You're welcome! For the record, I can't claim to perfectly practice what I preach, but at the very least, I think that if people would just take a moment to consider the value of other people's perspectives, we'd be a lot more understanding of each other, and the world would be a better place.

I feel so much for Luna when she says that Snowdrop was the only one who ever understood her night. I just want to tell her that I understand. I love the night. It feels so comforting. The dark is like a warm blanket, and it feels like someone is always looking out for you. I wish we had someone to make our nightmares happy, because even if you’re woken up by someone else because you’re whimpering in your sleep, you still remember what you were scared of months or years later, and the memory can be just as terrifying. I wish I had seen real snowflakes to draw on so I could wish away night terrors if I saw them in my dreams.
I don't know if you know this.... but i have a few things to say that might help you further understand about this and Lullaby for a Princess. Snowdrop is the common name of the Golanthus flower. So Snowdrop's name could also be Lady Golanthus. This video so moved Warp Out, that he put Snowdrop's cutie mark, framed, in Luna's bedchamber. You see it during the argument between her and Celestia. The flower that bent under the weight of the 'winter star' of snowdrop's was a Golanthus, aka: a Snowdrop flower. I suggest you look at the mark on the vase near the end of Snowdrop, and refer to the scene in Lullaby for a Princess. Luna said: 'She was the only one who truly knew my Night.' So, having Snowdrop's cutie mark in her bedchamber makes sense. And outliving her dear friend, was another straw on the camel's back, that eventually snapped, and we all know where that led to. Agree or not, your choice. Just my observations. the Frank Pony.
All very interesting observations. Obviously this is all fan head canon, but yes, I fully believe that there were MANY things that would have stacked up over a period of time to drive Luna into darkness. It didn't just happen overnight, pardon the expression. :)
not really LT. Snowdrop's mother would have known not only that she was blind, but that she was immune to the cold. Snowdrop felt the cold less intensely than others, and perhaps not really all that much at all. In later life, she would have appreciated Luna's cool nights, even though she would not have been able to see Luna's starry heavens. Being blind, day and night were all the same to Snowdrop as she grew up. The only real difference being that nights were cooler than the days. Oh, snowdrop, one of the most beloved fan-creations. And your reaction was priceless. I can totally relate with Snowdrop and the "more mature than the rest" thing to. You're definetly one of my favourite reactioners.
Makes me cry everytime, seriously. This and "Lullaby For a Princess" are just... waayyy too powerful in emotions for me to not cry. So beautiful as well
Only just found this channel a few hours or so ago. Didn't take long in to your lost mark reaction for me to subscribe. Each day I get pickier and pickier with which commentators I watch so I was pleasantly surprised to find another one I like. Showing genuine emotion and sharing serious thoughts and not just wise-cracking your way through the episodes is something I enjoy (that sounds a little weird on reading it back but whatever). Hope you continue on as pony moves forward!
+lieilengi Thanks, glad you've enjoyed my videos! I know what you mean regarding being picky about commentators. There's only about three that I watch myself with any regularity, though I do tend to look for other ones when it comes to certain episodes, and ultimately end up disappointed in most of them when I don't see the reactions and/or commentary I was hoping for. That's one of the reasons I decided to try this out for myself, because I thought maybe I had something to offer in the commentary department. Interestingly, I actually find that I'm getting a lot more out of the episodes when doing these reactions than when I was just watching them privately, because I force myself to analyze them further. I'm still toying with the idea of going back and doing reactions to all the seasons, because having only recently joined the fandom, I've always binge-watched them on Netflix without fully analyzing them. Would be curious to know if anyone would be interested in watching those or not, since they wouldn't be blind reactions. Anyway, I've been sick this past week, but am on the road to recovery, so I hope to be putting up more content soon, hopefully over this coming weekend.

This one pulled at my heartstrings. I know how it feels to be bullied and told that I would never amount to anything. But I'm in the process of writing a book to be published. I thank the lessons from the tv shows I watched as a kids. My little pony was one of those shows. It is heart breaking sometimes but I'm still here because of these lessons.

MLP:FIM is amazing for representation. All kinds. The ponies with disability, for example, are shown as people first and their disability second, if mentioned at all. Scootaloo is probably the only cannon disabled character where her disability ( she cannot fly, even though her wings look fine) is a focus at any point, and it’s more of a focus bc bullying and finding a way to succeed with what you can do, as apposed to near killing yourself over what you cannot do. She can’t fly, but she can ride her scooter like no one else! Snowdrop covers an emotional depth the show didn’t (couldn’t? Wouldn’t?) cover, and we will forever be grateful!
Amazing reaction! And a great and deep analysis; I really enjoyed your video. I wasn’t a MLP fan until the last two weeks of November, up to this day; but I pretty much watched all the seasons this past weeks and a lot of fan animations and reactions. Pretty deep themes for a kid’s show and well… now I’m a fan. Now I don’t usually comment on videos, unless they seem important, meaningful or they make me feel something; and your video did the trick. Really good analysis, sincere reaction and it’s pretty cool when a video really moves something emotional in someone. Gotta say, this show and some of the fan work have really left a mark in me; who would’ve known? Plus deep and meaningful rants are pretty cool too; they can help other people without the knowledge of whoever’s doing the ranting… and that’s always a good thing. So amazing job Applegeek! +LaniusLegioXIII Hey, thanks, and welcome to the herd! I've only been in this a few months myself, but if I remember right (all kind of a blur now) I ended up binge-watching the entire series through the first half of season 5 three times almost back to back. I kept picking up more each time I watched it, and then I discovered reaction videos and got a whole new level of insight into the real depth and meaning of the show, not to mention the fan content. So yeah, I know exactly where you're coming from. I've enjoyed many other shows that have huge fandoms around them, but I never felt that connected to them to actually step into said fandoms. This show, and its fandom, are different, enough so that I ripped myself out of my comfort zone of anonymity and started this channel. Oh, btw, if you like finding emotional meaning in this show, please check out my Golden Oak LIbrary tribute video if you haven't yet, as that was quite a special project for me. So many things are done so quickly in this fandom, it's hard to come up with somewhat original content, but I never saw any real in-depth tributes to the library on RUclips, so I set out to try to make my own, and am quite happy with the end result. Anyway, thanks again for the feedback. Oh, and I have not seen that video you linked to, so I'll add it to my list.

*Warning* : Talking about triggering topics. (English aint my first language so sorry if my english is broken in some places). Ive been bullied for all of my 16 years at school (started baby school at 2yo). My first year of school i got neglected and hated by my teacher and class cus apparently i was terrified and just wanted to go home, as any baby would frickin do... but guess not since the teacher hated me. And so, i was forced to stay at the back of the class to play on my own and not allowed to do anything else. I think you can guess how well the other years went: from stealing stuff from me (phone, school supplies, food,..), push me down the stairs (i had a hole in my knee from that at 9 yo), bullying, punching, slapping, pushing into walls, humiliating me in class, pinning me on walls and the floor, strangling me, locking me in rooms, attempt to kill me (at around 13 yo),... And, I couldnt get some chill time away from the bullying cus my father was neglecting and abandonned me and my mother was physically, emotionally and verbally abusing me, preventing me from eating at night if i didnt do all of my homework perfectly or if i said something i shouldnt have or even slapping or punching me for things i dont remember.. I tried ending my life 6 different times (noose, starving, dehydration, hanging, drowning and sleepless). My childhood was.. cruel. I have a bingo card full of mental disorders, i have many physical disorders too and my life has been shit. Thank god i now have a place to call home, a partner and a cute cat to help me go through life very far away from all of these people.
No matter how many times I watch snowdrop I cry every time it's so sad and touching and I just feel bad for Luna because of how snowdrop couldn't live forever like the alicorns and how she died while she was banished and just all of it is so so sad.
I know what she went through because I’m going through the same thing right now because I have different disabilities and health problems and I hate that this is still happening!

25:20 Well, have you heard about cymatics? It's a quite less known branch of science about the connections between sounds and vibrations and geometric forms and physical shapes. I think it might be relevant here. A one-dimensional wave (e.g. on a guitar string) can form only certain shapes, with nodes (non-oscillating points) places at equal distances along the string, forming what's called "harmonics", and each harmonic produces sound of a certain pitch, that is, of a particular frequency. That's how it works on one dimension, quite boring. But as soon as you introduce more dimensions (or _degrees of freedom_), the shapes of these waves start to become more complex and interesting. E.g. on a circular drumhead there can appear only certain shapes, of circular symmetry, like pieces of a cake, or a spider's web, because vibrations can oscillate only either radially (along the spokes of the spider's web) or circularly along the circumferences. And again, each shape of the wave produces a different sound. The shapes become even more complex when you mix them together in different proportions. If the medium (e.g. the membrane) has some fancy shape on its own, the shapes of the waves which can form on it, and all the different sounds it can produce, become even more complex, contributing to a unique timbre of that particular object. Sometimes it is even possible to figure out the shape of an object by the sounds it produces. (But not always - it has been proved that some shapes are equivalent by the sounds they can produce, despite being different geometrically.) I had some experiences with that as well: Once I was driving my car and there was a metal plate kicking around on my cockpit, irritating me with its noises. So I grabbed it and threw it behind me. It was dark, so I haven't seen the shape of that plate. But when it hit something behind me and made a sound, for a moment I saw its shape flashing in my mind, a bit similarly to how it's been depicted in the "Daredevil" movie: as if some shiny sound wave went through it in a dark room, making its boundaries visible when passing through it. And I thought to myself: "That's a tritone... so the plate must be a square". .... ..... then I realized what just happened. I stopped my car, grabbed that metal plate again, and took a better look. And guess what: it _was_ a square! How did I know that? Well, after a bit of thought, I figured it out: Each line of symmetry can carry its own standing wave. If the plate was a rectangle, it would have three different axes of symmetry: width, height, and the diagonals (both of the same length, so I count them as one). Three different wavelengths = three different harmonics in the sound. But if the plate is a square, it has only two axes of symmetry: the side (width=height) and the diagonals (both of them equal). So only two harmonics in the sound. Not only that, but the ratio of these wavelengths would be 1 : √2. If you have two strings in this particular ratio, they make two sounds separated by an interval of a tritone, considered to be almost the most disharmonious combination of two sounds. That's why this sound was so irritating to me. And that particular musical interval (the tritone) was what hinted my brain at the ratio of the wavelengths, and the shape of the object which produced them. Quite neat, eh? ;) There are scientists who tried to "see the music" using this technique, by reflecting light off a surface of water enforced to vibrate by some music. Go figure. There are videos on RUclips. And the more beautiful music, the more beautiful shapes of waves come out of the ripple tank; *pictures which are very similar to snowflakes*. Very complex, symmetric (or should I say *harmonious*? ;> ) and unique. This science is also responsible for the shapes of natural organisms, like plants, animals, their coat colours etc. and it is what makes them look so beautiful. (You can even connect it to Feng Shui, the ancient Chinese art of organizing space around you to make it more harmonious.) So I can imagine how Snowdrop could "see the stars through her ears" and replicate their shapes so well from how they sound to her. And why making snowflakes with these shapes could "harmonize the winter", making it more beautiful and pleasant ;)
+the MINING BROS You know, I've gotten several requests for that. Only problem is, I happened to come across it and watch it shortly before I started doing reactions. That said, I think I might do a post-watch reaction on it soon anyway, because it is intensely emotional, and worth commenting on.
To the thing on bulling, I never been bullied because I'm like Rainbow Dash, athletic, loyal, and strong. I will never see anyone get bullied because I'm sort of an anti-bully, but I'm not afraid to jump in to help if I do. My brony friends normally stick by me, yet I don't really openly express that I'm a brony.
+Riverwind _xd That's cool. Wish there were more people that could stand up against bullying, but rather than improving, I now read news articles about schools that punish students who stand up for other students that are being bullied, which quite honestly pisses me off. I know there's always multiple sides to every story, and we don't always get all the facts, but there are those who believe that it's wrong to ever fight back, and I disagree strongly with that concept. Not all fighting is good, of course, but fighting to defend yourself or someone else should never be considered wrong.
+Applegeek yeah, I never hurt anyone, I just stop them before they make a mistake they would regret. I'm friends with everyone, even the bully's. I just tell them to stop, then they listen to me because they know who I am, and that they shouldn't fight me.
+Riverwind _xd Wish all bully battles could be won so easily. I got physically hurt a few times, but for me it was more about the mental abuse, which I suspect can often actually be worse for someone in the long run.
+Applegeek yeah some people stereo-type others and I don't like it. How I avoided stereo types was tiring my best at everything I did and ignored anyone else's opinion till I worked my way to the top.
adding to your comment about the words can hurt you, i actualy wrote poem about that a while back. um... here it is? Things can change on a dime, We have all heard the rhyme. The one with sticks and stones, That ended with broken bones, But their words can't hurt you. Don't you dare say, that a few words can't hurt me. That words hurt any less than stones. ‘Cause your stones might break bones, But it’s your words that pierce my skin. It’s words that lead to disaster, It’s words that lead to death. Bones can heal, But the same cannot be said, For those that thought, They could find peace only after, They lay dead. Those that survive are left with scars. Everything that you said, Every ill-intentioned statement, Remains in their minds. Every time you turned your back, To the cries of those, That needed help the most, Are unforgotten. Don't you dare say, That you're sorry. You don't have the right. Because of those that had knives, For tongues with a heart cold as ice, Many won’t be here for Christmas night. Because of bullies in the school. Because of the monsters, That lurks behind screens. Because of the people that just stood by, To watch them attack you. You feel as though you are being swallowed whole, by the jaws of despair. With no one by your side. Don't you dare say, that everything will be alright. Not when the sharks are circling, mouths open wide. Waiting for you to make a mistake, Just so they can tear you apart.
18:12 i was once told that i had the soul of an older person inside a young persons body, it sounds weird but they were referring to a similar thing as you were saying here.
I have heard sayings like that before, and yeah, that kinda makes sense. I don't believe in reincarnation or anything like that, but some people seem to just see things differently than a lot of other people around them. It's been hard for me to make friends because I feel like my interests and viewpoints are so dissimilar from most others around me.
It's kind of forgotten equestrian history how the winter becomes peaceful without snowdrop what would happen in winter it will be just like the always blizzard scenario with the windegoes and when this episode has been added to the official mlp friendship is magic it would clear people Minds that there is another history that the only royal sisters know.... it is only my suggestion about my thoughts and do you think that starsworld is alive in that time or just still a apprentice..
SFS got bitch slapped by Hasbro some time ago. They were winding up to be a major fan creator of MLP videos, but they were a little too close to official show in looks and such and Hasbro sent them official legal documents to stop what they were doing.
+Kevin Johnsen I wondered about that. I heard some of what happened to Jan Animations, guessing this was a similar issue. :( Still glad we at least got this film though.

Apple Geek your the best reactor in the Brony community because of how much thought you put in to your comity never stop doing reaction videos I have watched every video on your channel and every time you touch my heart you explain stuff beyond what I can comprehend see you next season premiere
I am watching this at 4 or 5 in the morning... I woke up due to a nightmare and wanted to calm... yeah, that didn't work that well.
Still love your reactions, you are amazing💜
Sad to hear that just to let you know that life is bad but don't end it Instead live it to the fullest
ironic how something called "silly filly" productions could create something so heartfelt and moving.
I... I... am not crying........
This one gives me the feels every time
It's hitting me straight in the FEELS!!!😭
man this video always make me sad but I was like this video nice reaction dude
rip snowdrop
Slightly late . I was doing alright until the 1000 year time skip scene. That murdered me.
No matter how many times I watch snowdrop I cry every time it's so sad and touching and I just feel bad for Luna because of how snowdrop couldn't live forever like the alicorns and how she died while she was banished and just all of it is so so sad.
Not to mention the bulling it made me feel for snowdrop. I'm just attacked all the time for no reason at school.
im sorry for thoes bullies i also cry when i watch snow drop
I'm sorry to hear that. I can definitely relate to your situation.
That's the most saddest thing I've ever seen in my life and I will never stop crying now..
Wonderful reaction
*wipes eyes* I'm not crying. You're crying
I know what she went through because I’m going through the same thing right now because I have different disabilities and health problems and I hate that this is still happening!
Words hurt. Here, here!! sigh... story of my life, and many others'.
there is a fanfic reading for a squeal for this animation. hav to look it back up, but that will make u cry just as hard

Godammit it's 2018 and I'm still crying
T_T i actually cry each time
did you notice a derpy eyed pegasus also those ponys were jerks to the best blind pony ever
13:40 Luna is hinting that she was trapped in the moon when Snowdrop died - so the timeline is
1. last time Snowdrop talked to Luna
2. Luna became Nightmare moon
3. Luna is sent to the moon
4. Snowdrop died
5. 1000 years later
6. Luna is freed, everyone she knew and loved except her sister is gone
someone needs to make a movie about Luna right after she returns
I loved this so much but it is so sad
And Luna and snowdrop are friends and snowdrop maybe died (princesses can't die) this is so sad😢
for some reason in stead of crying my eyes dried up
Sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never stop me
its so beautafull and cute but the end was kinda sad
Quite neat, eh? ;)
There are scientists who tried to "see the music" using this technique, by reflecting light off a surface of water enforced to vibrate by some music.
Well...that was an interesting read. ^_^
What?!
I returned and became a princess
Show's opinion is adorable!!!
I never knew you reacted to this!
If you could check out this video called rememberance that would be great.
+the MINING BROS You know, I've gotten several requests for that. Only problem is, I happened to come across it and watch it shortly before I started doing reactions. That said, I think I might do a post-watch reaction on it soon anyway, because it is intensely emotional, and worth commenting on.
Aaaaw.🙁
I was ready to hop on aboard the feel train
I feel you brother, I feel you.
This was so sad I can't stop crying
There is a theory that snowdrops death was the straw that broke luna in her fight against the nightmare.
there is a snowdrop returns 1 and 2 now Everyone like so he sees
12:12
That yellow pony with a gray mane looks like its Derpys mom
It left me in tears!!!
Ever other foal is just another version of Diamond Tiara
adding to your comment about the words can hurt you, i actualy wrote poem about that a while back. um... here it is?
Things can change on a dime,
We have all heard the rhyme.
The one with sticks and stones,
That ended with broken bones,
But their words can't hurt you.
Don't you dare say,
that a few words can't hurt me.
That words hurt any less than stones.
‘Cause your stones might break bones,
But it’s your words that pierce my skin.
It’s words that lead to disaster,
It’s words that lead to death.
Bones can heal,
But the same cannot be said,
For those that thought,
They could find peace only after,
They lay dead.
Those that survive are left with scars.
Everything that you said,
Every ill-intentioned statement,
Remains in their minds.
Every time you turned your back,
To the cries of those,
That needed help the most,
Are unforgotten.
Don't you dare say,
That you're sorry.
You don't have the right.
Because of those that had knives,
For tongues with a heart cold as ice,
Many won’t be here for Christmas night.
Because of bullies in the school.
Because of the monsters,
That lurks behind screens.
Because of the people that just stood by,
To watch them attack you.
You feel as though you are being swallowed whole,
by the jaws of despair.
With no one by your side.
Don't you dare say,
that everything will be alright.
Not when the sharks are circling,
mouths open wide.
Waiting for you to make a mistake,
Just so they can tear you apart.
DA Wizad
Creative, do you like to write poems?
When I see the video it really makes me cry ;^;
hmmm i alsow was told really early on that i think like a grownup but have the heart as a child.....
Ok how long did it take a person to realize that Snowdrop is a pegasus that can't see
Snowdrop is definitely the Toph Beifong of MLP.
I'm getting goose bumps
Always so sad, even I keep watching is still sad.
When i watch this video i really cryed
Almost cried while eating stick-o
When he started watching it, he said stardrop instead of snowdrop
that made me so sad thanks for watching it
So pretty!
1:53 old pinkie with the safety pin guy?!
I cry everytime
Am I the only person who didn't cry watching this?
18:12 i was once told that i had the soul of an older person inside a young persons body, it sounds weird but they were referring to a similar thing as you were saying here.
I have heard sayings like that before, and yeah, that kinda makes sense. I don't believe in reincarnation or anything like that, but some people seem to just see things differently than a lot of other people around them. It's been hard for me to make friends because I feel like my interests and viewpoints are so dissimilar from most others around me.
I know just how that feels, growing up many of my friends were adults because I had a hard time understanding kids my own age
Yes, exactly! Even to this day, I find that I often relate more to people much older than me than I do people my age.
What would you rather be earth pony, unicorn or Pegasus
poor little snowy, shes blind :(
I wish before my little pony ended, they made snowdrop canon..... She would have been a good friend with twlight and the others.
It's kind of forgotten equestrian history how the winter becomes peaceful without snowdrop what would happen in winter it will be just like the always blizzard scenario with the windegoes and when this episode has been added to the official mlp friendship is magic it would clear people
Minds that there is another history that the only royal sisters know.... it is only my suggestion about my thoughts and do you think that starsworld is alive in that time or just still a apprentice..
She's blind thats why her eyes are like that
wow. don't I know what it's like to be snowdrop.
I almost cryed
Rip snowdrop
have you seen any of the friendship is witchcraft episodes?
Soo much for no pony dying no offence , I can't help but to think this is Canon its amazing and a explosion of emotions
I am crying
