lot of people I am poor 😂 however .. everything I have... I own! ... I have continingincies on continingincies... almost a years worth of food stored.. 3 months of water and filters... now I still drink and smoke.. my choice... but not one I would choose! ... but when you add up what people are getting into debt for... going without... I AM A RICH MAN! ... no disrespect to anyone else.... want and need are 2 different things! ... I would rather wait (and I have to) to buy what I want and own it! Another 5 weeks and I can purchase an item I have drooled over for 2 months. ... when it arrives its paid for 😊 ... I have said it before and I will say it again... I love your way of life!... I am not jealous... would love to be a part of something along those lines... if not my own lines... truly inspirational! ... ps you will do great things in church! 🙏

    My daughters car wouldnt start.
I took it to my mechanic. He thought it might be a sensor. The Holy Spirit told me that it was the spark coil.
When i told him that he got insulted.
So i went to the junk yard to get the sensor.
I was in line waiting to get in. The man in front of me said his son wrecked his car and it wasnt worth fixing. It was the same model as my daughters car. They offered him $75 for it. He stepped away to call his wife. I stepped up and said, Hey mister, if the motor runs i will give you $200 for that car.
I had it towed to the garage and i told the mechadnic that everything on the motor wad good. It turned out to be the spark coil.
I looked at the wrecked car and it looked bad but it really wasn't that bad. I bought a bumper and fender
And i drove that $200 car to work for sux years.
I think we are brothers from another mother, friend. May Yah continue to bless you.

Great video! This is the first video of yours that I've seen, but after watching it I had to subscribe. Extremely like-minded. If more people thought this way, there would be so many less stressed people in this world. I also have no problem with going to the Dr. if I think it's absolutely necessary. I prefer to take a natural approach if at all possible though. I'm in the process now of deciding which elderberry bushes I want to plant. I also just started sprouting. There are so many health benefits to eating sprouts, especially broccoli sprouts. My chickens even love them!
