I just tested it with an Allen wrench and it works perfect. This is how we learn from our fellow pickers. I'm stoked right now.
Bobby Keyz that's awesome! I'm loving picking these lever locks :-)
Nice job, I just got my first 660 opened today. I was watching your video for inspiration and I got it open.
That is awesome!
another awesome vid so clear easy to understand. Iv not yet had a go at these types of lock due to lack of knowledge and tools but now i think im going to try it. thankyou again sir
Darren Davenport good luck!
Perfect 👍 way without tensioner key 🔑 😊
Super.
Thank you for sharing 👍 😊
Very nice - like these lever lock pickings.
Potti314 thanks Potti314, it's a nice change of pace :-)
This video was made for me wasn't it lol. Now I have a chance to pick my JARED on video. Its the one I had in the background of my videos. It's almost identical to yours. I need to make a wire now. Thank you so much for this much needed video.
Bobby Keyz thanks :-)
Bobby Keyz hold off a bit. I was gonna send you a couple locks, some music wire and shrink wrap.
+Randy Perkins that would be cool. I was already as soon as I seen this video trying to make one from a coat hanger. It wasn't working so well. But I think if I worked at it I may have been able to make it work.
+Randy Perkins I really want to try and pick the JARED I have.
What a great inexpensive way to pick a lever lock thanks great video 👍
daz evers thanks :-)
worked a treat thanks to your video first time picking a lever lock i want to go and buy another one now its addictive 😂
baldhead fantastic! Keep at it :-)
ah very nice! I think the squire padlocks was my very first pick! and you can get music / piano wire from model shops. the right gauge will give you tension and pick wires ( really strong wire ) you would get good results using a blow torch to bend wire and some grinding is needed !!
tonyholt90 good advice, thanks :-)
Great info in this vid and the final open is always a buzz🔓😘😘😍🎉👍👍
Another really nice, thought out video Thanks👍👍👍👍👍
Pick Beard thanks :-)
great video liked the way you tensioned the lock and showing the way it works going to get one to pick myself now 🖒
baldhead how did you get on?
Very nice picking the big one open Lock Noob :). Works very nice, as I've experienced this method on a smaller lever padlock.
The only downside is, you can't get it closed this way ;D. Very nice to watch your lever videos :).
redcatimaging thanks :-) you are right about getting it closed, but that's less fun anyway ;-) hehe. Mad Bob have said my lever padlock pick set is dispatched so MORE lever vids to come my Foxxy friend :-)
Oh yeah :D. I can't wait to see more of them, you're doing a great job :). Big thanks LN :).
That was great picking, awesome, 👍👍👍👍👌👌👌👌😊
Thanks 🙏
Another interesting and informative video, great job again.
Pete Restall thanks :-)
Ok I just picked my JARED four brass lever lock that looks just like yours. I'm about to make a video on it thanks to you my friend.
Bobby Keyz awesome! I look forward to it :-)
+Lock Noob I'm uploading it now my friend. It should be up in about 30 minutes or so.
you have single handedly converted a s@#! load of people to lever locks buddy 👏👏 nice video keep it up
That's very nice of you to say, Mup I said I hope I can inspire at least one person! I don't have much in the way of lever picking equipment so I have to use 'accessible' tools and techniques. Lever picking is a dark art and one I am only really nibbling at, but it is great fun!
I love these old locks.
Nice video. I've actually been thinking of getting a 2in1 because I saw them on Walker because of your channel.
Randy Perkins I'm getting the padlock picks from Mad Bob, but I'm waiting to afford some curtain picks...
On a lock where there is a hole at the back of the keyway. Cut away the back area of the key and leave a high lift part one lever thick at the front of the key. That way you can use the hole at the back of the lock to hold the key steady, moving in and out the lock whilst lifting the levers.
If you leave the back part of the key still on, (to lift the levers). It moves around and is harder to control.
The do the reverse if using a key to pick a lock with a post in the middle of the keyway. Cut away the front part of the key, leaving the back part one lever thick. to move to the back to the lever pack, whilst tensioning with a tool from the side of the lock shackle.
Rat Lock some great techniques there @Ratlock. I might demo this at some point :-)
Hey, I learned something today!!
Jeff Moss thanks :-)
cool video m8 nice to learn more😊👍👍🔐
Leon's lockpad thanks
I have a Squire 660 that I need to open as I have lost the key! Mine is getting on for 50 years old and still looks identical to yours but it has a couple of differences. The main one being that there is not enough room to get an allen key down next to the hasp which is making life a bit awkward! It also does not have those two white washers at the pivot end of the hasp. It seems that Squire have changed their tooling down the years but the lock is still basically identical from the outside so I wonder if the inside is still the same.
Bloody marvellous 👏 got 2 b fair locknoob love the vids
nice you make it look easy
Thanks :-)
That was really cool!Thanks man
Senex Tyro thanks dude :-)
Great video!!! What size was the wire tool?
I think 1.2mm or maybe 1mm :-)

Nice, what desk vice is that please?
thats a nice pick your friend made there.. I always found lever pick prices way too high..
Arthur he made it out of music wire. I think you can get it quite cheap
Watching your video I've just opened up 4 locks that have been sitting here waiting to be picked. Well thank's to you I've done it and it took seconds wow using your method just filed the tip down a to a flat edge easier to get bar.I used single & full pack lifters both worked perfect
Thank you.Tr

My lock says square on the back I thought it was the same as yours but yours says squire. Were one letter off lol
Never had picked that kind of lock.Maybe i should trade with someone 4 this type.?!
Nice work Noob-cheerse
Boris Velinski no problem :-)
Good job.
Rat Lock thank you :-)
Good stuff mester noob👌🏻
mickeyrs3 thanks :-)
I have the MadBob lever lock pick set and still cannot pick the darnn things!! Pin tumbler no problems but I just can't get my head around levers as yet. Still not got an open from my Squire Old English 440 padlock. Think I will need to make a cutaway to understand what's happening in the mechanism!! You made it look far too easy with the Allen key technique😭
Nice
Thanks :-)
Not bad at all!
Thanks :-)
Gracias
Watch that "erm" count :)
choochoochooseyou lol, ok :-)
No offence, dude ;)
choochoochooseyou none taken :-)
These are nice padlocks but not very secure. The keys for these are widely available.
