- The trucker convoy that started in B.C. and picked up steam as it headed east towards Ottawa made its way through the Greater Toronto Area on Thursday.
The “Freedom convoy” is a protest against the federal COVID-19 vaccine mandate that came into effect on Jan. 15, which requires unvaccinated or partially vaccinated truck drivers crossing the Canada-U.S. border to quarantine for 14 days.
People lined the sides of highways and gathered on bridges, with many waving Canadian flags in support of the truckers.
“It’s real Canadians who are supporting real Canadians,” said Gina, who came out to support the truckers and their message. “I do love them, these are hero truckers…they’re fighting for us,” she added.

The reporter was there to report, not challenge an old lady on the news. Vaccine mandates have been around for decades. I got Hep B in elementary school, Hep.A to work serving food and a whole bunch more to go travelling. Get over yourselves minority of truckers. Even their own association is against this stupid protest. What about the doctors and nurses working in the front lines? I am sick of these cry babies worries about a vaccine.
In my 30 years I have never seen Canadians come together like this before. This is a peaceful movement that is to end mandates for everyone in Canada. I am proud to have been a part of the initial send off her in Delta BC.. it was way bigger than any of us expected an now in MONUMENTAL! GO CANADA GO...LETS GET THAT FREEDOM BACK!

I was out in Toronto (Vaughn) yesterday in the freezing cold among thousands of others. First time in about two years that I was proud to Canadian. It took us a long time to reach a breaking point but I think we’re finally here. GO TRUCKERS GO!

I was there at Keele overpass too that day. Blew my expectations away. I thought maybe 50-100 people would show up. It was a random weekday afternoon, freezing cold and it is Toronto after all. But boy was I ever wrong and glad I was. Amazing how we all came together in the depths of winter for our freedoms.

I'm ok with being wrong, but so far I've not seen any long term human studies on the effects of any of the current injections offered. People don't realize that this has affected them directly and indirectly. Everyone try to justify their choices because of the media brushed us all with different colors and turned us against each other.
