Everybody wants the latest and greatest ice fishing gear. And will spend. Ridiculous amount of money to have the newest baits, and best electrics and some will spend well over a hundred thousand dollars, for vehicles and boats. And ice fishing shakes and ice augers. But everybody is forgetting the most important and the least popular thing. Because there are more and more people fishing than ever before. Most Lakes are unable to keep up their fish populations, by natural sponing. Lakes need help with restocking fish. What good is all of the expensive gear. Unless there are fish to catch.
snow dog putting rubber mounts on the engine is a detractor to any one who has ever used a vibrator dirt packer and cutter, vibration aka shivering is how we keep our bodies warm as well. packing the snow to hard pack with vibration helps it also allows better traction on ice as the vibration bites into the ice deeper. we use a vibration hammer to drill straight thru granite rock to install high voltage power lines across north america from mountain tops to clay--- up hill, against the wind, thru 16 feet of snow and 32 feet of ice and down another 150 feet into bed rock in -20-35ºF weather. the hardest part is keeping the concrete hot long enough to cure.
the sauk river from paynesville to new london is uper hot with walley this whole past week i have been working up there all week there was 6" of pure glass as of monday dec 9th '24 hit up the bridge in the park between the two ponds during lunch break and an hour after work until saturday was also out at the ski show ampitheater out front on wednesday and the ice was about 12" at the end of our work day due to the sub zero -17º and 20 mile an hour constant wind with 30-35 gusts. there's a slight to moderate wind out of the north and west depending upon the warmth of the day as well as the time of the day the winds basically came and went with the sun. good X class solar flare caused the misery as the flare bathed us pretty fast in solar winds and just now 42 minutes ago we got a new sun plasma rip of an M class solar flare. i don't bother with the global climate terrorists calling them selves scientists aka local news weather reporters since they are only right 2 weeks out of a year. i can flip 5 coins that will come up all heads or all tails more times than those clowns are right, i just watch the data straight from the earths satellites @ daily events world wide HUGE Plasma Filament‼ M Solar Flare! / California Earthquakes Daily Events Worldwide 84.1K subscribers 656 views 42 minutes ago tell mike you'll watch more if he includes the moon phases in his video report to help us out with our epic fishing exploits and legends (stories) !?! to the vendors who make the flip over ice shacks...stop building them for 8 years olds heights. i'm 6'4" i bad mouth every ice shanty i bang my head on the roof, those bars you guys have are no exception to my bad mouthing. i've built better fold out ice shacks with plywood when i used to work for lundgrens brothers. you do yourselves so much disservice by making them for 1700's 5'4" humans. every one that goes into an 1800's st paul built house knows exactly what i am talking about and the whole reason we say st. paul should be bullldozed into the river and modernized for 21st century human living pretty damn sad when otter is beating out minnesota companies with the tallest flip up ice fishing portables @6' + with the xt cross over lodge and xt cross over cottage. your over priced lights and stakes and stuff make me laugh. i know a welder in st cloud who will weld up an ice auger adapter for even 60V impact drills for $20 an hour and do it in about 20 minutes with nothing more than a 1/2" socket and a piece of rebar. and you clowns want $40 -$80 for those adapters, heck M&L welding will even add a 8" piece of rebar as a handle. at no extra cost. battery power bank and $20 LED strip light from walmart makes your lights a joke, rail road spikes and a 5# hammer make your ice stakes useless and more work that they are worth. heck even mother nature and a bit of water in some pre frozen soup cans of water make better ice anchors. i've already got the drill out there some 1/2" x 6" lag bolts from menards or fleet farm or home repo do a better job faster..... it's like your german engineers and the russians are kicking your butts with basic necessities in ww2. over complicating things leads to bankruptcy, i watched all of new yorks manufacturing up and leave for china and now the chinese are ripping off all your tech and selling it back to america for 10 cents for every andrew jackson you charge.
