Actually my first time doing a real how-to in a while... Thanks for your patience as I get back into the sling of things. Next video I'll be making good on the poll I did asking what builds you Wellas wanna to see. Remember to check the Desc for links to things mentioned in the video. Thanks a bunch.
Not gonna lie, if you flat out told us that you borrowed a design from someone else, we'd be fine with it. We Love you Eli, brother you've given us so very much in such a short amount of time. Truly, I wish we could give back to you more than through sponsors, which is why a lot of us got your shirts. Stay safe, God bless, and may your family be and stay well!
Dude, I really dont care that someone else did it first. At this point in time it is really hard to come up with something never done before. What matters is that you had fun and made an entertaining video to watch! Props to giving that Russian guy a shoutout at the end, class act! Really enjoy your videos, keep up the great work!
Eli, I’ve been watching your videos since I was in middle school, and I’m 21 now, moved in with my now wife about 6 months ago, and just got married two days ago. I’ve enjoyed every one of your videos you’ve ever made, and you’ve inspired me to take pride in working with my hands and being creative
That work around for getting the vacuum cap is awesome. The mark of a true fabricator/engineer/machinist, is unique solutions to unique problems. Favorite part of the video. Nicely done man.
hey man ive been watching ur videos since the start of your channel and i had stepped away from tech due to being away for the army and i just saw a notification for this video and had the craziest nostalgia i love seeing ur videos even years later
You did good, bubba- and I like the way you owned it at the end- I work construction and there's a saying that there are no new million dollar genuine new ideas... Every time I think of something and having never seen it before, I'll look into it and someone else has already done it... I haven't seen any of your videos in a long time- glad you stuck with it... Be blessed.
13:25, maybe put a red ribbon on the arrow, or even set up a piece of cardboard to act as a backdrop when you do a highspeed shot. it'd make the arrow much easier to see.
@4:41 had similar thing happen to me at work while cutting cable channels to fit right under the ceilings of a stairwell, it's easy, but you gotta spend some time thinking about it to get it right
Been watching this guy make weapons for 20 years! One of the first youtube channels i found as a kid who loved making things. Had a blacksmith forge and access to some tools that I probably shouldn't have. Good times.
Dude I just got recommended this video after like 7 years of absence, you’re channel pretty much raised me and my interest in creating. Good to see you again man!
I wouldn't beat yourself up about the accidental duplicate invention. I think a lot of these ideas have been kicking around for decades. I've been reading a book published in 2005 that talks about joining differing diameters of rubber tube. They're cool, clever ideas that I'm stoked to see people doing
Your character arc progresses :) Just keep riding the roller coaster, you'll find another upslope again sooner than you think. Been loving all your different content phases for years now, all you can do is be you.
7:14 Grant had a video up where he mixed silicon caulking and corn starch to make a putty for grips and handles, for future personal projects. I've used that trick for screwdrivers and an alignment punch, once.
Been watching since the how to: throwable spears, I was 12-13 at the time just getting out of my skydoesmincraft phase. But just wanted to say thank you for still posting after all these years. I love seeing your journey and hope you keep posting for a while🙏🏽😁
I don't think you should let "it's already been done" stop you from sharing your process! What I enjoy about your videos a lot of time is hearing and watching your thoughts process.
Love the vid your intro always makes me nostalgic. Just because you created something someone else did just means that you are thinking in a good direction. I understand why the vid is, don't get discouraged. I for one look forward to every upload you are one of very few channels I have set to all notifications because I don't want to miss one. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year may God bless you and your family.
It's gotta be frustrating to have put that much time and energy into this to have found out that dude had come up with the same idea. I'm glad you still uploaded the video, though, cause it was cool to see the whole process and trouble shooting.
And another way, you could have attached them together you just tie a knots on both sides of a small piece of para cord and then after you put the a I knot inside of the rubber, you just zip ties them or tie them. It works pretty good.
don't ever lose heart in the spark of invention. one must have this in mind it was a good idea from start to finish you had an idea and worked to solve issues to make it a real thing. the only issue is someone else may have thought of the same idea it doesn't take away from it more to the point it was such a good idea that someone else had it that is kind of amazing imo. I have had that happen a few times good idea's the way we execute them the paths we take could be different, but the solutions change the final product do to physics and availability of the resources we use so this could change our final products to something more similar than we first Invision them you did the right thing to inform people as soon as it was discovered. it is like making primitive fire we can go about it in many different ways, but the end result is the same. it doesn't mean your effort or idea is better or worse it is just different. with the old saying a better way to skin a cat "who skins cats?" keep building keep thinking outside the box we will enjoy the ride.
Ha that has happened to me before too. I remember building a glove and boot drying system when I was...8 or 10. A few years later I saw nearly identical design in a sporting goods store.
They sell cold steel products too! I think Dave Canterbury used to take like 2-4 inches off to get 45lbs but I haven't seen it in years. Go full Crisis bow on it with some spot on broadheads.
@ZNA_Productions haha yea definitely on the ugly side, but definitely worth a secret RnD. Something iv messed around with is flat bands with tiny ammo(4,5mm) with blistering speed being the goal. Zip a neat hole clean through an empty beer bottle kinda speed. Much love from the uk bro.
Eli, now that you've made sling bows..... can you make pellet bows next? it's like the opposite of sling bows. it's a bow that can shoot rocks. I think it'd be pretty cool if you do :D

Epically using skills from the last few months of videos
this dude really inspired my career. fell in love with creating after making a pvc bow in 5th grade. now i’m contractor
That's awesome to hear, thanks so much for sharing that.
Anyone else thinking we need to chip in together for a plane ticket so we can see a ZNA/JeorgSprave collab?
This, my fellows, appears to be the birth of a baby Joerg Sprave. Next he'll be making massive novelty folders and fully-semi-automatic crossbows.
* wellows 😂
Im really surprised there weren't more Joerg references in the comments.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

Any else here remember back when he use to make badass weapons for ZombieGoBoom's channel to test on their zombie analog heads? Man how time flys
I never realized that he was doing that. But I do remember enjoying watching ZGB. That was a fun channel.
Great video, great channel ❤
