Ford are incredibly smart and adept at using the expertise they have around the world to draw on the places that do certain things better - the best chassis engineering for cars and light SUVs in Germany, designing muscle cars and large trucks in the USA, smaller trucks (Ranger) in Australia, etc. A lot of the tech in cars these days is global, but please don’t try to disparage the Germans; they might not be perfect but holistically, most of the best automotive tech comes from there, and cars from EVERY country in the world are built with many German components.

I think its sad that some people hate on the electric mustang, they are simply expanding the mustang tree, not deleting the combustion mustang, more options is always better
People are mad that its a crossover. Not that its electric. There is zero reason for ford to call this a mustang aside from them being lousy at marjeting anything that isn't a Mustang or an F series pick up. Call it a fusion and no problem. Release an actual EV *coupe* Mustang and no problem. Everything thing about this thing goes against what a Mustang is. Its supposed to be an affordable performance coupe. So... the front grill isn't a front grill anymore. Then in this case, why the designers didn't try something new with the front of the vehicle? I mean, what's the point to create something different from the Mustang... with the traditional design of the Mustang? You can't bet with the traditional design of the massive front grill if it's precisely what you're trying to remove.

it´s much harder to store a the battery-package under the floor of a sedan or sportscoupé than in a higher built SUV. Furthermore it´s a high-demanding segment with way more customers, sales and of course a higher margin than normal cars.
@@citaron still a SUV is completely inefficient and has a lot of drag and weight. Hyundai managed to build the IONIQ with a good shape and made it fully electric. Ford could do better if they wanted to. their ford mondeo hybrid was embarassing too
That´s not apples to apples. Mustang´s battery is three times the size of the Ioniq´s. Porsche and Tesla had to cut holes in their battery packs to provide enough footspace. But it is very expensive, a 100d Tesla and a Taycan are almost twice the price of a Mach E.
